Hayabusa, the second LEGO® CUUSOO release
purpleparadox replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Cool! Just wondering, would it fit in with minifigs well, or is it completely out of scale? There's a minifig on the box, so I don't know... -
LEGO Through time - a Lego stop-motion animation

I just watched the whole video, and I love it. Again, I have to say how smooth the transitions are. Also, everything is done so creatively. Great job! -
I see. Well, maybe someday you can change it. Do you ever order off of Bricklink? (I'm not telling you to, because I hardly do. Just wondering)
-
Very accurate to the "real" version. If I could suggest one thing, it would be to change the blue pieces to dark blue. Other than that, I absolutely love it!

TUTORIAL: Remove print from decorated elements
purpleparadox replied to Hinckley's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Well everybody, guess what? I'm no longer a purist! This works! I tried it and it didn't take TOO too long, about 5-10 minutes. I also tried this and it didn't work. However, I wasn't trying on a head. I was taking the printing off a torso. Oh well, the eraser works so I'll use that! -
LEGO Through time - a Lego stop-motion animation

I've only watched the beginning of the video (my Internet is ridiculously slow) but from what I've seen the transitions are really smooth. I'll comment more when I see the whole video. -
TUTORIAL: Remove print from decorated elements

Yes, I'd be interested to see how you achieved that with toothpaste. Tutorial please! -
I would have bought at least 40 of those figs!!! It would've only costed twenty dollars! Or I would buy literally all of the figs and sell enough on Bricklink to make a profit.
-
Oh. I'm not that familiar with the Atlantis theme.
-
Both are great sets, but at the end of the day, I'd definitely buy 6864 The Batmobile and Two-Face Chase. Usually licensed sets are much more expensive, but with that sale you get more pieces and better figs for the same price as the other set. Batman all the way!

Wow! Great MOC! Is that a custom Orc laying face-up on the ground in the last picture? I don't recognize that face.
-
What is the name of the set in the third picture down? I'd like to have the dish that's holding the dog bone in that colour. EDIT: ARGHH!! How come the font size feature isn't working?!?!? EDIT: Never mind, I figured the font size out.

Sorry for the double post but as the nature of this post is to give an update I thought it would be all right. Someone let me know if I'm wrong about that. I tried a few various ideas people gave me, and so far the one that seems best is the one that Oky suggested. It seems like an alright way to go. I think I'll do that but I'm still completely open to suggestions!

Hi everybody! I'm not sure if General Discussion is the right place to post this, but it is a question about a building technique so here goes. I'm working on a MOC. In the scene there will be a minifig eating breakfast at a table. I would really like him to be eating a bowl of cereal. (Minfig scaled bowl of cereal) Is this possible? I'm hoping it's been done in a MOC before and someone can show me how. If not, do you guys have any ideas that could work? Thanks!
-
It IS a good idea...I'm just not sure that a tire would look like a bowl.
-
I'll think about that, it's a good idea. Interesting... If I go with that I'll have to get a bowler hat.
-
That's a good idea too. I have 3 of the different pieces people suggested. I'm going to try and test them before school. If I don't have time I'll try them out after.
-
Yeah, that's a good idea (even if it's a bit like a saucer). I have that piece somewhere, I'll go look for it tomorrow.
-
Thanks, I'll have to get one of those. Thanks, it's a bit...rectangular, but it's probably the best option so far (depending on how that upside down dome looks).
-
Thanks. That piece is a good idea, but the chrome makes it look a bit like a dog food dish. I'll also think about an upside down 2x2 dome, we'll see. Maybe somebody has more ideas to add? On a similar note, any ideas for a spoon?

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion

Thanks. I was kinda hesitant about spending that much on a single minifig. I'll wait and see what next year brings and hope there's a Nightwing! -
LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
purpleparadox replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm sorry if this was discussed earlier in this topic, but is there any rumours about a new Nightwing minifig in a new set? I was considering buying one online (and changing his hair) but I'm not going to do that if a new one's coming out. -
I can't say that I have any DREAM licenses anymore, since Batman is revived in the Superheroes license. No, I don't have any dream licenses, but I have an idea that could be neat. Music is my thing, I'm not a sports buff at all, (don't play them well, don't watch them) but The Olympics would make a good theme. It could be really cool with some of the minifigs they'd have to design.
