"Pohatu" is awful. Whose genius idea was it to have him use a backwards Inika torso?! The slim Inika armor in orange and the new visor are good, though. And why would they throw silver onto an otherwise pretty good color scheme? And those arms! "Antroz" is yet another boring rehash. Suffers from length of arms (really, would it really be hard to change the arm length by changing one piece?). But the pic makes it look like a Barraki squid in mask form . Fortunately, CGI have a habit of distorting images (Takadox's head, for example), and I'm hoping it looks like in the TF pics, not like this monstrosity. Because if it doesn't, well, the only potential saving point of the figure is gone. Lewa has the same exact design as Lewa Phantoka save his feet, masks, and loss of the blades and jetpacks. Mask looks interesting, but otherwise, . Taka's new mask looks better from this angle than the other CGI. Less evil. But I do prefer the original prototype in the BZP article.

I think a Toa/Matoran/Turaga of Iron should be gunmetal and dark grey. Each time I look at the Toa Mistika, I want them less and less. Not sure why...

I know what you mean! From the box, Hydraxon looks gunmetal, which the actual set doesn't have any except his fingers. And it looks like that Tahu and Gali Mistika will look like they have Mata colors on their boxes, while in reality they have Metru versions :(. Fortunately, it looks like at least Axalara and Rockoh will have the colors as advertised on their boxes (Mata red! and Metru green). On another unrelated note, Umbra and Hewkii Mahri are some of the most disappointing sets I have seen.

Hey, is the story up? If so, could you take screenshots of the story so I can read it in .png format? For some reason, pdf won't load on my comp.

I want Onua more and more for some reason. His armor can replace the Tridax launchers, the battering ram thing looks interesting, and I want his mask for a Miserix revamp. But those three things don't justify a $13 price tag. Maybe five. But I absolutely want Krika and Bitil right now. Gorast too, but not as much.

I'll look at this more closely when I have more time but right now I have one thing to say. Not fond of the green over red color scheme.

I remember there being a theory about Karda Nui feeding energy to the universe, which is why it's important the BoM stay out. Maybe KN is the heart, the energy is the blood, and the BoM is like "viruses"?

Also, Greg said Tren Krom couldn't take over for Mata Nui because Mata Nui is too intertwined with the universe now. I'd assumed he'd meant mentally, but this makes a lot of sense too. PS, new banner inspired by Mista Kalio from BZP.

Oh! I see. I liked that video. Loved how they didn't show any of the Phantoka and Mistika but their movie forms. Oh yeah, forgot about that kind of things.

Or if they can't find it, at least tell me the highlights and the important stuff? 2001 , if he was designed back then. And hooray, TLC hasn't screwed up Mata Nui like they screwed up the Mistika!

I don't see it. '01 was like a mythical struggle against evil to me. '06 reminded me more of a shoot-'em-down fight. I have to agree with hewkii9 here, '06 really did feel more dark and brutal to me.

'07 had staffs. I consider Hewkii Mahri's and Maxilos's weapons staffs. And I actually think a staff fits Miserix. I don't think bludgeons fit the personality of Miserix, or even your version of a more benevolent Miserix. And I rather liked this version of Miserix. I'd keep the crown made by the Ehlek spines, but give him the Pakari Mistika, inject some Metru blue, maybe change the weapon to silver, change the fingers from gunmetal to black, seeing how there's no other gunmetal (I don't get that, ever since Hydraxon was released, I've been seeing tons of MOCs with identical fingers color-wise, even where it doesn't make sense), and give him bigger wings. I think the wings should be made of #7 and #8 Technic panel fairings, probably black. The thing I like about this MOC is that it's still a humanoid form, but there are some reptilian touches (feet, tail).

I'll like the model if you give me the cookie... nah, not worth it. Personally, I would've made Miserix black, silver and blue. Black because all the Makuta so far have black. Silver because Miserix seems a sinister, sly type of guy and silver seems to fit that. And blue because Miserix is quite a bit different from MoMN. One of MoMN's prominent colors (though he has more dark grey) is red, and blue is a contrast to red. However, I would have a similar color arrangement to the MoMN '03. Black would be used as a base color for the silver, like how MoMN had a lot of dark grey (though IMO he should've had black, not dark grey in the first place) as a base for gunmetal, then silver as an "armor" color, like how MoMN had gunmetal as an "armor" color, then blue as a secondary color, in smaller amounts than the other colors (like how MoMN has smaller amounts of red compared to the greys).

I think our similar and his similar are different. I've heard he claimed Voya Nui would have a similar feel to Mata Nui because both have trees. I'd like to see the prototypes. And didn't he say the same thing about the Phantoka prototypes? That they were similar but the focus groups rejected them?

So by your logic, since it's NEW armor, they could release a red and blue two-headed monster with no arms and four tentacles instead of legs and call it Lewa. And they could cook up some storyline excuse ("having tentacles is better for flying!!11!") for it. I absolutely love that their going to bring back the Nuva storywise, but would it hurt to have more resemblance setwise? People claim they can't make sets similar to the Nuva because they were on the market "only" five years ago so people would think they were the same exact set. Greg has also said the majority of the fans around the Nuva era are gone by now, so the majority of the fans wouldn't even know the Nuva, so it doesn't match up. The new fans would buy them since they don't know the old Nuva, and some of the older fans would buy them, making more revenue.

AMEN! I was shocked by the Phantoka, which I'd had very high hopes for. I thought it couldn't get worse...until we saw that Tahu Mistika pic in the catalog. Then it got worse. Onua's mask looks almost nothing like the Pakari, but looks almost identical to the Kraahkan. Tahu has a ninja face that looks completely different from the Hau save the cheek slashes. And Gali has Vezok's face with two elf ears and some disgusting eye growth. Tahu would be awesome (save for the backwards Piraka body and the mecha-thrusters) as some ninja warrior, but NOT Tahu. Gali would be awesome (except for the body) as a Dark Hunter, and Onua would be awesome as an agent of darkness. With the $3 increase, I can't afford to get them, since I want the awesome SW sets and the larger Bionicle sets as well. The only Toa Mistika I'm possibly going to get at full price is Onua, and that's for his chest armor and mask (I want it for my Miserix MOC), which doesn't justify his $13. I want the other Toa, but I want them as villians, and the max price I'd pay for them is $5.

Erm..."baby blue" is the same as Gali's light blue . It came with Thok, Irnakk, and Matoro Mahri. I also think Ralph_S is referring to the System lines. Because the last time we saw Mata green with a Bionicle set is '03.

I voted Mata green. We've had Mata red in the past (Dume, Roporak, Hakann, Maxilos, Axalara), and even a little Mata blue (Gadunka and Dalu), but nothing with Mata green since Lerahk. We've also had medium (light) blue (Boggarak, Thok, Matoro Mahri). Purple would be just as good as green coming back, and so would teal. I'd like some of the other Tohunga colors, too but teal and purple are what I think of when someone says "Tohunga colors". I think more of the other Tohunga colors would be nice. Yellow (the bright one, like with Bitil. We need more of that), sand blue (came with Vezok but more wouldn't hurt), and dark orange. Some more Mata blue and tan wouldn't hurt either (though probably not tan because the focus groups hate brown).

Nope, there's no mask, it's a Toa Metru head with Mistika jets on the side (???). Also, silver Gorast claws, which can also be ound as Bitil's thigh armor.
