Very nice work.

I just took a quick look at your account. The Drowned Rat is active (I had warned the MRCA committee privately, so you were in no matter what anyway). You also have received your 10 db x2 for both builds submitted (boat and rum cart), as well as the 25 db for your intro. So a good start! The only thing I can't see is the deduction for licensing your small artisan property in Bastion (Rum Cart). @Phred, should he just re-submit or is that license form lost in a buffer somewhere?

Danish Napoleonic Era Uniforms Don't confuse "design" with "english speaker marketing". Selling Danish soldiers in North America would have been near impossible, so they twisted the narrative into something that would resonate more (i.e. english sounding names). But the design cues are clear as day; no point denying it.

She's a lovely brig. Beautiful sleek hull shape with great details like the capstan, canted masts, and rigging (I love your simple method for the eye/blocks). I am going to bookmark this for the next time I build in brick, as there is a lot of good stuff here to refer to.

Captain Nordau is certainly the (Clown) Prince of Pirates! I would have been truly disappointed had he not made a return this month - though I half expected him to be sailing a barrel or soap box or somesuch, not a class 6 warship! Yikes! Gorgeous sitting room btw. Loved the windows.

Holy cripes! The beast is back!

I have to agree with this. I can't figure out what you did from this pic unfortunately.

That certainly is a clever build. Great job! Not sure about the connotations of the name though.

A gorgeous LDD vessel. It may be a bit short for a 7 though. Check here for a rule of thumb. To make matters a big murkier, about half the class 7 warships have been two deckers in Era 2. Dreamchaser Bruyant HRS Ardent @Legostone @Bregir, you guys have a though on this?

haha. Already did last night. -
While I find the shape of the bow a bit odd, the rest of the ship is very well executed. Nice job!

That is a very nicely built little shack. Well done. -
A quick google of Danish napoleonic era uniforms (red with blue frogging) and remembering where Lego originates, quickly solves the red coat as historic analogy mystery. I realize most wish they’d represent Britain, but it’s clearly Denmark.

@PhredPoke poke. Friendly reminder

I really liked the look of the bridge. The stonework had some nice detail. May I suggest a single colour backdrop would improve your photographs? I unfortunately don't have a light box/lamp set-up, and simply use the camera on my cellphone, so my photos aren't great by any means; but I find a sheet of coloured poster board (which I bought at the dollar store) helps with the presentation.

Great scene and a better start to your Sea Rat career Tomskippy.

Thanks for the kind words. Nice to see I came up with a new technique (or possibly new). I stole that one. Not all that happy with the rug. I ran into problems trying to get a small checked one that would lie on an angle. The rest I am happy with though. -
October 19, 618: Ms. Muggins Rooming House, Bastion Dear Mayor Von Bricktin, After months of inactivity, I find myself in mind of a change for the good of the service. It is therefore with regret that I must inform you that I am resigning my commission in the Charlatan Bay merchant marine and position as Commodore. This is to take effect immediately. As a number of my officers will be joining me in resignation from your employ, the command of the Toucan shall pass to whomever you deem fit. All the luck to you and Charlatan Bay, -Captain Silas Pike "KINGSTON!" "Mi deh yah Cap'n. Gwan den?" "I have just finished writing my retirement letter for that trumped-up goose of a two-bit smuggler who somehow now controls Charlatan Bay. I have taken the liberty of informing Von Bricktin you and the officers will be also be leaving with me. Once you read this letter, you'll under why I took such a liberty." "Mercy! Can tis be true?! Dat old man be still alive after all dat we eard?" "Yes. It appears the tales of his demise with the fall of Charlatan Bay were nothing but false rumours. Not only that, but he has gathered a pirate fleet and offered us the captaincy of his latest prize, a mardierian sloop-of-war." "Much respect me and de bredren have for 'im. Mi a forward wit you. Dese glad tidins." "I have to agree. It will be nice to work with proper villains again." ===/===/===/=== Just a little scene I dreamed up a few weeks back after I realized we lack any analgous Caribbean culture in the BoBS world. And because I am very frugal, I'll license this as a small residence.

Thanks for the confidence, but I don't have all the keys to the castle yet.

Yes, it is a black flag fleet.

Oct, 618 - Parts Unknown To whom it may concern, I wish to condemn the unmocced vessel 'Magnolia (3)' as a prize. This "fell out of the sky" and into my possession during the recently completed August/September MRCA. -Missive from the Yellow Skull fleet

The leadership is presently in a cycle of discussions/revisions regarding Sea Rats and player piracy in general. This has produced the following three rules that come into effect as of today: Note that a second set of changes are still being worked on to complete this revision cycle.
