Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Fuppylodders replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I'm not too sure you're aware you're also posting on a public forum where others can and will, respond to what you say regardless if it's directed at them or not... If you'd rather someone moved along, you'd be best off sending a pm to theremin if you want to keep it all between you and him and prefer your own personal space... -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Fuppylodders replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
There is nothing to think through. If they're lying, there's nothing stopping them taking up the bet to call their own bluff, and then simply not pay up when it gets proven wrong. The fact they haven't taken it up doesn't say anything as they haven't even acknowledged it. It might be an effective method irl when you know someone who actually would have to pay up, but in internet world where people can say/promise what they like without having to back it up, it's worthless. -

Legitimate question... as a deaf blind person, how do you know what you're typing, and see you haven't made any errors? How do you know what others have typed? -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Fuppylodders replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
You're expecting someone whos potentially willing to lie over the internet... to guarantee you theyll buy you a lego set... if it turns out theyre lying.... You realise how dumb and pointless that is? 'Yeah ill agree to that bet! *his words turns out to not be true' As if he would then pay up.... Additionally... @theremin Why should we believe you, someone with no posts here before this? What you've said, sounds very much like assumptions anyone can make. How do you know this? Or are you just some troll looking for a bit of fun? (which if that's the case, is sad...) -

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Fuppylodders replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I read somewhere they are purely just for city and nothing else. Given modulars don't utilise any sort of road, it would be unnecessary to design the modulars to fit the new road system. Additionally, if one were to assume they're using the new road system to replace base plates so they stop producing them altogether, it'd affect their entire range of lego that utilises baseplates. The new road system is just for city. Modulars will keep their usual flat baseplates. (well, I'm seriously hoping.... but as with all things, it could change in the future ) -

Arm printing for Vader? Wait wut? Where's this? -
is it worth trying with the 2x3 wedge plates instead? Although you'd still end up with a gap at the top, although you could probably get away with one underneath... The 1x3 wedge has a slightly wider angle as it ends at 2 studs wide after only 3 studs down, instead of 4, as the wedge plate used above does. So, you'd use two 2x3 wedge plates lined up, with one underneath at the top Although the bottom still wouldn't quite line up :s

I think one more tusken raider and I'd be more accepting of its price. But I'll be honest. I'm also going to get it regardless! The fact Din can carry baby yoda speeder bike is a nice size/build too. The rest will probably be a parts pack. Might make the 'tent' if you can call it that, for somewhere for the tusken to sit. They certainly upped their game with the arm printing though. Wonder what brought that on? -
Appreciate that :) Damn... I need a few of those for a future moc im planning to do :o

Mental! Absolute huge too!! Personally I'd leave the props as they are. A minor detail that doesn't really get noticed whether it's bronze or dark tan (I think that's what it is?) when there is so much more else to look at! The rope winches with the S-brick logo look really good, as does the rest of it. -
is it possible to remove one yellow piece from each section, so for example, leave the pieces on the left side (as you rotate round) and slightly widen the sections. It looks like one straight edge will line up to one angled piece

Tell me about it! I instantly though 'that'd be awesome made out of lego!!!' I also feel the acting in the fight scenes and in general seems to have gotten a lot better (since episode 2 and onwards) and more like the films, and less like people running around cos playing not being able to see properly and with arm movements restricted by costumes. -

Oh, I totally agree with your first paragraph, they certainly do have a fair bit of room for artistic licence in designs they feel might work. From what I was aware of (couldn't even tell you how, probably from reading through this beaten donkey on these forums which ended up being the conclusion), TLG make stuff. Let Disney/Lucasfilm/whoever know what they've made or designed/want to design. Disney/LF/Whoever give their opinion if they like it or want it changed... TLG either agree with changes or suggest why it's better their way... and this happens until both agree, although typically TLG put something out, and typically disney mostly let them get on with it. However, regarding your last statement, I can't say i agree that it is pure fantasy. Regardless of whatever rumours are/were around, even the actors themselves have said how secretive everything is around filming trying to keep everything under wraps. The actors simply get the script their a part in, and it's emailed to them, not even hard copies anymore. Considering this, it is not far fetched at all to believe Disney allow TLG a *stretch* of freedom with regards to very recent relevant sets to the current season being released/shown... however, that they will also pull the leash tight on certain things which may be seen as a spoiler regardless whatever rumours are out there. Cobb *should* have been included in this set. It makes no sense why he wasn't unless either: he is in a future set with some big dragon mouth thing or his speeder He would have been considered a spoiler Disney wouldn't have wanted TLG to reveal in any capacity (leaks or not). As @Lego-Freak says, hindsight shows it would have been safe to include him. But before hand, there was no hindsight, no safe bet, no guarantee. I'm almost certain that Disney wouldn't run on a 'yeah, we think we can stop the leak, not 100% sure, but we'll do our best!' kinda guarantee. -

But that's all irrelevant is it not? Considering TLG can't go off 'rumours' on a contract they are obliged to stick to with regards to contents of their sets. They could hardly add something in a set based off a rumour no matter how true or solid it was, simply for the fact they'd then be doing a set with spoilery contents in it, rather than staying within the confines of releasing non spoilery stuff. So it wouldn't matter how far in advance anything was known, if TLG aren't allowed to release something without official (disney) approval, or end up potentially facing consequences. Probably something they feel no need to even tread lightly around, just avoiding it altogether. (edit* also given how leaky some things can be with TLG, they wouldn't be able to guarantee they'd not be the source of a first spoilery leak before something from the film production, and, if rumour turned out to be false, or last minute change, then making a set with contents based on a rumour would be a bad move regardless) But as others have pointed out... S1 should have a better set selection by now... -

You can't get a Beskar mando made yourself without using paint or sharpies and at that point you're modifying Lego. Can't make a baby yoda from other bits. Sure an official one would be great, I do agree with you there. But we don't know what TLG are going to be putting out. He hasn't shown up in a single individual set and suddenly everyone is up in arms about it... (*edit: although I do see your concern as TLG have a habit of leaving out obvious characters in obvious sets and then never making them at all when perfect opportunities come and go... I do have my fingers crossed for you that Cobb comes in another future set ) I do expect (hope??) that won't be the only set Beskar Mando comes in, you may just have a bit of a wait on your hands unfortunately :( -

As is Cobb Vanth as Redroe points out. All you wanting a Cobb vanth, just grab a random bearded minifig head, red arms with boba fett torso and legs, and there you have him. Lego literally don't need to make any new prints for him. Is $30 a bit steep? Possibly... but throwing all in what they have from the sounds of it, is pretty much what one would expect from Star Wars value. As it is, I don't have any of those 3 figs yet (Tusken Raider) so am extremely happy to get the Child, Beskomando and the raider in one small set. -

Ahhh, gotcha... To be honest, I was just kinda bored of seeing the 'personally I'd like to see... I want a.... I'd like a *** too....' multiple posts that we haven't seen a million times already. I keep hoping the new post might be some sort of information, but nope... surprise surprise, its the same c**p of people listing the same thing they want to see. Just gets a little tedious. -

I voted for it because I was hoping it'd be ucs, and wanted to see how they achieved it as a ucs design. Figures, sure they'd be nice. But I love the ship itself and am more keen on seeing how they implement ucs proportions/scaling/level of details -

The 7676 gunships is still really nice and worth a consideration. I have both the 7676 and the 75201 (and a moc based on the 7163). Sure, it's not as solidly built as 75021, nor does it have a handle, but it's definitely just as good detail wise and a fair chunk cheaper too. If TLG were to do a typical minifig sized RGS now, I'd imagine it being around the £140 mark/same price as the system scale atat. I'm struggling to see how they're going to make a ucs one for an extra £40 or so... I just can't see it.
