LEGO IDEAS - The Medieval Blacksmith
Fuppylodders replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Looks like a tan horse, and the 2 knights look great!! They certainly know how to pull people off the fence! It kinda does, the knights have the half black/half silver Eagle shields, and blue torsos with that design in the middle -
Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
Fuppylodders replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Found it! Am not sure TLG are aware this isn't normal in cities https://buffetoblog.com/2008/12/08/caption-contest-chicken-on-a-motorcycle/amp/ -
Personally I don't trust anything that seller says. Firstly, he's selling a paperweight that he knows only what has been told to him, and is claiming it to be guaranteed authentic from lego. That it could be one of a kind, or not, as he knows nothing about it. How can he make such a claim without any form of confirmation? I could make one of them eeeeeeaaasily out of clear resin and claim the exact same thing. He's selling an empty plain blister for an sdcc figure (just the transparent clear bit!) for $500! Like wtf kinda person would be stupid enough to do that?! Wouldn't be difficult to get one made for less than that, then claim its a genuine one.... While I do believe he has the genuine gold figure, he looks to be talking a load of crap to squeeze as much money as he can from absolutely anything.

It's ok, I'm doing it to myself too. I mean... those chrome pieces would be costly... $800 costly? It's not though, I've not seen that anywhere, just what would actually be an awesome surprise if it occurred! R2 being his size, I could see a C3PO being large enough and if chromed, enough pieces to justify that price point (just.... with an over-reaching grasp at SW licence pricing) so no one be starting that as the next rumour! -

That settles it. TLG showed where it sits. Docks in the middle, Gardens to its right and city to its left! Thank god that's settled! -

They'd definitely update it. It had a fair bit of room for improvement as future mocs showed, but don't get me wrong.... 10225 was an exceptional iteration of R2D2 that certainly did tick all the boxes as a retail set. Not too good to be true, too ridiculous (imo). Look at the size of the coliseum. That's 9k parts. Add a further 2k and you'd have a coliseum sized ball. If it is a 11k ds, I'll eat a lego hat. (not a normal person sized one, that'd clog my internals up ). Through the improvements of Cavegods version that it's gone through, it proves stability isn't an issue. Anywhere between Raskalnikovs version and Cavegods version, we'd be onto a winner. It clearly wouldn't be a play set so while it'd be nice to have posable legs, it's not essential, and fixing them in place certainly removes any issue of stability. Piece count potential, easily fits in with the price. Unless... Its a pearl/chrome gold UCS C-3PO in scale with the possible R2 re-release -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Fuppylodders replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
But why bother not including the pins but the technic bricks? It makes no sense. If that's so you 'can if you want to' connect it then 2 pins isn't going to break the bank for them to add them. You literally get a spare pin most of the time anyway, so to add one single pin takes nothing. -

Expand your gardens with 2x sets?? As if they can keep up with the demand of people just wanting a single set of it! let alone two!! -

There really is no need for concern regarding the gunship being against competition and competing for sales and perhaps having low sales. Given TLG's incapability of producing enough sets to keep up with demand at the moment (and that won't change for at least a year or 2) this will go the same way, they won't be able to keep up with demand, it'll go on back order within a week of being released, and supply will be drip fed in. System scale gunships sell very well, this will be no different. -

If no one is able to inform you of this, best way would be to download the LDD file of it off this sites LDD section, then just highlight the walker and see how many pieces it says is selected. I can't do it right now because am in bed and not near my laptop -
I didnt see this post until now! What an amazing little modification!! The set was already cute enough, but damn, that little gif you made I'll certainly be looking to do your mod to mine too, the extra posing is just too awesome not to!

Excellent work on sussing that out! I was wondering... I'm not well versed in technic parts... Are the black non-wide links the same size connection as those grey tread links? I ask because, I wonder if it's a possibility to alternate a grey and black one, to then use the 2x3 lbg tile to create a more solid ring piece?

I'm half inclined to believe the $800 could simply be a reissue of the MF like the Saturn V had. Otherwise, 3 D2C sets seems rather strange, and seems a coincidence that the $800 is the same price as the 75192... -
Seems I owe you an apology, so, a deeply felt sorry :( Thanks for the heads up

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Fuppylodders replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
How do people normally check the missing pieces/buy bricks section? Do they enter the set number of each set and check manually, or is there a 'browse all parts' section that I'm not aware of that lists all parts in one go? Seems inefficient to have to enter every single set individually :s -
Missing bricks section is for... missing bricks from a new set... An article might recommend the best way to rob a bank, doesn't make it legal...

Excellent review! Nice side by side comparison with the diner model. It would have been nice to have the chrome, but no surprise it wasn't. The number plate numbers, if flipped upside down, represent the word 'LEGO'. Will certainly find an excuse to spend enough to get this, is a pretty decent little build! Glad they kept it close to the original!

Honestly I don't know, not officially discontinued, but it's a scary thought that I guess it could be possible they might not make anymore. Given how they're still struggling to cope with orders and demand, they may just call it a day on those that have had a production run and were released a fair while ago, because otherwise there will just be a massive backlog of sets due to the constant new releases which will also create new demand issues. Theoretically it could take a year before they could get round to doing another production run of 'out of stock' sets if things don't change. -
So... fraudulently...?

Chinese New Year Sets - Rumors and Discussion
Fuppylodders replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Damn, it certainly does! I was ready to pass up on it because its too loose, but that tidies it up a lot more! No idea why I didn't even consider that an option... Sometimes I think too linear :( Now I'll have to seriously consider getting it! How is it the Chinese garden set looks different in each of those pics? It also kind of highlights how the police building doesn't look too great with that very slim green building adjoined on it without another building next to it. -
LEGO's inexplicable design decisions
Fuppylodders replied to AmperZand's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Oh, I'm aware and I do get that, currently I have the recent Christmas train in mind where two 1x2 black bricks were used on a small side build (the bench) instead of a single 1x4 brick where a single 1x4 brick is used later in the build. Just an observation and something I wish I knew why they did that, but, will never know. But I do for the most part understand there are a fair few other factors that may determine extra parts being used where one could suffice. That's an interesting read, certainly wasn't aware there were different heights on the top faces of the tile/plate/jumper plate! Also, apologies, didn't notice your comment saying it was out of date, I was skim reading and missed it
