    Racers 2010

Thanks for that, captainsamus! Despite that name, I still like the set. I hope I can get to a Toys 'R' Us soon... -Toa Of Justice

    Racers 2010

captainsamus, did you happen to notice if any of the standalone Tiny Turbos had names on them? I know which ones are Turbo Tow (8195, the red Hummer-like tow truck), Blue Bullet (8193, the light blue and orange racer), and Nitro Muscle (8194, the dark blue/purple car). However, I still don't know the name of the lime green truck (8192). -Toa of Justice

    Racers 2010

Darn! I was hoping for mini motorcycles in Chopper Jump, not a helicopter! That name is very misleading! However, I really like Ramp Crash and the standalone Tiny Turbos! I also think Strong (the yellow truck) is awesome! -Toa Of Justice

UCS Millenium Falcon is being discontinued!

I got that e-mail from LEGO Shop at Home too! I suppose the LEGO Company can't afford to produce that model anymore, given its extremely large piece count. I wonder if the Taj Mahal (with even more pieces) will suffer the same fate as the Falcon. Good thing I already have my Falcon! -Toa Of Justice

    New LEGO Racers Video Game?

There is yet another Racers game online at racers.lego.com: LEGO Racers: The Robot Chronicles. From the LEGO Racers News Section: From the LEGO Message Board: Personally, it is very difficult to tell whether this qualifies as a true Racers game...it is more like a mash-up of City, Racers, and Agents. It could easily belong to any of those themes...but since I found this at the Racers site I thought it would be best to post about it here. Enjoy! -Toa Of Justice EDIT: The "field" inside the game is located in the lower right corner of any vehicle selection screen. Entering "micro" in that field activates a shrink ray weapon.

    New LEGO Racers Video Game?

I think it's a bit more than that. You can win points in each race to upgrade your car with parts to overcome various challenges. You can also set your strategy in each zone (how much you will risk at the end, what color light you start on [red, yellow or green], and whether you want to accept challenges from other players). Personally, I was hoping for greater control of my car, but I can't complain too much since the game is free. -Toa Of Justice
  8. Ah, I see now. Thanks for that tip. If I ever get into making Power Functions vehicles, I will be sure to remember what you said. Even though it wouldn't be cheap, I still think people would buy it. -Toa Of Justice
  9. Wow, that is a great MOC! I can't believe that it wasn't included in the official instructions of 8262. That might have convinced me to buy 8262. Can the lights be turned on and off as you are driving it (or when you are not), or do the lights come on automatically when the vehicle moves? -Toa Of Justice

    New LEGO Racers Video Game?

It seems as if the news article was correct about the new video game being Flash on the PC. However, at least it is free, and it is very similar to the old Drome Racing Challenge of 2002. Check it out here. -Toa Of Justice

    REVIEW: 7198 Fighter Plane Attack

Actually, LEGO did produce a Red Baron set. Unfortunately, it wasn't in minifig scale. Back on topic: I gave 7198 an outstanding rating. The designs are awesome, and I really like the pop-off wings on the German airplane. Unfortunately, I don't like the price, but I'll be satisfied with just pictures of this amazing set. -Toa Of Justice

    REVIEW: 8962 Crystal King

This set reminds me of the awesome-yet-defunct EXO-FORCE line. I gave it a 4 because of all the action features and cool pieces. However, your built model seems to be missing a few pieces--I was concerned because of the "extra" crystal and Plate 1 x 1 with Clip Light - Type 2. I don't think LEGO would ever include pieces of that size and complexity as extras, especially in a set like this. From looking at the box, I have deduced that those pieces belong on the other side of the Crystal King's head. I also noticed two "extra" cheese slopes--usually LEGO only includes one extra per set (unless there are multiple colors of that piece or multiple bags which contain that piece in a set). I believe that one of those slopes should accompany the other two "extra" pieces next to the head. Other than the small possible building slip-up, I liked your review very much! Please excuse my eyes for small details, -Toa Of Justice

Personally, I'd like to see the return of Ninjas or some other Asian historical theme. -Toa Of Justice

    New LEGO Racers Video Game?

That sounds very interesting, SkyOtic! I think it would be cool if the the new game was like that. I remember that LEGO Stunt Rally has a similar concept, but you win track pieces rather than car pieces. However, you also win whole cars (from your opponents) in that game. -Toa Of Justice

    Power Miner Intro Movie secrets

Thanks for pointing this out, LuxorV! I wish the LEGO Company would have provided some more pictures of the sets on the wish list though. By the way, 8958 Granite Grinder is currently on my wish list. -Toa Of Justice

    Review - 7143 Jedi Starfighter

Much Larger Picture Please pardon the dust, it's been sitting around for quite a while and I can't find a dusting cloth. By the way, that background is a pair of small sorting trays propped up between the model and a larger sorting tray, all on a black table. I thought it looked very appropriate for a Star Wars model. I like it too! I think the LEGO Company should bring it back. -Toa Of Justice

    New LEGO Racers Video Game?

If I recall correctly, most Flash-based games on LEGO.com are free to play. If I do have to pay money for it, I would look for a review about the game before I play it, and I recommend that anyone else who wants to play it should do the same (unless the game turns out to be free of charge). -Toa Of Justice

    Review - 7143 Jedi Starfighter

Small cockpit aside, I think that this is a really cool set. However, the front landing strut on my set seems to collapse frequently, so I added some clear bricks in between the Jedi Starfighter itself and the strut's foot to keep it propped up. Also, what the heck is up with your R2 dome -- did you rebuild this set and grab the wrong part by mistake, is that what you got in the set, or did you modify that piece? I got a normal one in my set, and that's what's on it right now. -Toa Of Justice EDIT: According to Peeron.com, the price of this model is $20.00 USD.

    New LEGO Racers Video Game?

I wonder if because it's a Flash-based web game, will it be free to play (like the Drome Racing Challenge)? -Toa Of Justice

    About the "new" pirate map...

Here's a whole bunch of map pics, courtesy of Peeron.com! By the way, I like the new map, but I think the older ones look more appropriate for the Pirates line. -Toa Of Justice

Are you talking about the Drome Racing Challenge or the Drome Racers video game? Either way, I hope it'll be better than those games... Of course, I enjoyed both of them too. -Toa Of Justice

    LEGOisms

I recently thought of some entertaining sayings about LEGO products, which I have dubbed LEGOisms. These LEGOisms are mostly in the order in which I thought of them. LEGOism #1: Only the best is good enough -- everything else might as well be M#g@ Bl*ks.* LEGOism #2: You are what you build -- but please don't try to take yourself apart or let anyone else do so. LEGOism #3: "Legos" are bad for your health. However, LEGO bricks (or models, parts, etc.) are healthier for you than any vitamin out there (for best results, do not eat LEGO bricks, build with them instead). LEGOism #3a: "Legos" are bad for your health, but M#g@ Bl*ks are much worse. LEGOism #4: LEGO Racers are the fastest cars in the universe -- don't let anyone tell you otherwise. LEGOism #5: Bionicles don't fight very well. However, characters from the BIONICLE universe are among the best fighters in the world -- especially the Toa and Glatorian. LEGOism #6: Building silently with golden bricks is better than building noisily with silver bricks. LEGOism #7: One who seeks out the best LEGO models will find them, but only if one looks hard enough. LEGOism #8: If a LEGO enthusiast wants to show his or her true patriotism, he or she should build a Danish flag out of LEGO bricks. LEGOism #9: The heroes always win, especially if they have LEGO bricks on their side and they know how to use them well. LEGOism #10: If your life falls apart, put it back together with LEGO bricks -- it works every time. LEGOism #11: The way to achieve world peace (or should I say piece?) is to build colorful and creative bridges made from LEGO bricks spanning the oceans. LEGOism #11a: If LEGOism #11 doesn't work, try throwing M#g@ Bl*ks at terrorists and evil dictators to scare them away. LEGOism #11b: If throwing M#g@ Bl*ks at terrorists doesn't work either, shoot projectiles from LEGO Pirate cannons at them! LEGOism #12: Fire conquers almost all, but only LEGO bricks can conquer boredom. LEGOism #13: The third pig's house was actually made out of LEGO bricks, not bricks and mortar. LEGOism #13a: The only real bricks are LEGO bricks -- everything else claiming to be bricks are just imitations. LEGOism #14: Vote Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen for President in every election! (Apologies to Barack Obama) LEGOism #15: The way to a person's heart is through his or her LEGO collection. If the person doesn't have any LEGO bricks/models, buy some for him or her. LEGOism #15a: If that person doesn't like LEGO bricks, that person probably isn't worth your time. LEGOism #16: The most important (and most enjoyable) part of Disney World (in Florida) is the LEGO Store. LEGOism #17: It is often easier to build with LEGO bricks than it is to take them apart. With M#g@ Bl*ks, it's the other way around. LEGOism #18: Build your future with LEGO bricks. LEGOism #19: If your computer's firewall seems inadequate, make a wall out of LEGO bricks for it -- no malware will be able to pass through it, guaranteed! LEGOism #20: If you must have an addiction to something, let it be one to LEGO bricks and/or models rather than drugs and/or alcohol. LEGOism #20a: Unlike drugs and alcohol, you don't have to continuously spend money on LEGO bricks and models to enjoy them--that's what MOCs are for. NEW: LEGOism #21: The LEGO brick that the builders rejected shall become part of the greatest MOC of all time. NEW: LEGOism #22: Saying "M#g@ Bl*ks" in a LEGO-owned facility is akin to profanity, and will likely make the employees there angry at you. *Readers' Contributions* Readers' LEGOism #1: When life gives you megablocks, throw them at people who own expensive cars. -Contributed by Brickmaster If you want to, you can comment on mine and/or come up with your own! -Toa Of Justice * Mega Bloks
