Thanks AmperZand. Nowadays, I am not able to keep up with all of the releases, but I will do my best to continue working on it, whenever possible. I had placed Speed Gonzales against the BL colour guide. It is very much medium brown when I put it side by side with the BL colour guide on my monitor. If I view it as it is without reference, it is more towards medium nougat. Not sure if it helps.

Hello everyone, The new Star Wars Rogue One and the LEGO sets got me very excited. To conclude my 2016 reviews on Eurobricks, I decided to do this for my last reviewing attempt. This review would count as my third LEGO Rogue One reviews, including my earlier 75153 AT-ST Walker and 75155 Rebel U-wing Fighter. I rarely review relevant sets at one go and this is certainly one of such exceptions. I will do my best not to include any major movie spoilers or plot twist but if you have not watched this movie at all and force-sensitive towards any spoilers, then don't continue reading it. For your information, I am also integrating many supporting references and facts which can be found in the informative DK Star Wars Rogue One (Ultimate Visual Guide). Without further ado, let me bring forth the continued excitement of Rogue One. Movie spoilers ahead (potential), read at your own risk. Name: 75154 TIE Striker Theme: LEGO System / Licensed / Star Wars / Rogue One Year: 2016 Pieces: 543 Minifigs: 4 Price: USD $69.99, GBP 59.99, EURO 69.99, SGD $139.90 Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An original box image of the 75154 TIE Striker Back view of the original box image of the 75154 TIE Striker The latest new LEGO Star Wars Rogue One minifigures addition The unique experimental generation of Empire's combat spacecrafts The Imperial Empire has been secretly developing new TIE (Twin-Ion Engines) and is successful in establishing the TIE Series such as the TIE Fighter and TIE Bomber. In this review, I will be bringing you the latest prototype design of the TIE Striker which is secretly developed by the military design think tank on Scarif. The team is tasked to develop and test next generation of TIE designs and the TIE Striker is one of such experimental designs. The TIE Striker is appearing for the first time in the Star Wars Rogue One series and the first in the Star Wars universe. This Imperial spacecraft was seen briefly in the Battle of Scarif. The TIE Striker is a streamlined variant of the classic TIE Fighter. It is specifically constructed for atmospheric patrols over Imperial ground-based installations and one of such is the Scarif Vault which contain and house the deepest technological secrets of the Empire. Though the TIE Striker is capable of suborbital flight, it is best deployed in low to high atmospheric defence capacity in order to yield the maximum combat capabilities. The content of the sealed box The sealed box comes with five numbered mint packs and are numbered from one to five. The instruction manual and the dreaded sticker sheet which contain the stickered detailing of the TIE Striker are also found in the midst of the content. After the set has been built, these are the remaining spare parts which are spread across the packs. You can view the spare parts for packet 1 including an orange brick separator, packet 2, packet 3, packet 4 and packet 5. There are more new amazing LEGO Rogue One minifigures Let's examine at these minifigures from this third biggest Star Wars Rogue One set which contain a large number of the Empire's personnel and a single member from the Rebel Alliance. From left to right, we have Imperial Shoretrooper, TIE Pilot, Imperial Ground Crew and Rebel Trooper. I am impressed with these four minifigures with their iconic and detailed designs from these selections. Upon removing their helmets and hairpieces, you can see their actual minifigures' facial expression and back view of the minifigures with Rebel Trooper's alternate facial expression. All of the four minifigures are featured with detailed back printing. All of these minifigures are almost unique to this set in the first wave. However, to include the upcoming second wave of Rogue One release, we are able to get more Imperial Shoretroopers and a Jyn Erso in Imperial Ground Crew disguse which can be easily substitute to actual crew member if you get multiples of these 75171 Battle on Scarif. Shoretrooper and Rebel Trooper Imperial Shoretroopers formerly known as coastal defender stormtroopers are specialist elite stormtroopers who are assigned once-beautiful world of Scarif. These troopers lead security patrols, scout the beaches and man the barracks of the Imperial military installation on the planet. Most Imperial Shoretroopers operate at an effective sergeant rank, allowing them to command squads of stormtrooper infantry. Scarif's isolation, and the heavy defence that surrounds it, mean that these troopers do not expect to see combat operations. However, gruesome drills and live-fire exercises keep them in operational readiness for unexpected assaults. Rebel Troopers are entrusted with defence and missions vital to Alliance High Command and this Rebel Trooper is part of the elite Special Forces (SpecForces). The rebel Pathfinders who have infiltrated the grounds on Scarif quickly disappear into the jungle canopy. They are able to conduct wilderness fighting while camouflaged. They take to heart Captain Cassian Andor's orders to make ten men feel like a hundred. TIE Pilot and Imperial Ground Crew TIE Pilots are excellent combat spacefighter pilots who graduated from prestigious flight academies across the galaxy. They undergo rigorous training and testing to become TIE Pilot. The final phase of testing often occurs on board a larger battleship, such as Star Destroyer in order to expose cadets to realistic and relevant surroundings. TIE cadet pilots may also undergo literal trials by fire, plunged into combat situation by forcing them to survive based on whatever means possible. Imperial Ground Support Crew are like the surface air-traffic directing marshal equivalent. These desk technicians wave ships in with luminous traffic wands and eyeball distances without sensors. These technicians wear piloting gear as they are authorised to commander certain vessels in order to steer them into proper positions on landing deck. The determined Rebellion Alliance The loyal Empire Soldiers The entire building content for Packet 1 The completed built for Packet 1 The completed built for the first packet is to form the firm base of the TIE Striker. This packet also include Imperial Ground Crew and TIE Pilot minifigures. The entire building content for Packet 2 The completed built for Packet 2 The completed built of packet 2 is focused mainly on the building of the firm base of the TIE Striker outline for the centre fuselage. The entire building content for Packet 3 The completed built for Packet 3 The third packet focus on the right wing of the TIE Striker and placing it together with the centre fuselage. This packet also include the minifigure of Imperial Shoretrooper and Rebel Trooper. The entire building content for Packet 4 The completed built for Packet 4 The fourth packet focus on the left wing of the TIE Striker and placing it together with the centre fuselage. The entire building content for Packet 5 The completed built of the TIE Striker This is the completed built for the TIE Striker with mixture of grey and black parts which are common among the TIE design colour scheme. This spacecraft measures over 6cm high, 41cm long and 21cm wide. It is highly swooshable without bricks dropping in the midst of swooshing. There are good overall interlocking mechanism for this design through the use of locking and Technic parts together. There are several playing mechanism including the shooting missiles playing feature which can be seen clearly through this close up shot. The TIE Striker is suppose to have a two-seater cockpit for maximum combat efficiency which comprise of a pilot and an optional bombardier or gunner. The larger hull will allow for ordinance payload and increased acceleration and emergency repulsor features. It is basically can be configured into a combat fighter spacecraft or bomber based on the deployment procedures. The next playing mechanism is the opening of the rear storage cabin which can be seen clearly through this close up shot. You can lift the printed circular part and able to see the content of the rear storage cabin which contain a blaster, comms equipment and bincoulars. However, in the actual TIE Striker's design, there is no such rear storage cabin as the rear is the repulsorlift field equipment, computer and engine generator. You can see the full stretch of the centre fuselage which is rather compact and compressed. The small built of the TIE Striker body is needed in order to reduce the overall gravitational weight and is closely modeled against the Geonosian Starfighter technology. The last fun playing feature is the adjustment of wings into attack mode which can be achieved by adjusting the knobs to achieve the TIE Striker attack mode for maximum aerial combat. These are the images of the TIE Striker which can be viewed from the front, side view, back view and bottom view. TIE Striker in attack mode It's unusual for a TIE spacecraft's solar panels to be so articulated. The upwards configuration is meant to maximise VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing) capability, increasing lift for rapid ascent or decent. The horizontal configuration is built for linear velocity, transforming the TIE Striker into a rocket fast dart exceeding speeds of 1,500 kilometres per hour. The TIE Striker is extremely well armed, with a pair of fixed heavier cannons to provide ground support and anti-armour fire. The wing-tip mounted cannons are rapid fire and well designed for aerial combat. These are the images of the TIE Striker in attack mode which can be viewed from the front and side view. TIE Striker preparing for assault deployment TIE Striker Nine, ready for take off Prepare for take off Destroy that TIE Striker at all costs Fun and enjoyable integration of battle experience The new LEGO TIE Striker, AT-ST and Rebel U-wing Fighter together The next Rogue One set is ready to be featured in battle To conclude, this set is quite an interesting TIE design series which is not your regular TIE Fighter which you are familiar with. It's fun to play and swoosh this around but the building experience is quite boring due to the excessive use of Technic parts from within. I had actually played with it and swoosh it around and simulate air assaults. For this set, I actually got two of them to play with. It is a good set to play with and it will certainly be good to have this brand new design in your TIE collection. Summary review Playability: 8/10 (Absolute fun to form your own battle scenes with highly swooshable fun.) Design: 7/10 (Good design, but I wish it can actually incorporate two minifigures instead of one.) Price: 7/10 (Price seems quite reasonable and is priced at somewhere higher mid-tier, but the Singapore SRP is on the high side which is disappointing.) Overall: 7.3/10 (Do absolute get this set especially if you are able to find it at an affordable pricing to complete and form the Battle of Scarif.) I gave it a "4" based on my Review Score Card. I am very pleased to bring you the 32th LEGO IDEAS set since this theme started back in 2012 and we are very glad to see the first ever LEGO 123 Sesame Street being created right into our beloved hobby. Special thanks to TLG and Eurobricks Ambassador, Jim for facilitating this reviewing opportunity for the Eurobricks Community. Without further ado, let me bring you into the world of Sesame Street in LEGO bricks. Name: 21324 LEGO 123 Sesame Street Theme: LEGO IDEAS / Licensed / 123 Sesame Street Year: 2020 Pieces: 1368 Minifigs: 5 minifigures plus 1 character Price: USD $119.99, GBP 109.90, EURO 119.90, SGD NA Resources: Brickset, BrickLink, Brick Insights An original box image of the 21324 LEGO 123 Sesame Street Back view of the original box image of the 21324 LEGO 123 Sesame Street Never in my wildest dream that I could ever see this in an official LEGO set Growing up with Sesame Street in the 1980s was an enjoyable learning educational experience for me when I was a child. I enjoyed many fond memories of the Muppets which featured many short snippets of the scenes among these iconic characters. It brought me joy and laughter and more importantly, seeing all my time favourite Sesame Street character in LEGO minifigure brought me endless smiles. This set was also meant to coincide with 2019 (last year) Sesame Street - Celebrating 50 years of Sesame Street. All thanks to bulldozer aka Ivan Guerrero for achieving this significant milestone of 10k supporters in 2019 through the LEGO IDEAS platform and I am very glad to see this submission eventually being approved by the LEGO reviewing panel. The LEGO Designers - Olle Gregory and Crystal Marie Fontan were in-charge of the designing of this LEGO IDEAS set. I will have to admit that the actual set itself and the project idea submission was very different from one another in terms of the design, size and scalability. The original idea was designed similar to a doll-house playing concept instead of an open-back building for playability. I kind of guessed that the scale had to be pushed to a much smaller built like reducing about 50% amount of bricks to keep the selling price low instead of being aimed and targeted for pure AFOLs who have deep wallets. I have to admit that before I see the actual box in person and I am secretly hoping that it will be similar to the 75827 Firehouse Headquarters or equivalent. I do wonder what is the real consideration behind the change of the IDEAS and if the original supporters will be disappointed with the actual outcome. Some food for thought on this aspect. However, the overall design manage to retain a large portion of the iconic building charm. It also accompanied with revolutionary moulds for these newly created Sesame Street characters. The packets are placed close to the brim of the box Overview of the illustrated built over the 6 milestones (preview) The sealed box came with these building content which is a total of 12 sealed plastic bags. The instruction manual is printed in pristine black and the sticker sheet are kept in this manner. The entire built is divided into 6 significant milestones and it took me about 5 hours to finish building it. The overall pacing for the building experience was enjoyable and there are few occasions where I saw the colour palette shouting at me with Sesame Street colours. After the set was built, these are the remaining spare parts. I am actually surprised that a LEGO IDEAS set actually contained a sticker sheet. If memory serve me right, I believe most of the sets which I have built from LEGO IDEAS actually contained printed parts and I have no recollection to see any stickers application. The amount of stickers is required to create many needed details for some other Sesame Street characters and Easter eggs (bonus) for the fans to discover. I find it is quite a mixed bag of reactions to see so many stickers but I guess it was a necessary move in order to push the cost lower and to have the details included altogether. Bringing the most exciting LEGO Sesame Street Characters Let's take a breath and digest the excitement of seeing these awesome LEGO Sesame Street minifigures. Well, there are actually 5 minifigures and 1 character design in a dustbin, but I still consider him as a character. From (left) to (right), we have Oscar the Grouch, Ernie, Bert, Elmo, Cookie Monster and Big Bird right here in front of our eyes. All of these minifigures are very well-designed with the unique moulds being done for their heads itself. You can see an image of their back view which Ernie and Bert contained back printing at their torsos. Quoting most information from the Muppets Wiki, I have relied it to obtain my understanding on the characters/background descriptions in order to give me a better appreciation of their origins. To be honest, I have always view them as it is and liked them as their characters. Oscar The Grouch is a furry, green Muppet who lives in a trash can on 123 Sesame Street. In fact, Oscar loves trash so much that he's rarely seen outside of his trash can. His mission in life to be as miserable and grouchy as possible and aim to pass that feeling to others as well. In the LEGO minifigure context, he is an interesting design with a new head and a round green minifigure head brick to place within the thrash can. Ernie and his best friend Bert share the apartment at 123 Sesame Street. Together, they form a comical duo, with Ernie acting the role of the naïve trouble-maker and Bert the world-weary foil. Ernie is well known for his fondness for bubble baths with his Rubber Duckie, he is also known for keeping Bert awake at night, for reasons such as wanting to play the drums, wanting to count something (like sheep) or to observe something like a blackout. In stark contrast to Ernie, Bert is a serious, studious, and tries to make sense of his best friend's actions. His own passions include reading Boring Stories, collecting paper clips and bottle caps, consuming oatmeal, and studying pigeons. While Ernie's best companion outside of Bert is Rubber Duckie, Bert has his pet pigeon, Bernice right on the rooftop. The LEGO minifigures for Ernie and Bert are standard torsos with new head moulds. However, the legs used for Ernie is standard short light blue legs, whereas Bert is the new medium short legs in dark green which allow it to bend and sit down. Elmo is one of the most famous character in Sesame Street. He is a furry red Muppet monster in 123 Sesame Street who self-described as three-and-a-half years old, with a high pitched voice and a contagious giggle. Elmo is enthusiastic, friendly and cheerful. However, he sometimes does not have the skills or knowledge to do what he wants. But that never stops him from approaching the challenge because he has a very positive, optimistic view of himself and life. Elmo's best friends are Zoe and Abby, and also his pet goldfish Dorothy. Cookie Monster s a ravenous monster. He is covered with blue fur and possessing a pair of googly eyes, Cookie Monster has an insatiable appetite. As his name implies, his primary craving is cookies, but he can consume anything and everything, from apples and pie to letters, flatware, and hubcaps. When Cookie Monster eats something, he makes a very distinct, loud munching "noise", often interpreted as "OMM-nom-nom-nom..." Both of these LEGO minifigures are very nicely designed in the aspect of the newly moulded minifigures' heads. The downside of these designs are the lack of "fur print" which are visible in the actual designs. This is a little disappointing to me, but is not exactly a show-stopper. The last character is the most iconic character in Sesame Street and is none other than Big Bird. He has been a central key character on Sesame Street since he debuted in the first episode. The big yellow bird can roller skate, ice skate, dance, sing, write poetry, draw and even ride a unicycle . Big Bird lives in a large nest behind 123 Sesame Street and and he has a teddy bear named Radar. Seeing the actual LEGO design for Big Bird, I have to admit it is the most excellent well-designed minifigure ever. The completed mould is very complex and it filled with many small details including the even proportion of the yellow feathers. The texture of the ABS plastic is towards firm and medium soft. It does contain a little sticky on the surface, similar to melted rubber to a smaller extent. I am not exactly sure if this is meant to be the exact outcome, but you might want to pay extra attention to it when you are handling the minifigure itself. My favourite Sesame Street Character - Ernie and he has been part of my journey in my life till now Now, you know who is my favourite Sesame Street Character and it is none other than Ernie. I have the smallest soft toy (from the right) with me for more than a decade and it has remained in my heart in a very special place. I just wanted to share this moment with all of you in this review and you will probably see them in the later part of the review segment too. The entire building content for Packet 1 The completed built for Packet 1 The first packet focused largely on the building of the base of the entire set and it also included Big Bird. When you flip to the base below, you will notice bright set of colours which somehow reminds me of Sesame Street characters like Big Bird and Oscar (yellow and green for example). If you also take a careful look, you will see a spider lurking at the basement of the apartment too. The entire building content for Packet 2 The completed built for Packet 2 The second packet focused largely on the building of the first level of the apartment and it also included Elmo. When you turn to the back of the building, you will notice the built up details of the room interior for Elmo. The entire building content for Packet 3 The completed built for Packet 3 The third packet focused largely on the building of the second level of the apartment and it also included Ernie. When you turn to the back of the building, you will notice the built up details for the second floor of Bert and Ernie room. It also focus on the building of bathtub and the main brick-built entrance at ground level. The entire building content for Packet 4 The completed built for Packet 4 The fourth packet focused largely on the continuation of building the second level of the apartment and the rooftop. This packet also included Bert. When you turn to the back of the building, you will notice the completed interior details of both levels including the rooftop. You can also discover Bernice at the rooftop too, where Bert is keeping it safely. At the end of the fourth stage, the main apartment at 123 Sesame Street is almost 90% complete. Now, onto the remaining last 2 stages. The entire building content for Packet 5 The completed built for Packet 5 The fifth packet focused largely on the building of Hooper's Store at the street corner. The content inside enable the two-level corner store to be fully constructed. This packet also included Cookie Monster. When you turn to the side of the building which focus on Hopper's Store, you will notice the street corner where Hopper Store exist. You can also take a glimpse on both levels of the store which also include Cookie Monster's room. The entire building content for Packet 6 The completed built of 123 Sesame Street layout The last packet focused on the building surroundings which include Big Bird's nest as well. This packet also included Oscar the Grouch. With everything being put together, I am very pleased that the building is completed. The 123 Sesame Street s measured at a height of 24cm high, 35cm length and 20cm wide. The 123 Sesame Street is the most iconic apartment building where the front stairs towards the main entrance is often a frequent gathering place for the main Sesame Street characters. The Hooper's Store is also another significant building structure. The entire layout focused on several play areas and key interiors which filled with many brick-built furniture such as chairs and beds. I am particularly fond of the windows it is just like the actual Sesame Street with the green windows design and in particular showing the windows being lifted upwards instead of showing closed windows. The side of the building also have a nice flower pots outside the apartment and you also noticed a secret stash of milk as well. Then when you enter the apartment building, you will also see the interior of the apartment with a lovely notice board with interesting notes and images. Then, we looked along and peep into Elmo's room where a family portrait with his Dad, a best friends photo, toys (including a train, rocket and bunny plushie) and his goldfish - Dorothy at a quick glance. As we moved upwards and you will see an overview of the second level of the apartment which feature Bert and Ernie's room. You can take a closer look and see their beds being placed side by side and of course, with the paper clips at the top of the bed - you have probably guessed that Bert is sleeping on that bed. I am particularly fond of the colourless print of the tiny Velociraptor dinosaur and the brick-built lamp. You can see Ernie's favourite hangout - bathtub along with his best friend (Rubber Duckie). At the top level which feature the incomplete rooftop, you can see the pigeons which Bert kept and of course, you also notice the mysterious flying object lurking around too. Showcasing Elmo Showcasing Bert and Ernie Showcasing Oscar the Grouch Then as we shift our attention to the front at the junkyard or rubbish chute area, We will see an up close and personal with Oscar the Grouch and his beloved treasured belongings (namely thrashes and a rather special love note). Any idea who is that from? At the side of the rubbish chute area, you can see the entrance of 123 Sesame Street and the iconic stairs. The transparent brick which has a "123" is specially printed, while there is a book on oats which is meant for Bert. The iconic green street lamp also contained printed parts of "123" and "Sesame Street". As you walked towards the side of the apartment, you will see the nest of Big Bird, accompanied with an illustration of tub containing his skates and his teddy bear - Radar. You can see stickered tiles of Mr Hopper with Jim Henson signing off and Big Bird's imaginary friend of Mr Snuffleupaguses which I felt it was a very controversial move in my opinion made by the producer. I personally find the nest a little strange looking but I don't have a better approach on how to best represent it. It took me awhile to realise that was Big Bird's nest after building it. Showcasing Big Bird A closer look at Hooper's Store entrance The next part of the building coverage is onto Hopper's Store, which is the second most iconic place. At the above image, you can see Easter eggs on the stickered newspapers at the side of the entrance. Inside the store, they are many lovely goodies (which are printed tiles). There are customers walking at the front of the store to make their orders and a place for them to dine or have a chat too. You can see the full corner from this image including the lovely flower garden of Abby Cadabby too. At the second level of Hopper's Store, you will have a closer look at Cookie Monster's interior and his comfortable sofa. If you look upwards, you will see a very highly undesired incomplete rooftop which feature an air vent and a bat which I believe is a hint towards Count von Count - a terrible absence among the main cast. Showcasing Cookie Monster Side view of the completed built Back view of the completed built Side view of the completed built Everyone is happy in 123 Sesame Street Another lovely day right here in 123 Sesame Street To conclude, putting all of them into actual perspective, I have to admit this is more of an active playset but towards an incomplete building, especially at Hopper's Store that made me felt disappointed. I love the overall built and appeal of the main apartment and it capture the Sesame Street essence very well but the exposed open-back of the Hopper's Store and incomplete rooftop for both buildings really dampen the entire set appeal. My guess is that the designers are facing a shortage of bricks in order to retain it at a desirable price point when it is out in the commercial market, which is why they had to make their best out of their limited resources. Of course, they may have entirely design it from pure playing experience and having those open-back allow children to access and put the scenes quickly like how Sesame Street short skits are carried out. I was honestly expecting much more in terms of the building completion. Then again, this set is targeted at 18+ and above. So, I am really not sure what is the end-message for this attempt. While, I have been focusing on the incomplete building (minor rant), what could or may have contributed better is the actual inclusion of more characters like perhaps Count von Count and Grover which are very nice additions, but nonetheless the current selection of Sesame Street characters are equally impressive and I have no qualms about it. This is a very highly anticipated LEGO IDEAS set and many of us especially Sesame Street fans will have very high expectation of this set, especially given the original submission was meant to be a much bigger scale and a complete building. While many of us are focusing more of the buildings, I am still impressed that the designers manage to capture the essence and charm of 123 Sesame Street scene and the design of the newly moulded characters are unparalleled especially Big Bird, Bert and Ernie. There are some distinct trade-offs in the end product and I do hope we are able to hear some thoughts from TLG officially especially from the LEGO designers' point of view. It will be very interesting to find out more and allow us to gain better appreciation too. Nonetheless, as a Sesame Street fan, I am still equally elated to see this in LEGO bricks. Thanks! The attraction is definitely the minifigures and yes, 5 new molds is definitely a lot, but I would certainly like to have see a little more characters though. Yes, you are right. Definitely a good IDEAS set for Sesame Street fan, but there are definitely a lot more great IDEAS set too. Instant hit indeed and not exactly very easy to integrate with other sets too as I find it highly specialised. Thank you very much. To some extent, yes it is an expensive minifigure pack but packed with completely new revolution especially Big Bird. Buying the set than BL it, could be a much better choice in terms of value for money. Same era as you. Elmo was just pretty much annoying, but yes being noisy is the road to fame. I don't quite understand on the 18+ and sometimes I am thinking it is not about the built which is complicated, or rather this set appeal can only attract to builders or collectors who are 18+ and above, namely those born before 2002 and probably in the late 1990s who had watched Sesame Street as a child. I am pleased to see another variant Professor Albus Dumbledore with a more regal appearance in this release. He had appeared a total of 7 different variants till this date and in my personal opinion, this is a much nicer design with his red robe and the awesome design of Fawkes which is a steadfast supporter and companion to Dumbledore. Parts assortment The parts assortment are excellent and is one of my favourite. The red phoenix could be easily used in medieval fantasy setting. The torso design and skirt dress can also be customised for other medieval customisation purposes. The wizard hat is combined together with his white hairpiece and it complements pretty well with his white beard. It also include a pair of wand. Different variants of Albus Dumbledore The truly powerful Wizards Meet Fawkes who will help you in your quest Order of the Fabuland 3) Hermione Granger The next in line is Hermione Granger with her casual outfit. She had appeared a total of 19 different variants till this date. She is holding a glass of butterbeer and it is certainly nice to see her winding down away from her books. Parts assortment The parts assortment are average. The new drink accessory is a nice touch but it would be better to have an additional pet accompanying her. It also include a pair of wand. Can I buy a pint for you? 4) Ron Weasley The next minifigure is Ron Weasley in his casual attire, similar to the earlier minifigure. He had appeared a total of 19 different variants till this date. The new drink accessory is similar and there are no other accessories or items to further distinguish between Ron and Hermione. I thought it was a missed chance to make it a little better apart from using the same set of accessories to associate with these two characters. It also include a pair of wand. Different variants of Ron Weasley Best drinking buddies Valet parking 5) Luna Lovegood The next minifigure is also one of my favourite character known as Luna Lovegood. She had appeared a total of 4 different variants till this date. In this design, she was wearing a lion-topped hat to show her support for the Gryffindor Quidditch team whenever they play against the Slytherin Quidditch team. When Luna tapped the hat with her wand, the hat gave out a very loud lion roar. Parts assortment The parts assortment are above average. Luna wears a new headpiece featuring the lion-topped hat. It also include her blond hairpiece which will make her as a regular minifigure. This is a value added feature which help to modify her usage based on the occasions. Her torso design is pretty nice and is a step away from her usual pink. It also include a pair of wand. Different variants of Luna Lovegood Animal Tamer Is there something behind me? 6) Griphook The next minifigure is first of its kind known as Griphook. The goblin - Griphook works in the Gringotts Wizarding Bank in Diagon Alley. If you do not count the other goblins who do not have names inside the 4714 Gringotts Bank and 10217 Diagon Alley Griphook also holds the Sword of Gryffindor which is instrumental for Harry Potter to use the sword to destroy the Horcruxes. Parts assortment The parts assortment are excellent. The goblin is also a fine design with the pointy ears and business corporate attire for the torso and short black legs. He also hold a key to the safe. The sword is actually the main attraction with the hilt and sides embedded with red rubies. This is the first of its kind to see such a very detailed and well designed sword from LEGO. I will be using the sword for my sigfig and I am very glad this minifigure is very common. Unlocking the safe Making a withdrawal Wielding the Sword of Gryffindor 7) Lily Potter This is the first time we have seen an official LEGO minifigure design of Lily Potter, mother of Harry Potter. She was a muggle and attended Hogwarts and subsequently sorted into Gryffindor House. She took part in the First Wizarding War and married to James Potter. She gave up her life in order to protect her infant son - Harry Potter. I am very glad that we have a chance to see how Lily Potter represent in LEGO. Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly above average. The attire is pretty nice and pleasant. The hairpiece also matched closely with her hair colour. The baby piece is the nice addition as I don't recall seeing a fleshie baby. Please do let me know if I have missed out any new "babies" recently. The baby wrap also have a golden "H" on it. You shall not have my child Which owl should I get for you? 8) James Potter It took me a great pleasure to see that we finally see an official LEGO minifigure design of James Potter, father of Harry Potter. He was a pure-blood and attended Hogwarts and subsequently sorted into Gryffindor House. He took part in the First Wizarding War and married to Lily Potter. He was killed by Voldemort in his own residence as he does not have his wand with him to defend himself and his family. I am very glad that we have a chance to see how James Potter represent in LEGO. Parts assortment The parts assortment are above average. The outfit is a pretty standard suit accompanied with a red scarf. I am very fond of the lovely photo of James and Lily Potter in the printed 2x4 tile with golden frame around it. It also include a pair of wand. She had appeared a total of 4 different variants. It is good to see her making an appearance into making this series. She is a pure-blood and lived in the Burrows with his other 6 elder brothers. She Parts assortment The parts assortment are average. It has a nice dress torso which is useful for customising minifigures. She is holding a drink cup with an ice cream topping on it. Different variants of Ginny Weasley Let's visit this shop Magical ride 10) Fred Weasley I am glad to see an updated design of the Weasley twins - Fred Weasley. Till this date, we only have seen this design from the earlier Diagon Alley set in 2011. He is holding the briefcase which is actually a disguise for him to store the bets relating to the Triwizard Tournament. You will probably notice the four names and their odds beneath the briefcase. This is a very unique touch to further diversify his entrepreneurship. Parts assortment The parts assortment are above average. The outfit is much casual with the beanie together and the outfit is tailored for Fred Weasley which is a distinct difference from his twins counterpart - George Weasley. It included the amazing briefcase content which house the two pieces of 1x1 printed tiles of 6 and 3. There are two spare pieces for it as well. It also include a pair of wand. Place your bets Did you take our briefcase? 11) George Weasley I am glad to see an updated design of the Weasley twins - George Weasley. Till this date, we only have seen this design from the earlier Diagon Alley set in 2011. He is holding the Marauder's Map that revealed the Hogwarts compound including secret passages. Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly above average. The outfit is much casual with the beanie together and the outfit (unbuttoned) is tailored for George Weasley which is a distinct difference from his twins counterpart - Fred Weasley. It included the 2x2 printed tile of the Marauders Map. It also include a pair of wand. Which set of twins is our family Help us out 12) Bellatrix Lestrange The next character is an antagonist and is known as Bellatrix Lestrange. She is a powerful pure-blood witch, who have managed to escaped from Azkaban Prison with the assistance of Lord Voldemort. Till this date, she has appeared a total of 2 different variants. I am glad to see a new variant of this character. Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly above average. It include a pair of handcuffs and one of which is a spare. It contained a printed 1x2 tile of her prison plate which she was marked as "Prisoner 93" who is sentenced to life in Azkaban Prison. It also include a pair of wand. Different variants of Bellatrix Lestrange Welcome back Prison Wardens 13) Kingsley Shacklebolt The next character is the first ever appearance of Kingsley Shacklebolt. He is a pure-blood wizard working for the Ministry of Magic as an Auror and was instrumental in the unearthing of Lord Voldemort. His appearance is pretty accurately represented from head to toe in his purple outfit and blue sash. After the defeat of Lord Voldemort, he was named Acting Minister for Magic. Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly above average. It include a blue gown sash (which you must be careful not to cut the packet together with it) and a brown broomstick. I am very fond of his hat. It also include a pair of wand. There is an emergency in Hogwarts Pleased to meet you Strong magic casters 14) Moaning Mytrle The next Hogwarts character is a ghost spirit of Mytrle Warren, but now she is more commonly known as Moaning Mytrle who haunted the second-floor girls' bathroom at Hogwarts. While she was sulking most of the time in the bathroom, she also come into the possession of TMR book which is also known as the Tom Riddle's Diary and is also a piece of Horcrux. Parts assortment The parts assortment are above average. The TMR book is an excellent piece of addition with a new 1x2 printed tile in it. The hairpiece is made up of rubbery material. Get out of here now We will catch you 15) Professor Pomona Sprout I am very pleased to see Professor Pomona Sprout included in this series. So far, we have only seen one design so far and it is timely to see a dated design. She is the Head of Hufflepuff House and Head of the Herbology department at Hogwarts. She is a key figure in the Battle of Hogwarts where she defended against the invaders with the students together. Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly above average. The design is very nicely done with the overall appearance combined with the torso and skirt dress. It include a similar pot of mandrake which we have seen in the earlier series. Now, it is your turn Staff of Hogwarts 16) Neville Longbottom The last minifigure is the unsurprisingly Neville Longbottom in his medium short legs with Hogwarts uniform - Gryffindor. I wonder if TLG have too many spare torsos and legs from the earlier series and it look like an impromptu attempt to form a last minute addition to include Neville Longbottom along with the earlier series. He had appeared a total of 4 different variants till this date. However, this minifigure does come with the new book entitled "The Monster Book of Monster" which is incredibly hard to read as the book will attempt to bite the reader's fingers off. Parts assortment The parts assortment are slightly above average due to the outstanding design of the book with an unique biting cover and printed 1x2 slope brick. It also include a pair of wand. Different variants of Neville Longbottom Students of Hogwarts The LEGO Harry Potter Series 2 will be launching on the 1st September 2020 (worldwide) To conclude, the LEGO Minifigures - Harry Potter Series 2 has continued to impressed many LEGO fans especially fans of Harry Potter. Most of the characters are very welcoming and served to complement the previous Series 1 and the other sets which are released in recent years. I would think this will continue to serve to expand further as new movies on Fantastic Beasts - Where to Find them franchise continue. Time will tell what other excitement will TLG install for us. Dear EB friends, It has been a decade ago since I begin to review LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series (CMFs) in April 2010. My last review on the CMFs was in September 2019, which I had reviewed on Series 19. You may probably have notice that I did not review the recent LEGO CMFs Batman Series 2 and LEGO CMFs Series 20. Well, the truth is EB did not receive a box from TLG for the mentioned series. The details do not matter and life will need to go forward. Times changed. I regret to inform everyone that I will be taking a hiatus on LEGO CMFs reviewing. I will still buy mint box whenever an opportunity arise like my recent purchase of LEGO CMFs Batman Series 2. But, there is no point for me to produce a high quality review when there are plenty other reviews elsewhere where you can read or watch at an instant of a release. I also thought about it of producing backlog review, but I do not find it necessary to do so by re-inventing the wheel. I hope you have enjoyed the good 10 years of LEGO CMFs reviews from me and I hope one day I can come back to entertain all of you once more. Thanks Pandy for sharing this lovely review with us. Excellent coverage and write up. I can imagine the repetitive building process and it can be kind of unfortunate to have an enjoyable building process. However, I do think the outcome of the built is pretty decent especially with the possible configurations. I do think the overall built is only as best if you are able to display it in your home. For me, I don’t wish to punch a hole into the wall to hang it and of course I somehow do wish there is a holder to make it stand upright. That will be much perfect. I still think this might make a good/decent GWP. I might not consider getting it especially if I don’t know what to do with it after building it.

Not entirely yet. I haven’t decided if I will like to do it.

Finally built it and it took me two days to finish the building. Meet my own version of "Diagon Square". Oky, I have only retained two of the three former Diagon Alley buildings which I think it is pretty good for the completed setup. Link to hi-res image.

You are probably right that the royalties on SW could be on the higher end. I didn’t know the free lightsabers were snapped up like in moments. That is a disaster.

Awesome reviewing work. I have really enjoyed reading this reviewing coverage and you have covered it very extensively. This set is simply a hallmark of the Star Wars OT on one of the most iconic setting. I have always enjoyed seeing building and playset being combined together. This is simply a very accurately designed built which definitely should appeal to most fans. My only grip is the expensive price tag and the amount of piece count, where I compare with the recent release of Diagon Alley (which is much value for money). Makoy, thanks for sharing.

Yes, I am going to start exploring on the possibility in the area of display. I will probably not align them along the straight line, but I will love to work something out in my current display. Can't wait to get this started. I just bought them.
