Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
ADHO15 replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
WOW! That is an excellent collection. Do you have every set there? What do you estimate to be the total value of that collection? -
Now I've seen that interior pic of the Venator, it looks smaller than I expected. Also, looking back, all 3 candidates of the Toys'R'Us vote probably would have included a building with a hangar/landing pad and a vehicle: Home One briefing room with hangar and A-Wing Palpatine's office with maybe a pad and Anakin's speeder or fighter Cloud City building with a pad and Slave I

He's more of a Clone Wars fan than an OT fan. Seeing as nobody has seen the set, there is no answer to that yet.
-
I built it this afternoon but it's much more fragile and flimsy than I expected, unfortunately. The roof breaks when I try to open it and the back panel keeps falling off. Oh, well, I'll just re-build my MOD. Thanks again for sharing the design, though

Damn! I was looking forward to this set being OT and unappealing so I didn't have to buy it and could save my money but it's not, it's great! I hope it's not too expensive as it doesn't look very big. The fig selection is great and I will probably pick this up too. I just hope the Falcon's no good.

Okay! I was just going by what pr0visorak said above. It was only a suggestion, not the exact plan. A simple "thanks for the link" will do, rather than that attitude. EDIT: Having just watched the Blue Shadow Virus trailer after The Hidden Enemy, it says the series is almost over with 6 weeks left. With next weeks being one and the Ryloth Trilogy being a possible three, there is likely to be another episode some time.

You know what I mean! Like the Imperial Star Destroyer set with minifigs, not like the 'UCS' one. It's more likely to be the Pirate Tank as the vote was on the Toys'R'Us website so Home One is probably going to be a Toys'R'Us exclusive.

Thank you everyone for your posts! I would not recommend spending this much money on it. In my opinion, it is by far not the best set upto now and maybe no higher than $120 should be spent on this set, but that's just my opinion. If you really want it then you should buy it, even if the competition is strong. I got a great deal and I would advise you to look around a lot for this set as it can be bought for less.

Which Jedi, Sith or other do you want the most?
ADHO15 replied to darkrebellion's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I don't think so. Two members of the 7th Sky Corps were included but not Gree. He has completely different Phase 2 armour. I share your ideas here. There are many Jedi like these who should be released. I'm not a fan of EU, but there aren't any more movie Sith to be released in LEGO so why not? -
The Venator? Have you not seen the pics and discussions or am I missing something?
-
Was that not just and AT-RT?
-
I think it has been confirmed we are getting a Home One set but we have no pictures as of yet. Just a description about a hangar with an A-wing and a control room. We are getting a minifig-scaled Republic Cruiser. I like your other ideas, though.
-
I think there's 100 episodes planned to be released which works out to be four series of 25 episodes as the Ryloth trilogy is the last in the current series.
-
Thanks so much for the instructions. I will have a go at building it now.
-
I agree but it is easier for people like me who only really check the SW topics to have a little notice here too. Never mind. Here's a Youtube link that plays better for me than starwars.com does. EDIT: It looks good. We see Ahsoka in her fighter and also Mace Windu in action at last!
-
I will: could you post a link so lazy people like me don't have to go looking for it? I'll go have a look now. Thanks for the info!
-
Wow! That's an amazing MOC. Very well done.
-
I sort of agree. I think it is a basic set and some playability function would help it sell better (even if it is just flick-fire missiles). The 'premake' set included a spider droid and a Wookiee ornithopter as well.
-
That looks great! An alternative to my MOC that I posted. Could you take more pictures during building so we can see how to make it? I would love to have a go.
-
The one in the Wookiee Attack had a track that ran round the body of the droid that turned on rough surfaces (it just slid across wood). Also, the disks rotated backwards to reveal a seat for a battle droid inside. Nothing too special really. Hope this helped!
-
Thanks you very much for the great info Sir von Lego! Could you tell me what the interior of the Venator is like and what functions the Y-wing and Snail Tank have?
-
Where did you get that information from? I thought we were getting a guaranteed two clone troopers and at least one of them has a jetpack.
-
I did semi-clean this up with picture comparison evidence but I guess this sort of confirms it. I think it includes two battle droids and a pilot as the only thing to suggest otherwise is one picture from the Toy Fair (which wasn't the most well-organized event I've seen, at all ) but he could have just come from another set.
-
Good find! It looks like a good MOC and it has instructions on how to build it. I'll have a go later on. Thanks.

(02.02.09) This is my second review. It features: Product: 7252 Droid Tri-Fighter Theme: Star Wars No of pieces: 148 Release Date: 2005 RRP: USD $14.99 Featured Episodes: ROTS Lego "Shop at Home" Catalog Description The droid. TLG added the opening ball function to give the basic set some playability. Although not much, it does mean you can keep the buzz droid with the set so it doesn't get lost. I might also occupy kids for 2 minutes. The only fig in this set is a buzz droid made from thirteen pieces. Like many people, I thought this droid looked very inaccurate and removed the legs and saw to make it look better. The printed domes are a nice touch that gives it some detail. TLG included some very nice printed bricks (the 2 parts that make the central ball and the 2x1 dark blue pieces) as well as some stickers (the CIS logos and the black 'join'). The droid with the ball open to take the buzz droid out or put it back in. The buzz droid safely shut away in its ball. The back of the droid showing the three detailed engines. The front of the droid. You can see its main gun in the middle and the three others on the wings. A picture to compare the LEGO design with the 'real' thing. I think it is a good set with a good price/parts ratio. It would later be included in the Ultimate Space Battle set and the buzz droid also rereleased in the Ahsoka's Starfighter set this year. It looks good for display too as it has an accurate design and goes well with Confederacy Vulture Droids (also first released in 2005 with a remake this year). Design: 9/10 - A superb design to create the sleek and curved look. A bit bare but still great. Minifigs: 6/10 - Only one brick-built minifig that many people don't like. Also, the buzz droid is not unique to this set. Playability: 6/10 - Not much to do with the set apart from swooshing and taking the buzz droid out of the ball. Swooshability: 9/10 - Small, strong and easy to move around. Overall: 7.5/10 - An accurate calculated score. See the gallery here. KimT, you can add it to the index if you like. I made it to fill the gap. Also, you may add a vote to it and give any more suggestions.
