Here's a shot of Uniter Onua with the mask on. Also, I'm alright with you messaging Cyberhand if you could. I can't say if the Titan scale mask is the same or not (don't own one), but I'm assuming it's the same.

I would, but I don't have a account on Shapeways to do so. Looking at it some more, the best way I can describe the color is it looks like mixture of black and titanium metallic (little too light to be black, and a little too dark to be titanium).

(Hi-def on the left and SaF on the right) The mask came in today, and it looks pretty nice in the Hi-def material. It's quite smooth (not as smooth as Lego pieces), feels like plastic, and has a nice shine to it, unlike the grainy feel of the Strong and Flexible. It doesn't quite match Lego black (it's a couple of shades lighter) as well as SaF. Also I'm not sure if it's just my copy or not, but the mask came out very slightly smaller than the SaF one (not sure if you can tell in the above image), which, as a result, is making the mask fit with a tighter fit to the head. The mask can still come on and off just fine, it just doesn't flop around as the SaF one did. Also, word of caution: The pointy bits of the mask right under the eye ports are quite sharp on the Hi-def mask (nearly punctured myself on the thumb). Nothing much else I could think of the say, if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I noticed Cyber Hand has the "Hi Def Acrylate" option available for the villager scale MOUP. I went ahead and ordered one (despite already owning the strong and flexible one). I'll post some pieces and compare the two once I received it.

Out of curiosity, I decided to give Darth Vader in new hip armor shell, and it looks really nice on him.

My MoUP came in today, and it's pretty nice looking in hand. I ordered the villager scaled MoUP (in black strong and flexible) a few days ago, and it might get here either tomorrow or Tuesday. Either way, I'll share some photos when I get it.

Oh good, my model follows the rules, so I don't have to rebuild anything.

I feel my model is almost finish, I redesigned about 40% of it from my original idea. While it won't win, I like for what it is. Still trying to find a way for it to hold a weapon without changing the hands.

I'll probably be doing the same as well.

I know this isn't directed at me, but I don't feel anything at all about G2 Bionicle's end. If the original line's end didn't effect me (despite being a big part of my childhood), then this one isn't either. I just can't get upset over toylines ending.

The only thing I'm upset about is the fact we won't be getting the MoUP, but other than that I honestly don't care. Edit: I am interested to see what will be replacing Bionicle this time around, if anything.

I have an incomplete MOC that's been laying around for a couple of weeks, might do something with it if I decide to enter the contest (based on what I've seen in past contests, I could already tell my creation is going have a snowball's chance in hell.)

The MoUP looks a lot creepier and demonic looking than what I was expecting. Either way I like the design, and hope we get a psychical copy of the mask next year.

Unfortunately, the lower jaw of the head and tranparent sections of the mask get in the way.

I've recently finished building and modding my UtD, and He is impressive ih-hand. Personally, I feel replacing these pieces with this piece makes the head look a bit better (shameless plug alert):

After building a mock-up of UtD in LDD with my mods ideas, I'm starting to like the set more. I'm now strongly considering buying the set now.

After looking at the video, my opinion on UtD has shifted from "might not buy" to a maybe. I don't like how his neck is made up of technic beams, I don't see why they didn't use CCBS elements. If I do decide to get UtD, he'll be "heavily" modified.

D'oh, translucent was the word I was looking, not opaque. Fixing previous post...

I was also disappointed, cept I thought they were going translucent. While I like the blades, I feel they would've looked a lot better if they were either transparent or translucent.

I see what you mean about the generic build, though at one point I did try to give Lewa a build similar to his official look, but it didn't come out looking the way I wanted it. As odd as it seems, I like the contrast the two colors make. Regarding Umarak's leg build, I hate the axle rod sticking out as well, but unfortunately I don't have another piece/parts I could put there to achieve the look I want (well I do, but not in the color I want), so until then, he's stuck I that. Also, I didn't really like how a bohrok eye piece look there. Interesting idea, I'll might try it out to see how it looks.

Instead of posting images of my mods in the 2016 Topic, I decided to make a new one to show them off. First I'll start with the two creatures, Ikir and Terak: Ikir: Front Back Terak: Back is pretty much the same as Ikir's. Notes: Regarding the creature's gimmick: While I found the gimmicks fun to mess with, I didn't like the technic backpack they had due to it, so I removed it. Personally, I found Terak looks better with the silver PoU than the gold one. Next the two Toa, Lewa and Pohatu: Lewa: Front Back Pohatu: Front Back Upper torso assembly Shoulder pad assembly Notes: Lewa is pretty much the same as in my previous image, save for the lower legs and eyes. I wasn't aware Pohatu only came with two dark tan shells (error on my part), so he's using silver ones until I can get a hold of more dark tan shells. Finally Umarak: Front Back Upper torso assembly front Upper torso assembly back Lower leg assembly Bow assembly Notes: Since I had no plans on ever using the "Unity" gimmick with Umarak, I modded his upper back to remove said connection points.

I've been looking at the image of the summer sets some more, and I'm starting to warm up to Ekimu and Umarak the Destroyer's designs (still won't be getting them), but the beast still do absolutely nothing for me.

The only one that looks decent is Ekimu, the rest don't look good at all, IMO. Umarak the destroyer is ...disappointing, compared to his Hunter form. I'll wait for better images before commenting on the beast, but so far, I don't like what I'm seeing.
