Hmm...looking at the party list for Quest 17...why do I get the feeling we're going to get unwillingly split into two parties, the newbies and the vets? And us newbs are going to have to face the harder foes?

My opinion on that is, "If you mostly like the set but don't like one feature of it, it's time to customize the build. If you're unwilling to customize the build...then why are you playing with LEGO?!" *note that I said "unwilling, if you're unable (due to no funds, limited parts supply, etc., then it's understandable. The scythe is actually why I gave the snake mech another look, and now that I have I'm totally getting it. Even though I like lightning (as an element) a little better, Zane is quickly becoming my favorite ninja because he keeps coming in cheap sets that are nonetheless packed with awesome. Ice Dragon Attack. Venomari Shrine. 'Nuff said.

Besides, wouldn't Sandy have to authorize loot in the hall? (That's why I didn't add anything to my inventory in my sig.)

Neither does the Rattlecopter, but that's the only set with the Constrictai staff. so, $120 (including all 3 spinners, not counting the Venomari Shrine since I already have it)? Let's see, that'd be 12 weeks for me, assuming I don't miss a week. Not bad, but I may just hold off on the staves until summer, see if there's anything decent by that point. I'll probably grab $50 worth in January for the special deal, hmm, how can I get the most for my money, I wonder...? Calculating... (I'll edit my post when I'm done...) EDIT: Let's see, if I get Kai's Blade Cycle (Kai ZX + Hypnobrai Staff) and the Rattlecopter (Constrictai Staff + Lloyd as a bonus), that'll add up to $45...if the spinner Starter Set (with Cole ZX) is out, it'll probably be enough to push it over $50 and get me the Kendo Jay pack. Then, later in the year, I'll get the Fangpyre Truck for Jay ZX and the Fangpyre staff, and the Snake Mech just for fun. Perfect! Or, I could get the first two and then a few Collectible minis...hmm, tough choices!

Considering you're Level 14 and I'm just Level 1 (and most of the challenges will be catered to the high-levels), I'm not expecting a walk in the park. And hey, wouldn't Althior go easier on a fellow Mage? Especially one that managed to take down a Barbarian eight levels higher than him...

I hope it opens before the Quest leaves! Well, if it doesn't, I'm sure Brickdoctor will find a way to sneak in a few festive items.

Earlier today, I kept trying to post in the Heroica Hall topic, and the site kept timing out when I tried to post. It works now, but... (This lasted throughout the 11:00 AM hour California time, don't know when that would be for the servers.)

"I've read through all of the Quests up to Quest 9, except for Quest 8, since the book wasn't there yet.. I think that one's still in progress. I've tried to scry on some of the other ongoing Quests, but I haven't been able to get a clear view of things. Perhaps I'll have more success once I gain more experience--after all, I wasn't a Mage until quite recently, I only took this path when my people figured out I could use Ether." Arthur nods. "Wise words. I must say, the record of your Quest was quite informative, but hearing it in person...I can start to understand better what happened. I must confess, I am a little curious of your opinion...do you think there could be some members of the Shadeaux or the Hinckwells who ARE trustworthy?" OOC: Sorry for the late reply, I'm having issues accessing the site (it keeps timing out when I try to post)

I'm going to go with the Genie. I have plans for him, oh, yes... I have to get the Space Girl to go with the Series 1 Spaceman I picked up from the Lego store build-a-mini (seriously, why are they putting Series 1 parts in there? Not that I'm complaining. ). I also MUST get Lady Liberty, but I also want the Toy Robot and the Alien and the Surgeon...and of course the Skater Girl for that special hairpiece (which reminds me, I REALLY need to pick up a Narcissa Malfoy mini before I forget and the sets sell out...) Aah, and I must hold out so I have cash for an army of Series 7 Space Marauders...! EDIT: You say that as if you don't want them...if you don't, would you give them to me?

If you get around to hosting and I end up on the Quest, you'll have to put double effort into hiding those details, I tend to pick up on them more easily than most. TV Tropes will ruin your life.
