Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I was out last night so I finally got to watch "Crisis on Naboo" this evening. I have to say it was one of the better episodes of this season and was a satisfying and expected end to this story arc. I really liked Anakin's reaction and conversation that he had with Obi-Wan about the lies of the Jedi. You can see that he has serious doubts about the Jedi. I wish this would have been developed more in Episode III but it is what it is. -
Smaller packaging for Star Wars sets
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The only way LEGO can make this work is to release all the Summer Sets in smaller packaging and switch all the Winter sets to the smaller boxes also. I personally think the smaller packages are a good idea. Unfortunately though, it's too much to ask consumers to read the number of pieces a specific set has before judging it. -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

I missed out too but I'm sure we'll have plenty of pictures to look at really soon. Like the LotR sets, I'm not going to start getting too critical until I see the official and final photos of the new SW sets from LEGO. -
Here's the issue I have. There are more themes and sets that are released by LEGO but the LEGO section at retailers such as Target, Walmart and Toys R Us is still the same size. I believe this has resulted in certain sets that are still in production not being sold in every store. I know they're still available at Shop at Home but I like the option of going to a store and buying the specific set that I want.

I think Ninjago is going to be around for awhile. From what I understand, the cartoon is doing really well and the LEGO sets don't sit on the shelves very long. As long as the cartoon is still on, I would expect LEGO to continue releasing sets.

It's not even having a large amount of product lines. It's having a lot of great product lines running concurrently. I think it's going to force kids/collectors to focus on specific lines. I love and want to buy LEGO Super Heroes but I just can't afford SW, LotR and Super Heroes all at the same time.

To quote Palpatine "I am the Senate!". Mace Windu did what he thought had to be done and brought other Jedi Masters with him. They just underestimated the Sith.

YES! YES! YES! My 7-yo son watched bits and pieces of LotR with me a couple of years ago and one of the few things he remembers of LotR is the Balrog. He even remembered a few details that I had forgotten. Kind of bad when your 7-yo son proves you wrong.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

Home One didn't sell very well and even when LEGO clearanced it on S@H & B&M stores, it took awhile to sell off inventory. I foresee Jabba's Palace overcoming the poor piece/price ratio and selling well regardless. -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

I think Chewie deserves an update. He's going to look very dated next to all the newer/detail-heavy minifigs. If they won't update him, maybe LEGO will make Chewie in the CW style. A Wookies and Trandoshans set would be cool. -
I've been burned out with CMF since series 3. Series 5 is stocked full at a ton of retailers and Series 6 is being released right now. I think LEGO releasing 2 and no more than 3 series a year would be perfect. There will always be a market for CMF and there's no need to pump these out quickly.

@ pranas - Thank you for sharing your find and giving us a glimpse at possible future releases. I can see us revisiting this photo in 5+ years and seeing what actually made it into release.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I too am looking foward to what we'll learn this weekend at the NY Toy Fair. I'm hoping to see more of Jabba's Palace as it looked very good in the Padawan Menace. I know it was all CGI but at least it showed LEGO was already thinking about it. -
Although I was a huge fan of the Marvel Mutant titles, this movie looks pretty interesting. I enjoyed Thor and the Iron Man movies so hopefully the story and action are good.

Thanks for that preview. Hopefully the finale to this arc isn't disappointing. The build-up has been fairly good so far so hopefully this arc end with a bang. I don't see how it couldn't with all the bounty hunters. I'll keep my fingers crossed until I'm watching this on Friday. -

I like how they're developing the distrust of Anakin by the Jedi. This distrust is actually leading Anakin towards the dark side. -
Got my first of hopefully many Roman S6 CMF.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 4 Discussion

I was hoping that Moralo would be left in charge and when the plan fails in the end, he won't be able to pay Cad Bane and Cad Bane takes him out for wasting his time and being unable to pay for his services. I'm curious to see how this plays out. With Cad Bane in charge, it's really his own fault if they don't succeed. The way I see it, Obi-Wan didn't really have a choice but to hit the targets. He had to make sure that the plan would continue. I'm pretty sure that Dooku is suspicious with the story of Rako Hardeen taking out Obi-Wan. I don't know how suspicious he could be though since he has had his way with Obi-Wan in their encounters with one another. On Geonosis, Obi-Wan it was pretty obvious that Dooku was superior to him. -

Here's the partlist that I received from someone. If it wasn't so long ago, I would give the person I received this list from the credit. Malevolence Part List.txt -
Are LEGO 2011 sets' values increasing?
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to Alexgri's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Everybody has been making very strong points. I for one am glad that some people purchase multiples of particular sets. My kids and I are entering our 3rd year of LEGO and there are so many sets that we missed out on. The fun thing for us is trying to find the older/discontinued sets we want at a reasonable price. It's a long process but the bottom line, we set a price for a particular set that we really want and won't spend a penny more for it. If we happen to come across the set at a great price, we pull the trigger and purchase it. We understand that we may never get some of the sets that we want. IBut you know what the great thing is? LEGO is always making new sets so there's always something to buy. -

I was really hoping that the Bounty Hunters would be fighting each other inside the Box instead of just trying to make it through. Even when they began, I was expecting them to be hitting and pushing each other to get the better of each other. It was still an interesting episode. Hopefully the finale of this arc will be worth the wait. -
I feel exactly the same way as you. Eveybody's talking about details that I don't see in any of the pictures. That's why I've chosen to wait until better pics are released. I'm sure by this time next weekend there will be more than enough pics circulating that I'm sure this thread will blow up.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

You need specific SW sets from 2009 to make the Malevolence. I'm pretty sure you don't need all the bricks from these sets but you need some from all to make her. I tried uploading the instructions to this post but I just got the "Error This file was too big to upload" message. If you'd like the instructions, send me a pm with your email address and I'll email them to you. -
What was the last movie you watched?
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Continuing to watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Watched The Two Towers tonight with the kids. I have a very vivid image of Helm's Deep in my head. Can't wait to see better pictures of LEGO's rendition. -
Latest updates on LEGO set sales
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to gylman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
All the stores in my area no longer carry any of the Hoth sets. The Hoth Wampa Cave, Rebel & Empire battle packs, AT-AT are all no longer available at retail. Whatever was left was put on clearance right after the Holidays and are now long gone.
