  1. Set Number/Name: 6090 Royal Knight's Castle Theme: Castle/Royal Knights Year Released: 1995 Pieces Count: 764 Minifigures: 11 Price: You should be able to get a used set for less than 80 euros on ebay. It's been a while since i told you i'm gonan do reviews of a few older sets that are still missing in the review index here. Been a bit busy, but now i'm back! All the reviews from the new kingdoms sets forced me to dust off another set today and take some pictures. Let's begin! The Instructions: The good old yellow-orangeish instructions like we know them - not much to say here. The Minifigs: Wow! That's 9 figs, with a total of 6 different Torsos. When there's something good about classic sets, it's the amount of figs you get! The only "issue" is, that there is no character from a rivaling faction in this set. Is there anything else? Oh yes, we also have some characters that are not human here: Horses & Ghost: Accessoires: Weapons, anyone? Overall views of the set: I really like the overall design of this castle. The raised baseplate is unique and has a good shape. If there's something to critisize for me, it's the backside. I don't know, i just think it's not the ebst design, probably the wall should have been a bit higher. Detailed views: Moving from the inside out, we begin with the fountain on the deep ground of the castle, a very nice thing to add! Right beside, there is the prison - it's got plenty of space, but the royal knights seem to be in times of peace so right now it is empty: If we move a little to the right, we find a very well hidden secret entrance "Hey look, there's steps and a secret door!": A bit above that, we find the king's throne, also featuring a trap door if the mighty one isn't in the mood to talk to someone: Back on the ground again, there are happening very mysterious things: And if that didn't frighten you enough, the spooky ghost comes out of his little home: Conclusion: This has to be one of my favorite castles ever, right behind 6086 Black Knight's Castle. It has lots of playing features, plenty of figs and tons of accesoires! I can't imagine a child ever getting bored with this set. Hope you liked the review, see you soon with the next one!

Looks like you're wrong, cause the product page actually has been updated with box pictures and more detail pictures now.

On the box it says 2294 pieces, which includes the sharks. Official description also says 2294 pieces. Simple proof the sharks ARE in it. Why would they be on the box, if they aren't in the set? This wouldn't make any sense at all...

Just because there are no pics of an interior on the box, it doesn't have to mean there is none. Same as it didn't mean there are no sharks, just because there were no pics with them until now...

Pirates of the Carribean 5 Sets Discussion

There still hasn't been a "real" press release for it yet, like they usually do it with a designer video and lots of detail pictures. Something is strange with this set announcement. First we just get low-res pictures of it with a little description and no real press release, and then it's up on S@H with just the same pictures in high-res, but still no box pictures and whatsoever. Leaves hope they are still holding back some details for a real press release...

Pirates of the Carribean 5 Sets Discussion

Honestly, i don't get people's hate on this set. Especally some complaining about there being no hull makes me laugh. That's the way it is supposed to be! Have you even seen any trailer for the movie yet? If so, nobody would expect a"full" ship. For example look at the scenes where it appears in this trailer, it is meant to be a sceletal WRECK of a ship, so the set is spot-on. If they'd change it to an actual ship, it would have nothing to to with the movie anymore, which would make no sense at all...

Btw. Did anyone notice that the Fortrex set has more parts than any castle since before the fantasy era at least?
  11. Set Number/Name: 6086 Black Knight's Castle Theme: Castle/Black Knights Year Released: 1992 Pieces Count: 588 Minifigures: 12 Price: Depending on condition and so on, between 70 and 120 € on Ebay Since i have been recently "digging" out again some of my older castle sets and put them back on display again, and i saw there are a few reviews missing for sets that i own, i decided to review this great classic castle. This is my first review since a long time, and due that i am not a member of the reviewers academy, i hop you forgive me though i tried my best, if some pictures are not perfect. Enough babbling, let's go straight to the pictures! The Instructions: Not much to say about those, everything is showed clearly and the print is from high quality, like in all instructions from that time. The Minifigs: There are 12 of them! Isn't that an amazing amount? If you compare it to set nowadays, i would definitely say yes. We have 4 knights on horses, all with different colors, different saddles and we even get at least one horse in every colour that is available. We have another 6 foot soldiers to protect the castle, of which 4 are archers. On the enemy's side we have a standard wolfpack guy with red cape and a ghost. Overall Views: Left-angled: Right-angled: Front: Side views: Bird perspective: Detailed Views: Secret entrance to the "keep" on the right corner: The fassade of the "keep" - a great piece of architecture: Inside the "keep", we have a table, a barrell, a chest and something to drink for the knights: The door of the left tower - this is where the house ghost lives! The flag, which is only available in this set: Detail from the front entrance: The prison inside the castle, and what i think is some kind of a water place: Some final words: I think this is one of the best castles TLG has ever produced, cause though it has a raised baseplate, it got an incredible design that makes it look unique. There are plenty of figs coming with it what is great, but also every fig is different. Add lots of accessoires, rare pieces and great playability, this set is totally perfect. Hope you liked my review, i can't wait to hear your opinions about it and the set! Edit: pictures are fixed now and should work again.

2014 City Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I got all of the arctic sets now and put them on display so i thought i'd provide a picture of them all together. They actually take up quite a lot of space:
  15. Oh my god, how on earth could this possibly be fixed?! Now i won't buy the set, cause here's no way you can just turn the flags around
  16. Can anyone that already has the set please provide some pictures of the lower deck?

2014 City Sets - Rumours and Discussion

You just forgot that Antarctica is not the same as the Arctic...the first is ocated on the south pole while the second is on the north pole. Besides that i think it doesn't really matter of which theme this is a subtheme. I mean it's not like there's "City" printed on each part of it. if it bugs you so much you can always overwrite the city logo on the box and instructiuon. If it really is that important.

2014 City Sets - Rumours and Discussion

The "City" theme is pretty much everything that has to do with modern age (with no scifi elements to it). Besides that, i don't think it matters if it is branded with City, as you can put it wherever you want yourself...

2014 City Sets - Rumours and Discussion

There isd absolutely no point to the orange jackets with blue hoods lookin bad or not right. I work for the city here, and we have reflective orange jackets with blue stripes and blue hoods, and they look very well in reality.
  23. Set Number/Name: 6081 King's Mountain Fortress Theme: Castle/Crusaders Year Released: 1990 Pieces Count: 435 Minifigures: 8 Price: Depending on condition and so on, between 40 and 100 € on Ebay As i promised, i will review some of my classic castle sets over the next weeks, and today we go on with the 2nd installment in these series: A review of the first real "big" castle i ever owned! When i got this set i was probably only 4 or 5 years old, and i think i might have built it with my grandpa back then. Anyhow, this isn't the version i had back then anymore, but luckily i managed to get one back off ebay about a year or 2 ago. Let's begin the review! The Instructions: I forgot to make apicture of the instructions, so ust posted the picture from brickset this time. The Minifigs: We have 8 figs all in all, not as much as in Black Knight's Castle, but thinking of that this one is a bit smaller, still a very good amount. 4 Foot Soldiers, 2 Knights on horses (with different saddles and colors), the usual ghost plus a lovely maiden figure, which is (i believe) exclusive to this set. Overall Views: Detailed Views: At the front we have this wonderful piece of architecture, which can be opened... ...to reveal something extremely scary! Inside the castle, there's a treasure chest, little prison, and a hidden room under a door in the floor, in which you can store some more chests or barrels: A step higher in the tower, there's a door in the back that looks like a prison door (what i find a bit strange, since the prison already is downstairs), and inside a trap door (which needs a little finger help to open): And finally at the very top, there's the point to defense the castle with a crossbow stand: Ending Statement: Another castle with very good playability, though the design lacks a bit in comparison to other castles. Still a very good set with a good amount of figs and accesoires which was common for the time it was released. It gets a 8/10 rank from me for sure!
  24. Being from austria, this is really great news! But i must say one thing, austria really isn't eastern europe, it's more central europe. Actually it pretty much is right in the middle of europe.

LOTR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion

Aren't those exclusice sets always without numbered bags? I remember that the medieval market village didn't have numbered bags, also the imperial flagship didn't have numbered ones.
