TRAIN TECH Help, General Questions & Talk to the Staff
PFtrainsman replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Thanks for your response and I opologize for not getting back to you sooner. I hadn't looked at the forum lately. I was looking to put pf in the original loco shown on the box. I like the loco in your photo an may try building and powering that loco instead.- 537 replies

TRAIN TECH Help, General Questions & Talk to the Staff
PFtrainsman replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Hi All, has someone successfully added power functions to the hobby train 10183 without major modifications to the loco? Have searched the forum but came up empty. Thought I had seen someone mention they had accomplished this and showed a photo but can't locate the topic or photo. Thanks- 537 replies

Lego electric light bricks use with power functions
PFtrainsman replied to PFtrainsman's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Thanks everyone, your suggestions worked. I now have a Santa Fe loco with working headlight. Sandy -
Hi Lego train enthusiests. My name is Sandy and I live in Central Florida, USA. I've recently converted a Lego Santa Fe loco from 9v to PF. I have a question concerning lighting the loco with a lego electric light brick and using power function cables to power it. I read somewhere where the power function extention cable was backward compatible but I don't see how based on the lego# 8871 cable I have. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and Happy Holidays to all.
