Poison Ivy replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Just a quick question: Is there a Mafia strategy guide somewhere? I can't find one on mafiawiki, and I don't see one in the Index. I would really like to prepare a strategy before the next School starts, but so far I've only been able to read previous games, and there is a lot not in there (PMs, writeboards, etc.) that I would like to learn about. So, is there any place I can learn this? -
Probably 25 or so. This discussion about a character who fights hand-to-hand really has me thinking, and caused me to create this enemy: Guardsman Fistfighter Health: _/_ Level: _ Special: Fists of Steel: The Fistfighter hits the target for _ Damage. Drops: Fists of Steel (WP:_, hand-to-hand combat weapon) Thoughts?

Judging by the positioning of the armor used on Black Phantom's shoulders on your MOC, I'm assuming Von Nebula revamped? Been working on something of the sort for a while, but gave up after I made a few other MOCs and used most of my black parts. If I get Black Phantom, I might try again. Anyway, that Xplode is cool, but I think you might want to look into a multiple purchase of Furno 2/3.0. There's a lot of red shells in those sets, and the Fire villains (Nitroblast in particular) have some red torso bones and beams that could be used to balance the colorscheme a bit more on this, by eliminating the black bones. Another suggestion I have is to replace the trans-orange and printed parts with Gunmetal/Silver, it will give the revamp a more symmetrical outlook, as well as eliminate one of the colors in the colorscheme. I generally try to keep my MOCs in three colors: A main color, which is generally bright, like orange, green, or blue, then a base color, which is usually black, grey, silver, white, or Gunmetal, and then a secondary color, which is another bright color, generally the compliment of the main color. The main color in this MOC should be red, and then (If you want) the base color should probably be black or gunmetal, to remain within Xplode's original scheme and "feel". The secondary color should be the yellow-green of his face, but use only the main and base colors on the rest of the model. I hope I helped you consider things for your next version.

And an Extra Critical Hit of 76 Damage. I would love to see that.

Heroica RPG - Quest #24 Hunt for the Draugr
Poison Ivy replied to Capt.JohnPaul's topic in The Heroica Archive
OOC: Only elemental weapons, spells, and healing can do any damage against the Undead, so no, your attack will do nothing besides target one of the enemies and prevent a Free Hit if you use your weapon instead of Healing. The Holy Bomb will take 10 HP from each enemy, as they are weak to that element. Elemental weapons that aren't Diamond-imbued will do normal damage, weapons with a Diamond in them will do double damage, and healing will do regular damage. Hope that cleared it up for you. -
If I remember correctly, one of the Heroes from Quest #7 still has a Zoot's Plaything listed in their Inventory...... Can't remember which one though.

Wow, cool idea for a topic! Mine would probably have to be learning a bit more about my biological parents (I was adopted when I was 3 or 4, I can't remember them at all, only my foster parents).

I didn't even know that was what retarded meant before today. Now it seems a whole lot worse when my cousins from Florida use it to insult people. I might have to tell them what it means next time I see them (Probably in a few months, around Easter, or maybe the beginning of summer), because they might like to know before they use it again.

Sorry, I couldn't think of another insulting word. Actually, that was my favorite insult a few years back, when I was in 12th grade. The favorite of a lot of my class, actually. Maybe I still conform with that class too much. Won't happen again, I'll try to think of some other word that insults Pretzel's sanity.

Sandy's School game is also coming, in March, so there's that as well. -
To add my 2 cents to this discussion, remember that the prequels have a lot of scenes that are not exactly child-appropriate, Anakin murdering the Tuskens being one of the least of them. There's also Anakin murdering his wife, a drug dealer trying to get Obi to buy death sticks, and then the others mentioned here. Just because it's violent in the movie doesn't mean it has to be in LEGO. TLC has taken more than one "artistic interpretation" in their sets before. Maybe we all need to keep a cool head and stop arguing about something that probably should go in the SW discussion thread in C&M instead of posting it here.

New York Toy Fair Coverage Part One: Hero Factory
Poison Ivy replied to Aanchir's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Really? Compare his and Nex's face shots. Nex clearly has a Trans. Neon Green head, while Voltix has an "apple green" or Trans-Bright Green head. Not a fan of this wave's Heroes, execpt for Stormer and Stringer (Trans-blue ). The villains look , though. -

Indeed. However, unfortunately, I don't see much of a Mafia game coming of that, unless of course the players played Daleks and a certain number of them would be the Doctor and his comapnions in disguise..... Hey, that isn't a bad idea..... *scribble scribble*. -

Yakuza Family - Confirmation and Discussion

Werr, being just a reader of the game, I can understand you pretty well. I think that the roleplaying is nice, but some people are using it in a bit of an excess. I'll be sure not to do that in whatever School I get into. This is really a learning experience for me, as the only other Mafia I've watched is IMHOTEP, and that one went really, really fast, so I didn't learn much. This one has a much easier pace, and it's getting me excited for the next School so I can begin playing these games! -

Heroica RPG - Quest #24 Hunt for the Draugr

"I'll take a potion, to restore my Health." -
Alisha hears a *poof* from inside the graveyard, and quickly moves toward it, sword ready. She finds a woman, dressed all in pink and holding a rolled-up parchment, waiting for her there. "Hello, dearie. Message from you, from Dak." Alisha cautiously takes the parchment as it is offered, and steps backward as the woman disappears again with a loud *POOF*. She reads the note. Hey Alisha, It's Dak. I'm in a freaking cave right now, and I'm seriously really, really bored. This Hero business ain't as good as it seems at first, I tell you. I'm surprised people even sign up any more. Man, I almost died in my last battle. I know dying is a part of living, but it's still ridiculous that we do this just for a little gold or reputation with one house or the other. Somehow, I don't think that I'll last much longer if something doesn't happen to turn my luck around. What about you? How are you doing, wherever you are? -Dak She curls up beside a gravestone, quickly penning her reply. Dak, Yeah, it's pretty boring sometimes, but it'll pass. I'm doing fine, unless being constantly annoyed by a serious retard is not your definition of 'fine'. -Alisha Short, but it did the job. She smiled and got up, pleased with her results. "I have Z-Mail." *Poof* The letter disappeared in a puff of pink smoke.

Heroica RPG - Quest #24 Hunt for the Draugr
Poison Ivy replied to Capt.JohnPaul's topic in The Heroica Archive
OOC: I should have 3 HP, because of Barbarian's Natural Respite. IC: Alisha rips the old gate off its rusty hinges, throwing it onto the ground to the left of the party. She then marches inwards, Svek held at the ready. She remains wordless and expressionless during this period, except for a smirk thrown at Monk Pretzel's awed expression as she throws the gate. -

Probably similar to the Dino theme's creatures, I'm thinking. Though I think the set that includes him will probably be around the $100 price point, regardless of how many pieces are in it. My reasoning is that Smaug would have to be a gigantic mold, and thus would be very expensive to produce.
