LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
purpleparadox replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
In my opinion, any character in minifig form is good enough for Lego. To each his own! -
For me it's just "You really need ANOTHER minifig?" Because I have bad luck finding the ones I want.

Hi! I'm from Canada. I've been lurking on here for some time and I decided I might as well make an account. When I was younger my favourite theme was Bionicle *shudder* but now I don't like those action-figure-things. Oh well, maybe all those pieces will be good for robots. Now I'm into City, Batman, and MINIFIGS! I can't wait to start customizing them, just need to get better at decals. I'm amazed at the awesome MOCs on here and I hope someday I'll be able to do that too. My favourite LEGO colour (and one of my favourite colours in general) is purple (hence the purple in my name). Outside of Lego, I love music and my favourite show is the big bang theory. I've got some ideas to incorporate music into MOCs someday, we'll see. See you around!

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
purpleparadox replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
The Joker is actually one of the few minifigs that I like the cheekbones on! I think without them he looks almost TOO young...more like an ordinary clown than an insane, homicidal, criminal clown! -
Chapters/Indigo/Coles (Coles is another branch of that company) is my main source of Collectible Minifigures. It's the only place in my area that can constantly be counted on to have them in stock. Zellers never does, Wal-Mart is inconsistent, and there's no TRU's within a two hour drive of me.

Well, by the end of the Superheroes and LOTR themes, even I don't want to know how much I'll have spent!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 7 poll
purpleparadox replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It took me less than 5 seconds to decide MY favourite. The Scottish Bagpiper all the way! I am a HUGE music lover and I love all the instrument pieces LEGO made. I NEED to get those bagpipes! (If the Scottish Bagpiper wasn't there, it would be the female rockstar and then the teacher.) -
Funny, I was wondering about that earlier this evening. How about music from the Batman movies?
-
I would have to recommend picnik. That's what I use. (Unfortunately it's shutting down in a couple of months) but you can use it until then!

NIGHTWING NIGHTWING NIGHTWING!!! Well, a guy can dream, can't he? -
Well, you ARE a "wife moderated LEGO nut"
-
Someone will be in the doghouse! Sneaky, sneaky. I'm glad I'm not the only one! You haven't been discovered yet? Another question, what's your opinion on the ethics of buying Lego in secret?
-
I'm sure we all spend too much on Lego! Oh well, let's hope YOU do the banking instead of your wife!

Feedback on Lego price comparison website
purpleparadox replied to ljames28's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I would definitely use this site if you had a version for Canada. -
Very nice! If TLG doesn't make their own version of this with the new Marvel sets (or if their version isn't this great) I'll have to be using this!

Knights of The Yellow Castle
purpleparadox replied to ED-209's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
All I can say about these decals is wow! They're done very well! I never owned the Yellow Castle set though, I guess I was too young. -
The past two days have been awesome for me! Yesterday I bought 6858 Catwoman Catcyle City Chase and Catwoman is now my new favourite official LEGO minifig! Today I picked up two Series 6 CMF packets. I got the Bandit and Lady Liberty.
-
Nice, but doesn't this belong in the Minifig Customization Workshop?

Really? Where are the three? And where will the fourth one be? -
I wonder if reading this topic influenced my dreams, because yesterday I read it and last night I dreamt of LEGO! I had a dream of a re-release of an Arkham Asylum set. The buildings were more menacing and the minifigs were definitely darker and scarier. I remember looking at a display of the set and the lady displaying it gave me a Riddler fig, free of charge! Unfortunately, I woke up, and no Riddler fig. Oh well, I DO have a Catwoman set to go build!

Apologies for this question, but I'm a bit confused. Is this supposed to used as a waterside decal? If so, I like it! Maybe another version would be nice though. A version with a minifig version of the president!
-
Nice update! The shape of the vehicle is more realistic now, and I like the handlebars. Can't wait for Version 3.0 with DK Blue! (Assuming there will be one)

Criteria for opening a LEGO store

And even in the four countries other than the US, there's hardly any LEGO stores! TWO in Canada!! Sixty-four in the US and Canada gets two?
