Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

Netflix and Dreamworks just announced a new animated series for 2020. I reckon we will be getting various sets from this show: DreamWorks Animation today announced Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, an animated action-adventure series, is set to debut globally on Netflix in 2020 as part of an ongoing multi-year agreement with Netflix to produce original animated kids and family programming. Set within the same timeline as the 2015 blockbuster film, Jurassic World, the Netflix original series is inspired by the multi-billion-dollar franchise from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment. Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous follows a group of six teenagers chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar. But when dinosaurs wreak havoc across the island, the campers are stranded. Unable to reach the outside world, they’ll need to go from strangers to friends to family if they’re going to survive. Scott Kreamer (Pinky Malinky) and Lane Lueras (Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny) serve as showrunners and executive producers. The series is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, and Colin Trevorrow. Zack Stentz serves as consulting producer. Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous builds on a successful five-year relationship between DreamWorks Animation and Netflix that has seen 18 original series debut on the service, including the Tales of Arcadia trilogy from Guillermo del Toro, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Spirit Riding Free, and The Boss Baby: Back in Business. Following NBCUniversal’s acquisition of the studio, DreamWorks Animation and Netflix expanded their relationship to include first looks at animated series based on Universal Pictures properties as well as original and acquired IP. DreamWorks Animation has a number of additional series slated to debut on Netflix in 2019, including Archibald’s Next Big Thing from executive producer Tony Hale and the highly anticipated Fast & Furious animated series. About The Jurassic World Franchise From Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, the Jurassic World franchise immerses audiences of all ages in a new era of wonder and thrills where dinosaurs and humankind must learn to coexist. Jurassic World is more than a film franchise. At every turn, this $5 billion film series delivers a larger-than-life destination for exploration, discovery, and epic adventure. Dinosaurs live again and they live in Jurassic World. The third installment in the Jurassic World film series hits theaters on June 11, 2021. https://jurassicoutpost.com/dreamworks-announces-jurassic-world-camp-cretaceous-an-all-new-animated-series-roaring-onto-netflix/

    Chinese New Year’s sets -2019

I just came back from Korea and saw these sets at Lotte (curiously, not at the official Lego Store). Picked up the 80101 CNYE Dinner because they only had 2 boxes remaining, even though I suspect this set will be rereleased worldwide next year.
  7. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be the train that encircles the park and will probably include Main Street Depot and a Mickey “floral”, seen at the entrances to the parks in California, Florida, and Hong Kong (Tokyo, Paris, and Shanghai have modified entrances that are missing all three elements together in the same location)

    Disney Princesses 2017 - Rumors & Discussion

I see that Ursula and the Fairy Godmother have been on the Lego Friends Diet... Poor use of stickers in the Mermaid set. The transformation chamber confuses me. You have a sticker of Ariel and yet place the mini doll in there...redundant?
  10. My faves / must haves (I tend to favor figs with vibrant color design): - Dance / Aerobics Instructor - Pretend Butterfly Girl - Rocket Boy Average figures I will get for the accessories/parts: -Frenchman (<3 that bulldog!) -Veterinarian (Rabbit) -Pastry Chef (Whisk and Pie with new strawberry print) -Hot Dog Stand Guy (I hope he's on roller skates) I'll probably pick up the Corn Suit guy although the face print is lame. Everything else I will pass on.

  12. Thank you for the in depth review. One gripe though, an Orca is not a shark. Orcas, also known as killer whales, belong to the dolphin family.

Skipping on this set. I've got no room to display such a massive piece and the minifig assortment is less than stellar. I'll just be admiring it in photos.

  18. My local Lego store in Los Angeles area had S16 out today. I was short on time and could only feel for the few I wanted, but still need to come back to find the babysitter. About to unwrap these packs right now!

Except for the fact that there's a picture of the Disney World Castle on the back of the box, making it clear and obvious what the set is a reproduction of. 71040 The Disney Castle by The Brothers Brick, on Flickr

Looks good but the minifig assortment could've been more interesting. I would've liked a fully enclosed castle but I understand why the didn't to keep the piece count/price down. Just estimating the height by eye...maybe just short of 2 feet?
