Well, this certainly was unexpected... I'm not a big fan of the Architecture line. Not sure if it's the lack of minifigs or just the ridiculous prices, but I've never had much interest in the sets. Also, I think there are many more fun themes to base a month on, and it seems to me that this idea came from TLG rather than from our admins, but maybe it's just me. I do like the new banner and skin, though, and look forward to the entries in the contest.
So, does this mean that the CMF Series 6 contest will be put off for another month because of this?
I'm going to have to agree with Oky. Not to be a downer, (I like the banner) but Architecture wasn't my first choice for a themed month. I like sets and MOCs that can incorporate minifigs. Still, this should be an interesting month.

Gar vor'entye
Not to make this go off-topic, but I spent quite a while looking "Gar vor'entye" up on the Internet. Is it Mandalorian for "I accept a debt" or "You're welcome"?

These:
Hmm... The only one of those I have is young Han Solo, but I'm pretty sure he's complete. I must've gotten Max or the birthday fig in a used lot of LEGO I bought. Thanks Legoman273!

CW Anakin never had that hair.
Wow, I just checked my 7769 Anakin's Jedi Starfighter instruction manual, and you're right! I'm shocked because I used that hair for Anakin for a couple of years! Anybody know which minifigs DID have that hair?

The DC minifig I would want would definitely be a redesign of Nightwing. Firstly, because the prices to buy a Nightwing minifig right now are through the roof! Secondly, because they seriously had flaws in the old one. Nightwing should have had straight black hair (Prince Dastan hair in black), and black batons. (I really hope TLG is reading this)

It's nice, but there is one thing that disturbs me: the wheels. I think wooden wheels would have been a better choice. This way it just feels anachronistic. Besides that I like it. Keep building!
Thank you! I can't believe that never crossed my mind
I'm going to change that later today! I'll have pics of the new version up later.

Hi! I'm ready to show my first MOC. I know it's small, simple, and badly photographed, but I'm proud of it. It is a small cart pulled by a horse. Here are the pics:
EDIT: I've changed it to have wooden wheels:
An overview:
Just the cart: (it is tiled bley and grey underneath the crate)
Thanks for looking! Comments and Criticism please, I can take it!

I' m interested in joining, please. (I HOPE I have enough time...)

Flickr is good, provided that you can handle extracting the image code from a mess of a URL. (It becomes easier the more you do it.)
Thanks, but I ended up choosing MOCpages as it's specifically for LEGO. I'll have up a small MOC soon!

My sig-fig is pictured in my avatar. Sorry for the horrible quality, I had issues sizing the image to 100x100 pixels. It is a fairly accurate representation of me in real life. The torso and legs are from Harry Potter in casual clothes. The face is just a standard smiley on flesh. My favourite part is the hair. It comes from CW Anakin Skywalker before they changed his hair to a different style.

I was wondering what the general opinion of the Battle for the Cowl series is. It looks interesting but I'm not sure whether it's worth buying. I'm sure Batbrick or The Penguin will have some useful feedback:)
EDIT: Bought and read Battle for the Cowl, holy smokes it's amazing! I love the storyline, and it's really intense with Gotham falling into a state of complete madness! I COMPLETELY recommend it to any and every fan of the Batman universe!

The first part of my name "purple" comes from the BEST LEGO COLOUR!!! The "paradox" part comes from two different places.
The LU faction, and just paradoxes in general. If you want to see some interesting ones, follow the links in my "Hi From Canada" topic.
So yeah, "purpleparadox"

Brickshelf has been acting up for a couple weeks. First it was completely down for days, then it came back up, then it was up and down and up and down, and now I hear it allows you to view images but not upload them. I'd say that the lack of a confirmation e-mail is due to technical problems on Brickshelf's side of things, and I have no idea when you'd actually get it. In the mean time, I recommend you sign up for another, more reliable image hosting site, such as flickr or Photobucket.
Thanks for the quick reply! I think I will try a different site.

Hi! I did a search for this, and found a similar topic from 2009. However, the question was never answered, so I thought it would be acceptable to start a new topic.
When you sign up for Brickshelf, it says you will recieve a confirmation email to activate your account. I signed up several days ago (as I was hoping to post a small MOC) but never received an email. So, my question is, how long does it take for the email to be sent? Do I just have to wait or did I make an error in registering? Thank you in advance.
Apologies if this question has been answered elsewhere, or if it is in the wrong section.

Welcome to Eurobricks! Paradox was always my favorite LEGO Universe faction...
Paradox was my favourite faction too, but that's just half the reason I chose "paradox" as part of my name.
It's also because I love thinking and learning about paradoxes. For example: The Grandfather Paradox

It wasn't a set that first brought me out of my dark ages. It was a video.
I saw the Padawan Menace and found it amusing, so I bought it and watched it. I enjoyed it, but I still wasn't quite out. Then, I saw Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter and had to buy it, mostly for the minifig. Then, I was FREE from my dark ages! I bought a few other sets, and then I found EB and was completely hooked. It's funny that it was SW sets that brought me out, as it's not even my favourite theme!

My absolute favourite would have to be any and every comic about Batman. He's my favourite comic book character easily! (Actually, Nightwing's my favourite. Batman is second.) I just read Batman: Gotham Knights #1 and Batman: Arkham Unhinged #17 and #18.
As for comedy, Dilbert!

Welcome to EB!
Can wait to see what you've built.
Thanks, I should have it up later today/whenever I get my confirmation email for my brickshelf.

.Welcome from a fellow Canadian! Hope to see your customs!
Thank you prateek, it's great to finally talk to some of my favourite members! I have a small MOC to photograph and a WIP custom minifig!

Welcome from out here on the Left Coast!
Thanks tedbeard. I like the background in your avatar picture!

Welcome aboard.
Thanks dr_spock! I feel like a little kid on his birthday, getting a reply from one of my favourite "Lego Nut"s!

Music and Lego are my two main hobbies! I play piano and bassoon.

Hi! I'm from Canada. I've been lurking on here for some time and I decided I might as well make an account. When I was younger my favourite theme was Bionicle *shudder* but now I don't like those action-figure-things. Oh well, maybe all those pieces will be good for robots. Now I'm into City, Batman, and MINIFIGS! I can't wait to start customizing them, just need to get better at decals. I'm amazed at the awesome MOCs on here and I hope someday I'll be able to do that too. My favourite LEGO colour (and one of my favourite colours in general) is purple (hence the purple in my name). Outside of Lego, I love music and my favourite show is the big bang theory. I've got some ideas to incorporate music into MOCs someday, we'll see. See you around!

Thanks for the advice, however the only thing I could do was change the wheels. I could not find a way to make the connectors work sideways because the cart is much wider than the horse. Hope you like the wheels though!
