    Future LotR and Hobbit sets

The Lonely Mountain surely won’t feature much in the first movie (assuming the first movie more-or-less maps to the first half of The Hobbit).

    Future LotR and Hobbit sets

I would love to see Hobbiton Hill above all.

    Maleficent the Dragon

That is very cool. Shouldn’t Prince Philip be clean-shaven and short-haired as in the movie, though?

    LOTR & The Hobbit 2012

They have some gigantic, amazing Star Wars sets, so I think we can dare to think big. Minas Tirith would obviously be the crown jewel of the Middle-earth sets. Up to twice as big as Helm’s Deep, but no bigger. It doesn’t have to have seven tiers. It just needs to be treated as a “castle” (rather than a whole city) and abstracted out in the normal way every castle has ever been. As long as it has the recognizable shape — rounded wall, spur of rock, Tower of Ecthelion — you can focus on play elements. Let it swing open so you can have a Houses of Healing room, a Houses of the Dead room, a Hall of the King. Do something cool with the gate.

    REVIEW:9471 Uruk-hai Army

The Eomer fig can surely be used for Theodred, Grimbold, Dunhere, Elfhelm, Erkenbrand, and Dernhelm!

Review: 9474 The Battle of Helm's Deep

Is the set designed so that you can combine two of them, or would that require modding?

    LOTR & The Hobbit 2012

Hey, guys. Dumb newbie question. I haven’t collected Legos since the Black Falcons/Crusaders/Forestmen until the MMV. The MMV minifigs still have yellow heads and hands like I remember (not normal smiling faces anymore, but I remember the new faces from when Pirates first came out). These Middle-earth minifigs look... not yellow??
