    Technic 2020 Set Discussion

A blue bird...hmmm. A plane? A vehicle named after a bird? Or perhaps an actual bird? ? I love leaks! Did I mention I also hate leaks?

    General Part Discussion

Yep, definitely. I'm curious which piece they used for the disc. After thinking it over, this could be a pretty cool set to go with my Technic bikes. It's in the same scale and $90 is not bad at all for such a large motorcycle.

    General Part Discussion

I immediately noticed the wider rear tire as well, and cannot wait to get one for my superbike. It looks to be the same size and tread pattern as 8420 I think so hopefully it fits existing rims. The chosen rims for this set are not that appealing to me and I would have preferred a V-Rod/Night Rod Special set instead but whatever. There's just so much gray plastic to look at whereas the real bike has chrome.

[PRESS RELEASE] 75936 - Jurassic Park

I think it's a very cool set, but I was expecting to see a price of around $150. I know it has 3,120 pieces but it really doesn't look it. I'd love a standalone T-rex

[MOC] Volvo L 350H wheel loader

I think it looks superb, and really wish 42030 looked this complete. Nice job!

    Building instructions on Google+

I had not even thought of this! I just uploaded .zip files of Madoca's photos to my Bricksafe page, if only until a proper place can be found to store them.

42078 Mack Anthem Mods and improvements

Now I want this set! Brilliant job! As a New Yorker I appreciate the snow plow.

    [MOC]Lego Suzuki Jimny Sierra

I had hoped someone would do a Technic version. Instantly recognizable; nice job! Now if only we could get the Jimny in the U.S.

    Technic 2019 Set Discussion

I have had success removing tampo prints with rubbing alcohol before, and Goo Gone would probably work too.

    BMW S1000/RR

Very nice; great proportions! After trying many times to add a working gearbox to my own superbike, I am still baffled by it. Not enough room and not enough brain power I guess. I'll have to try it with the orange selector gear sometime.

    42056 - Porsche 911 GT3 RS - MODs and Improvements

This is common on all parts that use the + axle hole, unfortunately. The plastic is too thin.
  13. It's absolutely stunning indeed! To say you captured the lines would be an understatement. And, thank you for making a manual version.

    [MOC] Black Mamba offroader

Very well done! I too love the working fan I appreciate the smaller off-roaders and wish LEGO would do something like this. Technic, plus system and RC.

    42083 - Bugatti Chiron

I tried doing a comparison using those exact images but realized that the perspective of the side view of the actual car is off, making the front overhang appear shorter than it really is.
  16. Thanks for posting the full reveal. The "official" stream was very short for some reason. It must have been a really great experience no doubt, but I would have been quite anxious having to speed build in front of that many people while being streamed live. The set isn't perfect but I do think it ticks most of the boxes that it needed to. The stickers though...

    The front suspension is worrying

    42083 - Bugatti Chiron

If you look at the die-cast car world, Bugatti replicas usually carry a premium. A normal AUTOart model car is around $150-$180 US, however their Veyrons and upcoming Chirons are close to $300. Even with the low end Bburago there is a 15% increase for the Bugatti license.

    42083 - Bugatti Chiron

The LEGO Group originated this mass leak by not only shipping the product to stores but allowing them to be sold. I'm excited for the reviews, the various mods that improve it, and MOC's built using the new pieces. That is all that matters. This cat was well out of the bag by what is the internet equivalent of a years' time and I imagine LEGO are quite miffed indeed. The sets should have been shipped to stores a week after the unveiling, simple as that. Back on topic, I must say that I love the inclusion of the key feature. A very nice touch.

    42083 - Bugatti Chiron

I managed to save the video, uploaded to Singapore Technic on FB I'm very impressed with this set, and that is something I could not say about the Porsche after the first reveal video. The Chiron is quite something.

And working rear spoiler / air brake. We know it moves, just not sure how yet Actually, looking at the 1:1 key that is included I wonder if that gets inserted somewhere and turning it raises and lowers the rear spoiler. Hmm...

    42083 - Bugatti Chiron

Ugh, stickers. I know many of us droned on about this when the Porsche was released but come on! A $350+ set with hardly any printed pieces? At the very least the front Bugatti and rear EB badges should be printed, as well as the door trim pieces that complete the "C" shape. Very disappointing to say the least. Things like gauges, dash elements and door handles I can understand though. If I were Bugatti I would have demanded a printed logo to make sure my brand were a permanent fixture in LEGO.

    42083 - Bugatti Chiron

For some reason I had just assumed the rims were black with silver printing this entire time, but it seems that they are actually dark blue. A nice touch

    42083 - Bugatti Chiron

Liking what I see so far. The color vomit is really not needed and looks atrocious, but it is expected since LEGO has embraced the build-by-baby-steps method. "In my days LEGO Technic sets were a challenge!" It will be a shame if no AWD as that is a crucial part as to why the Chiron is so quick off the line. That would be a much larger omission than not having four wheel steering like with 42056.

    42083 - Bugatti Chiron

I am very happy with how this turned out. From what I can see, I say job well done to Aurelien on capturing the difficult curves and lines of the Chiron. We must also remember that we are looking at a rather poor photo of the box of this set. The flex tubing used in the interior is meant to represent the "C" shape of the actual Chiron's cockpit.
