Keep in mind, he posted this find 5 months ago. Not to mention, pieces like that would sell out in a heartbeat!

Legends of Chima 2013
purpleparadox replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Darn, just2good, ya beat me to it! Anyway, I'm curious too to see how LEGO pulls of the ripcord idea. -
I don't know whether or not I'm in a minority with this - but I want to see Coulson revived somehow (yeah, it'd probably be magic). But the icing on the "S.H.I.E.L.D. Show Cake" would definitely be an appearance from Spidey.

Creating your own Birthday thread?...Well, whatever floats your boat! Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear 88highhhhhhhhh, Happy Birthday to you!

Beautiful. You've just taken the step from MOC to art. The plant-life is stunning...thanks for opening my eyes to the possibilities granted by the Friends theme!

If the rumours that are circulating right now - that TMNT will be a one-wave theme - are true, then that'll be perfect for me. Enough to get all the TMNT characters I could need, but short enough that I won't spend too much money.

Non-Pirate Mini-Figures Useful for Pirate MOCing?
purpleparadox replied to Athos's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'm gonna suggest posting in the "Collectible Minifigures Series 8 Rumours and Discussion" topic...you could make a request. Something along the lines of "Would anyone who owns both the Actor and the Pirate Captain be willing to post a picture of the Pirate wearing the Actor's ruff?" -
Is it alowed to talk about Mega Bloks over here?
purpleparadox replied to Bobskink's topic in Forum Information and Help
I can understand not liking Mega Bloks (I don't like them either)...but doesn't throwing them away seem a bit extreme and wasteful? I mean, there's children who get no building blocks; no LEGO, no Mega Bloks, nothing. Couldn't you give them to kids like that? Or donate them to charity? Or at the very least, sell them? EDIT: Or you could do something like Siercon and Coral did here. -
Wouldn't a "Like" button improve the forum

I know, I was just giving examples of websites where those options have started going downhill. -
Wouldn't a "Like" button improve the forum
purpleparadox replied to Vindicare's topic in Forum Information and Help
I don't know...one of the reasons I prefer Eurobricks over YouTube/Reddit/Twitter/Facebook is that, on Eurobricks, there's no way to earn "Likes", "Subscribers", "Follower", "Upvotes", "Karma", etc. I think if Eurobricks had a "Like Button" it would slowly (or quickly) become just like those other sites - where people will do anything for "Likes". If we had to have some option like that, I guess I'd prefer only likes and no dislikes. But I'm against the idea of any of that at all. -
At first I was surprised to see a MOC in "LEGO General"...but now I understand why it's here! Very interesting technique/idea.
-
Woah...this is a really cool little MOC you've built here! I love the base (very creative) and the ground.
-
Lookin' pretty cool so far - you nailed the old-ruins-in-undergrowth feel.
-
We-eeeeellll...the Elrond figure is pretty similar in terms of promotion-type to the Lex Luthor polybag. So, I'd say look up the price that it's going for right now - it should be pretty similar.

Where do Rare/HTF Parts come from?
purpleparadox replied to Turaga of Force's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Amen to that, my friend! I own a wavy/curved-ish Canadian flag piece that "LEGO Historian" informs me is worth $70-90! The problem - it was chewed by a dog at some point in my childhood. :cry3: -
Dark Knight Rises - Custom Minifigs
purpleparadox replied to DarkKnight7's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Man...I sure wish my dad had made a custom figure of me when I was small! It looks great - I'm sure she loves it. This version is a hundred times better. If you print it, I'd buy one with the sparkle. If you choose to go without the sparkle, I'll probably pass on the fig. Absolutely post it here! I'd love to take a look. -
Lego Polar Xxpress 2013
purpleparadox replied to legomilk's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Huh? Are they both new themes? I'm guessing that "Polar Xxpress" was either just a preliminary name, or a "code name" for the theme. -
I'd say you've earned your "Staff Bragging Rights". Awesome MOC! The alien ship design is brilliant, likewise for the figure design and posing.

I kinda want to start reading/following this comic...but it seems like such a massive undertaking!

What's the least important aspect of you of Lego?
purpleparadox replied to BrickG's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think most AFOLs will agree that some of the least important aspects to them are flick-fires, trapdoors, etc. Personally, things like boxes are slightly less important to me than play features. I mean, some of those features are pretty cool! -
LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
purpleparadox replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
I doubt it'll be $25...that's the price here in Canada! -
Single Pane LEGO Licensed Theme Funnies
purpleparadox replied to Gregorovich's topic in LEGO Licensed
I've gotta agree with everybody - these are great! Which scene? I've seen the movie, but the funny doesn't ring any bells for me. -
Samsonite (USA/Canada) LEGO discussion
purpleparadox replied to Still Raindrop's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Unfortunately I don't have any info to share...but just wait til "LEGO Historian" drops in. He'll know this for sure. -
Dark Knight Rises - Custom Minifigs
purpleparadox replied to DarkKnight7's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Out of curiosity, did you ever succeed in making your daughter a LEGO fig of herself? I agree...I think it's the lack of white dots (pupils) in his eyes. Without them, it doesn't really fit. Anyway, great work! I've been keeping an eagle-eye on this topic so I don't miss any of your awesome minifigs.
