"I wondered whatever happened to the caped crusader"
purpleparadox replied to purpleparadox's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'd like to. We'll see how much time and how many bricks I have. Any suggestions? -
Eurobricks Collectable LEGO Minifigures Series 6 Building Contest
purpleparadox replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
What if they are official TLG stickers, but you don't have them so you print a scan of them on sticker paper? Is that allowed? -
I've noticed the same thing in lots of topics. It's too bad they're not updated in real time, but at least the confusion is solved!

Help finding Dark Knight Joker decals?
purpleparadox replied to purpleparadox's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
That would be AWESOME, because those are pretty close. Those decals are my backup plan, but does anybody else have anything to add to the conversation? Other decals, or the Vidgamer838 ones? If so, I'd be glad to hear it! EDIT: Corrected some spelling. -
Help finding Dark Knight Joker decals?
purpleparadox posted a topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
So, I need help finding some decals. I've been working on a couple of different customs, and I usually prefer to either not use decals, or make my own. However, in the case of the Joker from The Dark Knight, it seemed really difficult to make. So I began to look around. I saw all the decals in our EB index, and they didn't seem that great. One set of decals was alright, but it still wasn't exactly what I wanted, so I kept looking. On MOCpages, I came across this custom by Sir Nadroj. It's exactly what I was looking for! I love those decals! He mentions that they're by Vidgamer838. The problem is, I can't find them anywhere. I tried contacting Sir Nadroj but no luck. Can anyone with more internet searching skills help me find them? I'd really appreciate a link to the decals, or some way I can contact Vidgamer838? Thanks! -
Iron Man. He's my favourite Avenger, and Marvel minifig, and I love the helmet. Thank goodness it hinges up, instead of just being one solid piece. Ideas for Tony Stark hair, anyone?

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
purpleparadox replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Well, I just watched the finale of Season 4 and I'm fairly impressed, although some things definitely could have been done better. Darth Maul was quite strange, but I wouldn't go quite as far as to say "ruined". He was pushed to the brink of insanity! Although, at first he was portrayed as a weakling, nursing himself to health in hiding, and Maul is one character that should never be a weakling, even if he's insane. I loved the fight scene. Especially when Obi-Wan didn't have his normal lightsaber and had to use Ventress's. That was so cool, a fight with all red lightsabers. I can't wait for Season 5! -
I don't have nearly as many pieces as lots of you, so I'm working on a really basic sorting system. Everything is sorted by colour (not part type). I'll mix together colours if I don't have a lot of them, for example, pink and light blue.

How much did you spend on Lego in 2011?
purpleparadox replied to Legacy Man's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I only started using Lego again at the end of 2011. My total was only $85. I've already almost spent more than that in 2012! -
Warner Brothers planning CGI/live action LEGO film

I don't know if anybody's said this yet, but I just made an exciting find! The movie plot's been revealed! Article -
Old style stylized creatures and animals versus newer versions
purpleparadox replied to Calabar's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It depends on which animal, but I almost always prefer the new version. I remember being so excited about my first printed owl! It was awesome! Old versions are best used as sculptures, etc. Because they don't have enough details (IMO) to be realistic animals. -
For Star Wars, I'd recommend 9491 Geonosian Cannon. That Commander Gree fig is one of the best clones made so far. (IMO) However, I'd suggest getting an Avengers set instead. At the price range you stated, I'd buy 6867 Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape (gotta love the Iron Man fig) or 6865 Captain America's Avenging Cycle. I love his shield, I really like the minifig, maybe MORE so than Iron Man, and ooh! A dark red motorcycle!

Most wanted bricks for next LDD update
purpleparadox replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I did search the part number... Perhaps I'm remembering a different hairpiece? Oh well, at least I've got that piece. -

purpleparadox replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Correct me if I'm wrong about this, but I'm pretty sure this hairpiece isn't on LDD. -
Wow, this is a difficult question to answer. I don't know my favourite of ALL TIME, I need to think about that. But so far my favourites of 2012 are 6858 Catwoman Catcycle City Chase and 6862 Superman Vs Power Armour Lex. I really like the printed newspaper tiles that come with the Catwoman set, and I LOVE all the minifigs in both sets.

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
purpleparadox replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
Funny you should bring that up! My little brother (fairly knowledgeable about comics, but more DC than Marvel) and I were looking at the new Marvel sets on S@H, and he said "I thought Hawkeye was a good guy." I have to say, they do kinda make him out as a bad guy. -
Today I bought 9489 Endor Rebel Trooper and Imperial Trooper Battle Pack. Woah, thats quite the mouthful to say! I've been spending more on Lego than usual lately (but I think lots of people spend more...) I just spent about $56 in the past two weeks. Does anybody want to share about how much they spend in two weeks? To make me feel better? (Or worse, I suppose)

Someday, far in the future when I get married, it will be to a woman who has the Lego hobby. Even if I have to convert her to a Lego-lover! (Though I'd prefer if she were already into it.)

Yes, when I was listing animals that could be "evil", mice seemed gross-ish but "evil" was too strong of a word for mice, I think.

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
purpleparadox replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
Other superheroes should be exciting. I'm looking forward to Green Lantern. Another Superman set would be cool, too. But ultimately, I hope they release more Batman sets, because we NEED a few more characters. *cough*Comissioner Gordon*cough*Nightwing*cough* -
I think that the lack of animals is because TLG believes most of their consumers don't want animals. They think that people only want huge vehicles, evil skeletons, and flick-fire missiles. That also explains why most of the animals are snakes, rats, scorpions, and mice. They could be seen as "evil" in the adventures of little kids. Personally, I would be thrilled to see more animals, in a zoo theme. (Right after they make a new Nightwing fig. I still like some action, too. )

Eurobricks Collectable LEGO Minifigures Series 6 Building Contest

That definitely helps! Especially the advice on the height of the walls, I had no idea how tall to make it. I like the idea of the office, I'll see if I have the necessary parts to make it. -

TDKR sets? That'd be pretty cool. It'd make for some awesome Nolan-esque minifigs! It might be a cheap way to get Bane, who knows? I'd be happy with TDKR sets as long as it doesn't ruin our chances of getting a new Nightwing fig! -

SilvaShado, I took your advice to update my entry. I also got rid of the motorcycle. (It made it too cluttered). I'm still going to update it again with a clearer pic, though! -

He'd better have alternate face printing! Otherwise I'm using a Jack Sparrow face for Tony Stark, because I'm not happy with just an angry face!
