Went to the lego store this morning and felt out 9 packs. I need to go back and find Apu and Maggie. Passing on Marge. (I just can't get over the lack of shoe detail), Wiggam, Nelson, Krusty, and Grandpa. In hand the figs are more impressive than anticipated although I strongly dislike the soft plastic heads on itchy, scratchy, and burns. Can anyone tell me which type of plastic Apu has?

I think that is a really ugly set. -
I purchased that set a week ago at Walmart in Las Vegas. They also has the new Friends Emma's flower stand polybag out if anyone is looking for it.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures - The LEGO Movie Series Discussion
skelliesgang replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I haven't seen the minifigs anywhere in my local area for the past month and a half but I was visiting Las Vegas over the weekend and miraculously walmart had 2 complete cases out. I felt through an entire box and got the ones I wanted: Larry, cat lady, Gail, Shakespeare, Velma staplebot, and the mermaid. -
Is that a new hair sculpt on Luke? Sorry, but I've been out of the Star Wars loop.

Aw, I was hoping Flanders would be dressed in his stupid sexy ski suit.

I'd love to see a Monster High line utilizing the Friends minidolls. It would be great to see darker colors in a "girl's" line. Unfortunately Mattel, the parent company of Monster High, already has Mega Block Barbie, so I don't see LEGO MH coming to fruition anytime soon.

The same can be said for Rapunzel's Tower. The use of vine pieces would have been so much better than those awful giant stickers we ended up with.

^^^ This is actually true; the Disney villians have their own offshoot line of merchandise. We can only hope that the LEGO princesses prove to be popular in sales, which should be an obvious indicator to expand to the villians franchise. I think a blind bag set could turn out really fun.

Snow queen = Elsa from Frozen

LOL... Matthew, Robert, and Daniel must be triplets.

Here are some ideas I have for a future wave. I tried to keep the set sizes similar to those in the initial release: - Snow White cottage (150-200 pcs): similar to Merida's set, maybe with a kitchen behind the facade. A broom would absolutely be included and if TLG would give proper respect to the villians, the Evil Queen in her old peddler woman disguise, too. - Anna and Kristoff's Sleigh Ride (250-300 pcs): includes Sven, and wolves (Don't worry, Kristoff's got this under control!) - Aurora's Castle Chamber (250-300 pcs): includes bed, boudoir, three fairies, a fireplace with secret passageway, spinning wheel, and ... Maleficent! "Touch the spindle...TOUCH IT I SAY!!!" -Jasmine's Oasis Garden (75-100pcs): includes a bird cage with bird, Rajah the tiger, a fountain, and a palace wall with tree that she can climb over to escape from her restrictive royal life! - Tiana's Riverboat (large set): I don't think TLG has tackled a sternwheeler yet and I think it would look awesome - Pocahontas' Forest Hideout (polybag): a rock, stream and bush mini build so she can stealthily spy on John Smith (not included). Includes Flit the hummingbird.

I highly doubt characters from the crappy direct to DVD cheapquels are coronated into the official disney princess court.

Any word on a summer or fall wave? I am smitten with this line.

My local lego store had all of sets available. I picked up the Rapunzel's tower. I was debating getting this one over Ariel's treasure but I decided I did not like build of the mermaid set.

Any rumors regarding poly bag sets in 2014? I hope for a gorilla set myself.

It would be neat to see 2 Rapunzel towers clam shelled together. I wish they threw in a Mother Gothel minifigure (I refuse to call them dolls). What make these fairytales so great are the antagonists.

Being a huge Disney nerd I have to nitpick: Ariel is wearing the wrong dress in the Magical Kiss set. Given it represents the "Kiss the Girl" moment in the movie she's supposed to be wearing a blue dress with a black bodice. The pink gown appears in the dinner scene when she combs her hair with a fork. Anyway, these sets look appealing and I like Rapunzel's Tower and Ariel's Amazing Treasure (Flounder!) most out of the bunch and will most likely pick up the mermaid one.

I'll be attending the con. Can't wait!
