I just became a seller on Bricklink and have a question for those of you on this forum. When you sell a minifig on Bricklink, are you only responsible for the minifig itself? Example. I sell Clone (sw201). Clone Trooper Clone Wars I'm responsible for only shipping the parts that are listed with this minifigure. I'm not required to send a gun. Minifig, Weapon Gun, Blaster Short (SW) Just wanted to clarify. Thanks in advance for the feedback.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors

Awesome find of the UCS R2-D2. -
In regards to the Battle Packs (BPs), give LEGO a chance to figure things out. I welcome BPs in the LotR line no matter how LEGO decides to release them. I believe LEGO is testing the waters with the two-faction BP. In the past and with the SW line, each BP was a specific side. The 2010 release featured the Rebel and Empire The Empire Empire Strikes Back Hoth BPs. From my experience and with what I've seen, the Empire BPs sold better than the Rebel BPs. In fact, the TRUs in my area that still sell these have a ton of the Rebel BPs left. Either way LEGO does it, there are going to be fans on different side of the fence. Here's how I see it. It's my understanding that the Star Wars BPs were initially created so you can build your army. You can build either side depending on your preference. So if I wanted Clones, I could buy just the Clone BP. I personally prefer the single faction BP because I can army build the side that I want. With the new two-faction BP, I'm forced to have both sides. In the case of the current Clone Wars BPs I still want a ton of Clones but I can now only get them in increments of 2. I like the Commando Droids that are included with this set but I don't want an equal army of Clones and Commando Droids. The Commando Droids are specialized Droids and you never see an army of them in the Clone Wars. Now with the LotR theme my preferences are different. I will welcome and buy a ton of BPs regardless of which faction it is. To me LotR is the theme where I want a large army of both sides. So at this point it doesn't matter to me if LEGO does the single faction or two-faction BPs. I know it's easy to say buy/trade/sell on Bricklink the minifigs and pieces you want and don't want but here's the thing. It's not an inconvenience to me but it's an inconvenience to others. It's an inconvenience to kids (the target group of LEGO) and their parents. The only people that will be doing the whole trading and selling what they don't want are the AFOLs. Bottom line, no matter what format LEGO chooses, not everyone's going to be happy.

Who buys instruction manuals?
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to Arigomi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I personally prefer to have an instruction manual made of paper when I build. I know that sounds weird to some of you that grew up in the "digital age". When my son and I got into LEGO a few years ago, we bought different lots (mutiple sets) and some of them were missing instructions. I tried building a few of the sets using the instructions online and just didn't like the experience. I realized I prefer to look closely at a sheet of paper than zoom in on a computer. As far as buying instruction manuals. I have bought a couple for the right price. I have not nor will I ever pay large amounts of money for an instruction manual. -

Palpatine had extreme foresight. He manipulated a lot of things for a long time. A lot has been mentioned in the past few posts but don't forget that he also planned for a Clone Army. He was truly very patient and understood that he would have to wait patiently to achieve the power that he wanted. -
I think that would be an interesting concept. He would have to be made taller than the average minifigure to look right.

If LEGO were to have a bundle price for the whole summer wave, I'd be all over it. Maybe throw in an exclusive minifigure to entice fans. I know it's wishful thinking but I'm all but certain that I'll be getting all the sets. Having a bundle would seal the deal.

Holy Cow! This wasn't even new in box.

Just to clarify. Are you looking for pics of the inside of the outer wall where the beserker runs in?

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Sir_Basil_Ashton replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Just wanted to voice a concern with the increased detailing in the SW minifigs. All the increased detailing in the minifigs is concerning me. I think printing is one thing but to add all the details in specific molds such as Lando, Gamorrean Guard, Boushh is concerning me. Take a look at a minifig when LEGO SW began and how they looked last year. You can see a very evident difference. Now this year, all these new minifigs are breaking the mold. There is a going to be a huge difference in the look of the minifigs just between last and this year. Look at the Gamorrean Guard, aside from the arms and the legs, it's hard to tell that this a LEGO minifig. Some are already commenting on how the details make the minifigs look like action figures. Does anyone think this is too much? Where are we going to be 3-5 years from now. People are going to be demanding highly detailed minifigs that are going to look less and less like LEGO minifigs. I think this is a dangerous time. When does the detailing become too much? -
Start here and work your way through the "newer" photos. Helm's Deep Interior

I saw this set also earlier last week and noticed the same thing. Made me second guess whether or not it was a Target exclusive.

Your estimates sound about right. I really just want the figs but I know I'm going to end up buying the set since that option will come with the bricks. -

Agree with both of you. I'm surprised that face was approved by anyone. If you were take the head off and put it out by itself, the only way I'd be able to tell it was a woman's head is the red lips. Even then I would think there was something on it. A very hefty price indeed. At that price it's going to translate into very expensive minifigs on the secondary market. That's unfortunate because at this point I'm really only impressed by the minifigs in that set. -

In defense of the "number of guards" that were present, put it this way. They all have their individual area of responsibility. It wouldn't make sense for them to all come rushing in as soon as the attack began. Perimeters would have still had to be maintained and certain VIPs guarded. Take Ahsoka for example, her responsibility was Senator Amidala. It wasn't her job to jump into the battle. -

Not a bad price for Pre-Vizsla's fighter, I was personally expecting a $49.99 or $59.99 price tag. Now only if they'll actually show this ship in action on the CW. It already looks good, would look even better blowing other ships away. -

I noticed that also when looking at the prices. The Fury Class Interceptor has 741-pcs at $89.99. Jabba's Palace has 717-pcs at $??.?? I'm expecting a higher price since we're getting a lot of new minifigs. Also noticed that the 2012 Advent Calendar will retail for $49.99. -
Wow the LotR line is looking really good. It's good to finally see close ups of the sets and minifigs. Now I can really admire this line instead of trying to pick out details from a zoomed in photo.

@ General Magma - The Darth Malgus minifig looks really good to me. The Sith Troopers look a bit awkward. I think it's the way the lower portion of the helmet sticks out just a little too much. On a separate note, I think it's cool that we're getting another Padme minifig and she's wearing her Adventure gear. Not too thrilled with her CW head. *edit* - to quote my daughter "she's ugly". -

Thanks for sharing that link. Jabba's Palace looking better and better everytime I see it. I feel that the minifigs in that set are going to be what sells that set. They're all top notch. Pre Vizsla's fighter looks pretty good based on what I've seen so far. I was expecting/thinking it would look better if the white bricks were light bley. I was kind of hoping to see one of the upcoming UCS sets but oh well. There's enough being revealed here at toy fair to keep me happy. -

Like the way the Sith Troopers look. Wish that pic would have gone a little to the right to show more of the Darth Malgus minifig.
