AHhhh!!! Im seriously struggling to hold off getting my second one of these because of this very reasonable price I now know of because of you!
-
I can't believe I finally fell for it... Usually I spot necros a mile off but.... Darnit.

It is too difficult to really get a decent view of this without any better/more revealing pictures and so limiting the ability to really give any critique/commendation on your efforts, but I will keep an eye on this for when further pictures do appear

It was difficult to really get a feel for the size of this moc, until that last picture!! Its huge!!! And despite you mentioning the oversize of the cockpit/undersize of the rear, it still retains a really nice look to it from the source version =D And there is an interior as well! Very much a nice clean build there :)

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Fuppylodders replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Oh wow! That is worth getting for the minifigs alone! (perhaps not the gungan... but still, the rest -
I caught a glimpse of this before I decided to take an early night and check this out better in the morning. I then had a very weird dream which was 100% because of this moc. I dreamed of Star Wars in mini lego form, and this scene played out over a huge length of my dream with the mini Lego Tie fighters chasing my mini Lego X wing ! Really awesome moc, as mentioned many times the greebling is just right, not too much nor too little. Brilliant job!

I know this has been necro'd and I wouldn't normally respond for stated reason, but dam! Can't believe I missed this! Now I know where TLG got their 10188 inspiration from

Monster Fighters 2012

Who's to say it's not the same issue with the Swamp Creature? The cowl would have been made to fit a standard minifig head, and if you look closer on the packaging picture, you will see that the cowl is actually lifted off the body by between 1-2mm. I can get the same affect if I lift the cowl off the minifigure the same amount and everything matches like it does in the picture. If they made a new cowl they would have more than likely made it to fit the existing head print, knowing it would have to match that so would have had to ensure the eyes would have matched up. Somewhere along the lines they have messed up, probably before the packaging was designed/finalised for the image because it appears that this 'lifting' is their fix for it... So regardless of reason, head doesn't match up to headgear due to error. -

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Fuppylodders replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Out of that list, I'd go with Poggle the Lesser. Poggle sounds such a cute but awesome name, and I can't imagine he's been done as many times as the other guys so if you can pull him off, you are surely onto a winner! Perhaps this torso with one of those technic pneumatic T shaped gray bits poked into the body and then the newer general grievous legs attached to that, and then whatever head you like ^_^ -

Your Darth Vader has a lightsaber!!! Mine doesn't =O How did you get the key chain part out of the head? I don't want to break mine, although I have had the heads off... Also, how did you get the Darth Vader head out of his helmet? -

It could very well be a bad first batch of them, and I would hope it is just down to that and that they will be better in the future, but with regards to the toyfair/official images, is it possible that that particular minifig is one and the same from the pics/toyfair etc, that it was the one used for the photography for the official images/box art? (I don't know, I'm just spitballing here ) -

If you look in the SW forum, then you'll see that mis-printing is more common than you realise. Take the Asohka head for example. There have been examples where the different colours are mis-aligned. Not by much, but enough that it is quite noticeable if you look at it. Example: Shaak Ti 's Head piece doesn't match up perfectly or even unnoticably to the head printing of the white bits around her eyes. On the head piece, the orange gap in the middle is wider than it is on her actual head. Also you can notice the gap of red where the white doesn't bleed off into the head piece so well. It's not as perfect as one would assume. *edit* I actually don't get the big fuss about it. OK it is clear that on the box version the head is printed slightly higher so it all matches perfectly, but the actual consumer version, well, it just looks like his eyelids. It isn't that out of place, and it certainly doesn't look like a 'huge' mistake. Just found another 'printing' mistake on the first model I picked up that was close to me. Looking from underneath my new 9492 Tie fighter, the printing of the gray on the bubble cockpit glass window isn't parallel to the edge of the cockpit bubble piece. I notice it, but it's no biggie. I can bet there are loads of these bubble canopy pieces that are misprinted, I also do wonder if I'm the first one to notice it as it isn't that noticeable at all, unless you are looking for imperfections. But simply for the fact I have made the mistake aware, it is more likely to be deemed an issue now, just for the sake of wanting a 'perfect printing' than it is to those who are already happy with it being what it is overall. -

I wouldn't necessarily say it's misprinted, it appears everyone's version is 'misprinted'. But do you ever notice that sometimes on toys the version that is on the box is slightly better quality colours/build than the version that someone actually receives inside the box? Unless someone else comes along and has a perfect non misprinted version, I would assume this is simply a case of that box art version is the perfect version used for visual aesthetics, whereas the version actually inside is the version used for mass-producing. This sort of thing happened a lot with Transformers toys. Pics on the rear of the packaging had much better quality colours/detail and weren't 100% replicated with the toy that was with it. -

I'm sure I wouldn't have anything remotely useful to you that you couldn't simply have already gotten from Bricklink, as my meager stash of lego is limited already, however I'm sure info on how these will be attained/where/when, seeing as you are going to be attaining some of these as/when you say, perhaps you might be able to release to us this info? -

Received this email 8th May: YOUR LEGO® ORDER IS ON ITS WAY! Sam, Your LEGO® order has shipped. The tracking number is *********. It may take up to 24 hours for your tracking information to be available on the shipping courier's website. After this time, you can track the progress of your parcel by clicking here. Then on the 10th May (today at 20:20) I received this e-mail: Delivery information regarding your Lego order. Dear LEGO® fan, Due to the extraordinary popularity of our LEGO® Star Wars™ May 4th promotion we are experiencing delays in our warehouse. Your order will be processed as soon as possible and you will receive a shipping confirmation email when it is on its way to you. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused to you and your family. We would like to thank you for your patience. Kind regards, Your LEGO Shop at Home team. Kinda proves that they are all over the place at the moment with their ordering/email updates etc. Which if that is how they are at the moment, I wouldn't be surprised people might be missing TC-14s either. It clearly isn't just delays they are experiencing...

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Fuppylodders replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
But it is only about 1500 pieces (I'm sure I saw that somewhere), so I'm not too sure it would be. Also, looking at Cavegods own version, it is already close to a minifig scale (I think, anyways) when you compare it to this pic here and from the preliminary pic I've seen of the UCS version, it looks in similar size. But I could be wrong! @Aeroeza You are also probably right :( -

Does anyone know when the release date for them in the UK is? Everything seems so hush hush now and no dates/info seem to be leaked/given anymore Also how come they seem to be releasing them in individual countries with so much time inbetween? -
C3PO could work well as a queen However, this set does look amazing and much more likely an item that could be released within an affordable budget, great design!

Well surely after you had been hunting monsters for years, and had a few nasty scrapes/infectious bites etc, you'd have lost limbs/had to have them amputated for fear of infection spreading, thus giving way for cybernetic replacement limbs. How could you not see that? I personally think they have done really well with the monster designs, and the whole theme gives a nice refreshing horror taste to it anyways. That train will be the first of my purchases of them, I find it just draws me into it... and then I'll struggle to decide which I'll want next after that because I like them all! Thankfully my girlfriend will probably be getting the castle so I can tick that off my need to get list -
Collectable Minifigures: Feeling the Packets
Fuppylodders replied to Jedi master Brick's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I don't feel it is wrong at all. First come, first served. That's life. Sure we are all Lego collectors, but at the end of the day, its a dog eat dog world and if you want something, just get it because the chances of someone else letting you have the minifig you want, or the chances of you gettin the minifigs you want reasonably cheap while including all the extra figs u dont want, will be pretty damned high. For the first time I felt packets today. I wanted the rock chick and the Marine. I got both. I was happy. I was also doing this while another kid next to me was looking/feeling for the exact same 2. Whether there was another of each or not, I don't know, but I do know that had I not done the same, I would have lost out because of someone else. And luck is not very often on my side, I once got 5 of the damned zookeeper. Why should I keep getting the zookeeper while other people get the decent ones they want with better luck? So, like I said, First come, First serve. Everyone has equal chance of getting the figs they want if they put the effort into it.
