Yeah, both are cool, but that mech is outstanding. Great job!

Picked up a second Hulk at the Cincinnati LEGO store yesterday, and learned today that they were sold out. Got it just in time.

I've purchased the same three sets so far and I agree with you that Shelob is awesome. Loving the LOTR theme. Gotta save now for the rest of them.

Monster Fighters 2012
TheLegoJoker replied to Darth Nihilus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I definitely buy more for the figures than the bricks. Just like the style of them. There are a lot of great sets too, but usually the minifigures are the deciding factor for me if I'm on the fence about a set. I'm looking forward to these monster sets, though, both for the minifigures and the sets themselves. Going to be a fun theme. -
LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion

Definitely think Spidey should have had a red torso, but I'll be happy enough with the figure. To me, the first Spidey is the best overall but I like the new head better. -
Nice transformation, Hobbestimus. And Solscud007, seeing your pic makes me hope that LEGO does another Tumbler set. Nice little setup there.
-
Those tan legs look good for a mid-transformation Hulk to be used with the larger, sculpted Hulk. I might try that out for a photo op or something, but I don't have a major issue with the official purple pants. Yes, an all-around printing would have been nice, but this is such a great figure that I can overlook the lack of leg printing. Gonna try to get at least two of these before the promotion ends.

I've put off buying the Quinjet just for the Hulk promo. Heading to the LEGO store on Friday after work. Finally!

@MightyMegs - Nice nurse Joker picture. I did the same thing myself, except I took some Brasso to the darkened sides to remove the "hourglass" figure from the torso. Now I have a set of male and female scrubs. :)

Single Pane LEGO Licensed Theme Funnies

Still working on my lighting and just started on flickr, so I may experience a few bumps along the way... Anyway, here's one I put together this evening. -
Single Pane LEGO Licensed Theme Funnies

Oky, I enjoy most all of your funnies, but that Avengers one is really killing me. Extra points for placing it as a spoiler so as not to ruin it for someone who hasn't seen the movie yet. -
I agree that the third leg should have extended further, and I also agree that this is a set not to be missed. I had a blast building him. I think the numbered bags really helped cut down on the sorting time, and I had R2 built in just two evenings. I don't usually buy models, as I stick to Minifig sized sets, but this was just a must have piece and my wife doesn't object to him standing in the living room. :)
-
Threw this together this evening. In case the resizing made the print too small to read, here's what it says: C-3PO: "Indeed we ARE the droids you're looking for!" Stormtrooper: "Run!"
-
I'll have to get one or two of these to go with my Vader. Of course, I won't leave them as keychains. They'll be converted to oversized Minifigures.

Here's a picture of the new cowl with the old head. It shows a bit of the black line from the "headband" but looks much better than the newer head, in my opinion.
-
Asked LEGO on their twitter account if there would be a new head to better match the new cowl, but never got an answer. I posted in another thread, but the older style Batman heads work much better with the new cowl. I suppose the old printing was a bit lower than on the new heads. As for me, I prefer the new cowl. I think it looks way better than the original one, but I'd really like to see a newly designed head.

I checked mine, and my Iron Man has cracks on the backs of his feet. I guess maybe that particular color of plastic doesn't hold up as well, but who can really say? Also, on the aliens, the General has a flat gold head and is fine but the foot soldier has a shinier gold head and both of mine are cracked in three places. Reminds me of the glow in the dark Voldemort heads from years back. Gonna have to get these replaced.

Yeah, apparently Cap has a thing for the tanning bed when he's not fighting villains. :) As for the new cowl in the jetski polybag, the older style Batman heads seem to work a bit better than the new heads. Lower printing, I suppose. -

Did you find them in a store, or order them online? -
The visor actually slides up. What I really like is that it kind of clicks into place when in the down position.

That's good to know. I haven't been able to find any info regarding the length of the licensing agreement and was worried we'd get a repeat of the original Batman theme. -
Love the BTAS logo and the Batman villains shot!

Yeah, I don't see these lasting the whole time either. I'm going to make sure I've got the money for my Quinjet on the 16th. Not gonna take a chance on missing out on this.
