dwarf steampunk interceptor MOC
Toa_Of_Justice replied to Pate-keetongu's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Very nice! I like how the boat in your MOC gives it a great Steampunk style while keeping it sleek! I'm curious about the small tab-like thing in this pic that seems to be sticking out from the barrel -- could you please tell me what it is? -Toa Of Justice -
So, I see you actually have [minifig-scale] firewood in your fire, and it really works as kindling, too! I'd rather you stick with the toothpick because even though it's non-LEGO, it really works like firewood! As for light-up bricks being used in LEGO fireplaces, I do remember something fairly close to that...in this set, there's light-up "fire" underneath the barbecue grill. Normally, the clear 2x4 light brick is an EXO-FORCE-exclusive part. Where did you manage to find yours separately? -Toa Of Justice

I think I finally found the stick you spoke of. At first I thought I was seeing a gap between two slopes stacked over each other. Is that stick a LEGO piece? To me, it looks like a lightsaber blade wedged into the gap between the depressed button and the inner plastic wall of the light brick. However, I tried to do that myself, and I couldn't get it work for me. I later managed to wedge the tool end of a minifig screwdriver into that gap and achieve your effect. Could you please take a pic of the light brick with the stick outside your MOC so I can see exactly how you did it? -Toa Of Justice

Very nice work! Is that an EXO-FORCE light brick in the fireplace? How did you get it to stay lit up? -Toa Of Justice

I like it a lot! My only suggestions would be to replace the blue pin on the front of the gun with a gray one (if possible), make all the translucent 1x1 round plates and cones one color, and give the pilot some control sticks (again, if possible). Would you please post a link to the LDD file of this model? -Toa Of Justice

LDD Brick Palette finally updated for Star Justice
Toa_Of_Justice replied to xenologer's topic in General LEGO Discussion
You're welcome, and here's another tip: When you revert to the old palette, the unavailable bricks will have have a white background rather than a green one. Hopefully that will help to detect problematic bricks. -Toa Of Justice -
LDD Brick Palette finally updated for Star Justice
Toa_Of_Justice replied to xenologer's topic in General LEGO Discussion
If you click the box icon in the brick palette, you'll see an option entitled "Old Factory." Click it to revert to the previous brick palette. (By the way, you can also click the circular arrow icon to allow all bricks in the palette, including the 2007 Creator sets, the MINDSTORMS NXT set, and for the first time in LDD, the 8272 Snowmobile! ) As for the stickers, you could try using only one stickered part in the model you wish to order, then you can build a second model with all the stickered parts you want to refer to when you put on the stickers. -Toa Of Justice -

I don't think I've seen that before. *oh3* It looks like the ultimate opponent to the Harry S. Truman. -Toa Of Justice

Awesome!!! :-D I hope a LDD update isn't too far off from this...I could really use some of those crash helmets for my virtual creations...it's about time they put some in. And there's a checkered flag...Formula 1 on! X-D *y* There's also classic mudguards and...CAR DOORS! There's so many new parts in almost every category, I can't list them all! I just wish LDD would update soon with all these goodies! *sing* -Toa Of Justice

I went around the problem by putting my avatar and signature image on Brickshelf. However, the avatar URL field cut off the part of my avatar URL, so I ended up having to upload the image from my computer. My sig is all right though. -Toa Of Justice

Thank you so much for the LDD file, xenologer! X-D I had lots of fun playing with all the cool features of your MOC in LDD -- it's almost like playing with the real thing! The price is also very reasonable for me -- I might try ordering it sometime! -Toa Of Justice

Fifties Modelteamsized truck
Toa_Of_Justice replied to simonwillems's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
If you're going to use rubber bands, I reccommend this type, as I heard that the other type tends to crumble after a while. You're welcome. -Toa Of Justice -
Fifties Modelteamsized truck
Toa_Of_Justice replied to simonwillems's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Ouch! How did that happen? What kind of gear got ripped apart? May I suggest using a clutch gear somewhere in your model to prevent that from happening again? As for the MOC itself, I like how you hid the battery box in the back of the truck -- very clever! X-D I also like how you used oldschool car roof hinges to make the fenders rounded. *y* Overall, great job! -Toa Of Justice -
Awesome! Could you please provide a link to the LDD file so I can see your cool MOC in 3-D? X-D -Toa Of Justice

My favorite part is the wing details. X-D Great job! *y* -Toa Of Justice

I will join Brickmaster in having a different opinion of this set. X-D This is my favorite Impulse set so far. The Alien Jet looks like it has tons of working features for such a small set, including an opening cockpit and moveable (and possibly folding) guns. I just wish it was available in the U.S. :'-( -Toa Of Justice

[REVIEW] 8829 - Dune Blaster
Toa_Of_Justice replied to BerndDasBrot's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Wow! 8- Thanks for that cool link, Blakbird! X-D I agree that 8829's body is better. I especially like 8829's rear spoiler and its angled side beams. :-) -Toa Of Justice -

That looks like a very nice set! :-) In your opinion, how does it compare to the current Dune Buggy? -Toa Of Justice -
I believe the trans-orange claws came from Roodaka. -Toa Of Justice

You're welcome. *sweet* I think that they may have been watching us...they wanted to see what we could come up with from a parts list before they released the instructions. :-P Who knows, maybe they even made their instructions based off our MOCs. :-P Conspiracy Theories On. :-P -Toa Of Justice -
Actually, the tyres are also in Pick A Brick, under the "Wheels" section. The name of the tyre is "Tyre

I think my first set could have either been 1560 Glory Glider or 6261 Raft Raiders. My Glory Glider is currently intact (believe it or not :-P ), but Raft Raiders, my only Pirates set so far, is currently disassembled, and I believe I've lost the sail along with one of the swords and possibly one of the guns. :-( Glory Glider: *** out of ***** Raft Raiders: **** out of ***** -Toa Of Justice

It was rather simple matter for me to find the instructions. :-) I just went here, entered the set number, clicked on the result, and then I clicked on the download link. -Toa Of Justice
