  2. Dear friends, I did a commisionned project again for Damen Shipyard and was given away to their clients Boluda Towage at the Maritime Gala Awards 2022 in Paris last week. Even i don't like the sice of this small scale, the outcome is quit nice. The 2312 ASD Tug is a strange ship and very short in lenght to the width and have a one, dubble drum winch inside the superstructure and in the model are many funy manual working functions. Hope that you like this small models.
  3. I am curious how your lego working place is. Are you working at a desk, or do you build on the ground and how you store your lego. A lot off greetings. Edwin. This is mine lego working space.
  4. @efferman sorry in my mind it was 7 years ago, but 10 years ago to make a Voith Schneider was stunning for these days. @JoKo did a great job and is almost close to a Voith Schneider and works great. I failed in 2013 for the model Staeldiep ferry and was to big to use it. Build 2 models in 2014 later my biggest working Technic model the SL Gabon where almost everthing was work at trusters, working winches ancors lifting, towing pins and radar all remote PF controle also all official Lego lighting and a complete interieur. But you are the master in technic
  5. @GerritvdG You hit almost the jackpot, only forgot the azimuth trusters
  6. Love the way you got the idea after a Voith-Schneider prop system in a small two prop system and it works great in your video. I tried it on a biggers scale on a 8 blade, but was to big, but @efferman build a true working Voith-Schneider some 6 ore 7 years ago Maybe you can ask him how he have done it in full indepandent pitch all the blades
  7. @GerritvdG Do you have find all the manual functions
  8. Thanks all for the great comments @Maaboo35 great to see that you understand my and your joke about the scale. I got hundreds of pictures off the real one and use for here the promo sheet from Damen that small isn't bad. For Lego i hate to build in this scale and like more the scale 1:40, but i am not the client and have to build what the client wanted and hope that the next project will be in the right scale

Great to hear you are back and have missed you my friend
  11. I built these tankers in commission for the Swedish Thun Geos Group and the Dutch MF Shipping Group. They are made in the strange 1:80 scale and green is a drama color for model building to work in and there are only few good usable bricks available, so i had to work arround the parts problems. Unfortunately I also had to spraypaint a number of parts like the riged hose, droid arms and the tile u clips, because the customer really wanted that in green, but not a fan of doing that. The real ship is specially made for tidal harbors and must be able to fall completely dry. It contains approximately 24000 parts per model. Hope you like it.
  12. Your are correct @Doug72 and the lifeboat is missing, because the deadline was to close. Only 3 hours before complete the model i had the delivery and will send them later to the client.
  13. Thanks @Pato Sentado It's looks good, but unfortunaletly mine client's only wanted that i work with LEGO®. I don't know this brand, but know that COBI have many more bricks tiles, slopes, curved slopes, plates, and are way better than LEGO® have and the qualty is great. The only problem is i can't work with clone brands even they are good ore even better.
  14. @Pato Sentado What is TENTE?! to make better ship hules.
  15. Thank you Milan for your reaction and happy we got people here can sorted thinks out on adult way by ourselfs.

    Absolute stunning lovely
  17. @Pato SentadoThanks, but can you tell me, how and what is TENTE ?!
  18. This is why i love posting here on EB and been back to the Technic and scaled model forum that we can discus items that i don't get on other social media forum like FB. Yes it's a very short ship in real and is only 80 meters long and for me is a meter long model also a small model and hate to build in scale 1:80, but i have to work with what the client wanted and that's the downsite of being a professional builder. I am glad what you wrote to me and can discus it at a normaal way @nerdsforprez
  19. Thanks @nerdsforprez and i read all the replies and also the feedbacks from everybody, good ore bad and we are all adults and can discus at a normal way that. My point was your openings line that the dimensions where way off and that's make me pissed off, because i always work with the GA plans in the correct scale and can build it within the mm. You can dislike ore like my style and discus some points that are incorrect in this build and is complete fine and is also the reason why i post it here to get feedback from other great builders and not post it to make some promotions, because i don't need that. Maybe whe can start allover and make a fresh start the next time.
  20. Great that you saw it, their is a color scheme on this models for all the pipelines and the walkways, ext, ext. At the scale 1:80 is way to smal to make all the details and less is better in my mind.
  21. Yahhh @nerdsforprez How must i react at a great builder like you with tons of creations. It's simple for me F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! off. The dimensions sice are spot on to the mm, but as every builder knows you have make some compromise with LEGO. I even don't like this small scale, but that's the client choice. I build over the printed scale drawings and if you don't like it it;s your problem. For me the clients word is way more important than your whining. And if you think that i have to make promotion here ore on FB for my work, i can only laugh at you and booked fully for next year.
  22. Thank you @LEGO Train 12 Volts for your reply, but this build was not funny at all . Normal i build twice the sice in scale 1:40. For this model was less details, where better. Don't wanted more builds in green.
  23. Thanks Jim you did not deleting the topic. You both have got a good point there and try also to be innovate and creative and use many different styles where clients can choose at. They pay the bills and it's their party, not what i wanted to build and have also a deadline, budget and ext, ext. Because this project started in January this year and have to work with avaible parts on BL and the client love this style for 4 models and because they also wanted to see the flat bodems of the ships i can't use the Titanic style and is also not innovate and to say it's nicely LEGO borrow the style form COBI Bricks. They also can get let makes specific parts and i have to wait a year that some parts are avaible on BL. Also i don't like the plated bodem like the Titanic have for this models, because their is a mirror base under the models. Yes i know you can lift up the Titanic in one piece, but you seen that their is a lot of stress on the bricks. I must send my models all arround the globe and also my clients wanted to move it by their self for set it in a other room ore take it to some exhibitions and have to build real strong without any glue and building big with bricks you got a lot of tension in the hull structure.
