I wanted to tell you about a new little creative venture of mine - a photographic comic strip set in the world of Lego Space and starring the classic sets. There's some space drama, mostly silliness, but it's intended to be a loving tribute to one of my favorite toylines of all time. I'm gonna try and get a new comic or three up every week or so. It also gives me an excuse to do something with my Lego sets other than display them, build them or keep them in storage. I was certain that I once had a Chrome Gold LEGO Crown Headgear piece (#71015) without any ridges on the inside. (It allowed me to place a crown over an old school spaceman helmet in my comic!) But I lost that piece recently and every attempt to buy a replacement has been a crown with ridges on the inside, which makes it impossible to use the crown as I once did. Does anyone know if there was a running change to add the interior ridges for more stability, and when this might have changed? Thanks! Kevin

That's unfortunate! I'll have to see if I can find a seller who will check for the version I need.

Very interesting, but there's no description of what that is. Perhaps it is the variation I'm thinking of and both versions were alternatively included in the same sets?

Yes! That suit was from the old Life on Mars series. I can definitely see a connection there with the new set!!

The logo looks really sleek with the white and silver suit. In my head, this would be a deep space explorer from perhaps a slightly earlier time than traditional Classics Space.
