    My Microspace Universe

I looked at this topic title and expected to see a huge diorama of micro suns and planetary systems surrounded by fleets of ships and huge battle scenes made with micro ships... :) However you have made a great start by assembling all these microship designs. I look forward to seeing your universe expand.

Very good modular and great use of the friends Minidolls. :)

Sale prices on sold out sets

From what I have seen these reduced prices are for sets that are still available in some Lego Brand stores, but not in all stores. So while you may not be able to order them from the Lego S@H site, they can be bought if you go to the right Lego store.

    MOD Modular Winter City

Very impressive lighting and interiors. The lively street scene is also very good. This is a Tradition that sounds very good for any small village. It might also work for well for small town neighbourhoods or streets.

holiday characters Expand the Winter Village Contest V

There are 5 that stand out for me, but I have reduced them to 3 that I think should be produced as Winter Village sets, or maybe as instructions for us to follow and recreate. My votes go to 8. stebai - This is more of an upmarket Village/Town or ski resort type building. 16. Leopold - This suits the Winter Village and goes back to the basics of what a village should have. 18. ShaydDeGrai - This suits the theme of Winter Holiday and Village. There are some interesting building techniques used in all three. ...... and an honourable mention goes to the Dance Hall and Sweet shop. Which are both very good builds and would both fit into a Winter Town but possibly not a Winter Village. The other entries are good in different ways, with many being extensions to what has already been produced, or fitting into a more Fantasy setting than the Winter Vllage theme. The modern sets are good MOC's but do not really fit with my idea of a Winter Village.

    CCCXII – Black Hollow Village

A very good rickety old village. Lovely details everywhere. The pigpen, barrel sty and rickety vine fence, with the chickens scratching around are very good ....
  11. Wow! I would buy a Creator or UCS Expert version of this train.

    The Big Bang Theory Discussion

I have to say I was a reluctant watcher of the Big Bang Theory due to the nerdy, geekiness. At first like some people here I also thought the writers were just making fun of the characters in a bullying way. But as I watched more episodes I began to find that this was not true. However it is a tightrope they walk for each episode and sometimes I find myself thinking that was too far or too much. I now believe that there should probably be one more season of TBBT before the show becomes too familiar, tired, overwritten etc. They should end on the top of their game and not drag it down in quality just because it is popular. I think this ties in with promotion for a Lego ideas set whcih makes the Lego set the ultimate collectible for fans of the show. The Little Birds is a great Ideas set, which ties in with the Lego Creator animals. The Market for this could be huge, if even one tenth of a percent of the birders and twitchers decide to buy a set. Okay so the Twitchers might not be interested, but some birders will be. I apologise to any birders/twitchers here if I have misunderstood your hobby. :)

My apologies Disco86, I see now that your White Tree is brick built. :) Like I said, nice MOC.

    MEC Category B: Fimbrethil's Return

A very well designed Entwife. It would be nice to think they returned to give Treebeard and the Ents a happy future in our world. Tolkien never explained what had happened to them. However I always imagined that the Entwives had been captured by Morgoth and twisted into the original Trolls, which is why Sauron had so many in his army.

Where in the World is LEGO City?

You kind of forgot this could also include North America. However there are plenty of Beaches, Light houses and Harbours so that excludes any landlocked countries. Leaving North America, Norway, Denmark and Russia . There are also Forest Rangers and wild bears which rules out Denmark? Leaving Norway, Russia and North America. There is also a space program. Which brings us to North America and possibly Russia.

    Retrograde Pennyslvania T1 Locomotive

That is a good looking Train. Maybe you should post it on the Lego Ideas site and maybe get Lego to produce it ?
  18. Good plankwork for the flooring . I love the rack of clothes hanging up. I'll have to borrow that for my MOC's. :)

MEC Category B: White Tree of Gondor

Nice MOC. :) If it was brick built I could add that White Tree to the Guide to Tree building. But as it is a computer generated image, the actual Tree might not be possible, due to the weight of the Lego.

A really good Hobbiton MOC. But not quite true to the book.

    LEGO LotR - general discussion

One set might not be possible for a Minas Tirith Ideas Set. However TLG could produce 3 modules that form a basic Minas Tirith. Real LOTR nuts and Lego collectors would buy multiple sets to create the Minas Tirith of their Dreams. The example to follow would be the Minecraft series. But maybe make the Minas Tirith Palace, the 1st set and price it at £50-60 or $70-80. Collectors would need 2 or 3 of these to build the Palace WhiteTree and Halls of the Dead Kings. Then the 2nd set would be Minas Tirith Gate House with at least 1 Battle Troll (just reprint the Mines of Moria Troll) and 2 Minas Tirith soldiers. Again priced at £50-60 or $70-80. Collectors would need 3-5 of these for the Main gate and gateways moving up the city. Then the 3rd set would be Minas Tirith Wall section, with 3 alternate designs like a creator set, with 1 Mordor Orc and a Minas Tirith soldier. £30-40 or $40-60. Collectors would buy as many of these as they need for their army and ultimate Minas Tirith build.

    2015 LEGO Trains?

I have to say that Mallard would be a spectacular next Expert Train. The Golden Eagle would also be good http://www.classictraintravel.com/history-of-golden-eagle-train/ Although an Orient Express would be neat, this http://www.appalachianhistory.net/2013/11/norfolk-southern-supports-restoration-historic-611-locomotive-sale-rothko-painting.html would also fill the bill.
