What's the least important aspect of you of Lego?
purpleparadox replied to BrickG's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Despite the fact that I personally prefer fleshies, I do see your reasoning. However, I'd say there is a yellow equivalent of Legolas's hair/ear-piece - the CMF Elf! -
Nice work! How many pieces are in it? Maybe it'd be okay because it's from a licensed property? That seemed to work for the Indiana Jones theme.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
purpleparadox replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I agree, that's really great of CM4S. I'm horrible at packet-feeling - I wish someone would help me! -
......Nope, I know nothing about Star Trek either. Anyway, Happy Birthday Bob!
-
Well, I'd say you almost decided your own question! I'd definitely go for Mines of Moria. While the set itself is a little bit lacking, it has so many iconic and beautiful minifigs!
-
My friend, you and your mother are wizards at LEGO! I especially like the candy in the bowl - those licorice squares look mouth-wateringly real!

I don't know if it's been posted yet, but this guy would make an awesome purist Clayface:

Lego Haunted House with a twist
purpleparadox replied to steelwoolghandi's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
It is a great model, I really love the chimney. The thing I don't like is the use of white AND black for the pillars. It makes the house hurt my eyes to look at all those changing colours! But really, you did some awesome work. -
LDD Bike Rider Template
purpleparadox replied to Nachapon Lego's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
These are great! Darth Vader obviously steals the show, with his pink bicycle. EDIT: Congrats on the front page! -
Thanks for the pics! Thorin looks perfectly in-tune with his movie counterpart. And that map is definitely must-have!
-
Man...you'd be the best professor ever!
-
Beautiful, just beautiful. It looks so realistic!
-
Finished! Always glad to submit my positive opinion of Eurobricks.

In your first picture, there's a rather large figure of Samwise Gamgee in the window...this is a long shot, but do you think it's possible to buy those anywhere?
-
Normal minifigs? Sweet! Completely agree.

2013 Friends Sets - Rumours and Discussion
purpleparadox replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Town
Interesting! I didn't know we were getting one. I wonder if it'll hold up to the high standards set by the previous LEGO games and the Friends sets. -
I totally agree. Four iconic characters, a fun build, great design. All for about $20!
-
Exactly! And the kids won't care about the difference between the licensed skin tone (flesh ) and the non-licensed skin tone (yellow). To them, a bunch of cowboys is a bunch of cowboys!
-
Well, that's one way of looking at it.

When did comic books start to get aimed at adults?
purpleparadox replied to lotryay's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I like physical copies better too...but I tend to go for digital more often. When I buy comics digitally it's so much easier to find them and so much cheaper, too. -
Yup, that was definitely a poor decision. Regardless of theme, I'll take any free LEGO! Even if I don't collect that specific theme - who knows? It'll probably come in handy someday.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
purpleparadox replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I hope so! That'd be a dream set for me...Spidey's my favourite superhero and I'd get Nick Fury cheap. -
The VIP Program is not about "programming"...it's a deal you can sign up for. When you buy directly from LEGO, they give you VIP Points - in-store credit!

Where do Rare/HTF Parts come from?
purpleparadox replied to Turaga of Force's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Those bricks are...beautiful! I would be absolutely thrilled to own of them. -
Legends of Chima 2013
purpleparadox replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I hope so! I never got Killer Croc during the original Batman line and I'd love a chance to easily make one.
