Complete LEGO Minifigs Color Swatch v.2
purpleparadox replied to CombatBrick's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Very artistic and eye-pleasing. I'd love to have that collection in a frame, hanging in my living room. -
MOC: Shop Display for DIY Disasters
purpleparadox replied to TimBurdon's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Awesome MOC! I can't decide what my favourite part is - the cupboard, the water, the "don't risk it" sign, the plumber, or the look on his face. And it promotes safe choices, too! You ought to build more MOCs in this style. -
SoF: Mia's Friendly Flick-Fire Missile Carrier
purpleparadox replied to dr_spock's topic in LEGO Town
...look at all those flick-fires! Missiles, evil scientists, cat-butchers - I guess Heartlake isn't as friendly as we all previously thought. Best of luck in the contest! -
The room is awesome - very sorcerer-esque. But I love the custom figs. The belt and robe on the fortune teller is fantastic. Good luck!

Base plate problem
purpleparadox replied to Munkeywrench3081's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Wouldn't the vehicle be left floating above the baseplate if you did that? -
SoF - Eurobricks Interview With The Friends Designers!
purpleparadox replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Town
Oh, I know. I prefer to use minifigs but I'm OK with using minidolls if it's more appropraite for the situation. I guess I'd just rather have Friends minifigs, to boost my female fig collection. It is great that we can use variety...LEGO "cultural diversity", if you will. My young sister loves Polly Pockets, Barbies, minidolls, and the like, so I often "play LEGO Friends" with her. I don't think anything can make me happier right now than seeing her grow, learn, play, and create. I'm thankful to Friends for encouraging that! I hope you didn't get the wrong idea about me or my opinion, based on my former post. I love the theme, and all of it's benefits! Friends on, everybody. -
SoF - Eurobricks Interview With The Friends Designers!
purpleparadox replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Town
Very interesting. I like the models, variety of colours, and concept, of the Friends theme. I just really wish they'd gone with minifigs instead of minidolls! Then again, as a male AFOL I don't think my opinion matters much to TLG in this case. -
Awesome! I'm loving the rock face, the cave, and the foliage, but my favourite part is the water! It's a great new technique that I've never seen before. Maybe after a quick PaB/Bricklink order, I'll test out some water-building myself! Thanks for the inspiration.

You guys just raised the bar for creativity, coolness factor (or should I say "hot" factor ), and overall insanity all in one! It looks a thousand times better melted. Thanks, this was a really interesting idea! EDIT: By the way, how'd you burn it? Did the Megablocks just catch fire by themselves, or did you have to coat 'em with gasoline or something?

I think the reason these themes you listed are Duplo-only is because they mostly appeal to young kids, kids too young for System. Still, I suppose those themes could bring interesting new molds!

Wow! You're fantastic at photography. Are those troops covered in sand, snow, or what?

You definitely succeeded! I love the engines , and the transition from the cockpit to the nose looks great. EDIT: Also, the cargo storage space is brilliant!

MOC: Olympics London 2012 - 100m race final
purpleparadox replied to Teazza's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Great build! The lane lines, numbers, and finish line, are awesome. I want to do some Olympic MOCs...but I think I'll save 'em for the next Winter Olympics. -
Very cool! It does look like a UFO crash-landed, and it's made all the better by the realistic landscaping! Great work on that, and your futuristic UFO is a nice contrast to the ground.

Yeah, I saw a similar article last evening! It's exciting news, isn't it? I personally, can't wait!

Empire revolutionary research in transportation
purpleparadox replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Those so-called "teddy bears" were one of my favourite parts of RotJ as a kid! Go Ewoks go!! By the way, Star Wars probably wouldn't exist without Lucas. -
What an interesting, creepy-crawly, entry! It's sure not your everyday Friends MOC! Now all it needs is a Friendsified Spider-Man (Spider-Friend?).
-
They are? In...August?!
-
Fantastic entry! It's built very creatively, cleanly, and Friends-ly. The bath looks brilliant. I'd love to dive right in there! Best of luck!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion
purpleparadox replied to LEGOman273's topic in Culture & Multimedia
And I'm calling this now, the pit droid will defeat General Grievous by accident. EDIT: I really do think that might happen. -
That is one fantastic custom right there! He looks totally cool (and tough). Do you mind if I borrow the mask and helmet design? It's brilliant.
-
They're fantastic guns! Perfect for Star Wars. I think my brother'll have to order some for his Clone Trooper army (or maybe I'll get them for him for Christmas)...and while he's at it, I'm sure he'll want some Arealight helmets too.
-
It looks awesome, and it's only half done?! I wish I owned this...the official set just can't compare.

Single Pane LEGO Licensed Theme Funnies
purpleparadox replied to Gregorovich's topic in LEGO Licensed
I honestly don't know how you come up with hilarious funnies, time after time after time. But you sure do, because these are hilarious once again! My favourite is "The 4th Wall Breaking Spider-Man", because I was reading some examples of Deadpool and Spidey "breaking the fourth wall" just yesterday!
