I think once we actually get moving, things'll get better...so long as Spag manages to keep his mouth shut around Althior." And me. Arthur frowned, and downed an ale. The patron it actually belonged to frowned and signalled Schezerade to bring him another. "I don't know what it is about that Grumpkin, but man does he get on my nerves." Just as the orc bartender sets down the other man's drink, Arthur reaches out and picks it up, still looking at William. "I've never met a Grumpkin in person before, are they all that...irritating?" A man sitting at a table across the way sees the man next to Arthur grow redder and redder. He gets up and brings his just-delivered drink over, but right at that moment Arthur leans back in his seat and... *CRASH!* "Oh, sorry sir, it's this blasted staff--" "GREAAAAAAUGH!!!!" The man next to Arthur, now wearing the contents of the other man's glass, jumps up and storms out of the bar. His would-be friend chases after him, presumably to calm him down. Arthur returns his attention to William. "Man, what's his problem?"

I think Brickdoctor was secretly trying to wait until you got off your Quest so Lawrence could be our Knight. Ah, well, we got three mages with us, so if we can't handle something magical it's not my fault.

-==IC: Arthur==- Arthur walks over to his Party Leader. "What do you think about darkness, sir?" "Huh??" "My next gemstone. I'm thinking I should choose a gem of Darkness, so I can help with things other than beasts. What do you think?"

"Oh, that's right, Benji was busy yelling at Althior. Sorry, William."

Why have I never heard of this before?! I never miss finding out about new pieces! Thanks for the help.

OOC: Arthur picked De'kra up. -==IC: Arthur==- "I'm...not sure. Benji said something, and then these weird eyes appeared on you--I assume they were eyes, they looked just like the ones you're looking at me with right now--anyhow, and then you started clicking and...clanking, almost. I think you were saying one word, or one phrase, over and over again. I don't know why you would have gotten hurt, but..." Arthur realizes De'kra might not want to be held, and he gingerly sets the shade down. "Maybe you should see a cleric. I heard that one, Ellaria, recently got back from a Quest, perhaps you should see if she could help? Too bad Cinna is still away, I bet with her darkness magic, she could heal you right up." Arthur looks at De'kra, concerned. "Are you sure you're OK?"

Fix'd. (Get it, because it's almost 2012...eh, nevermind. ) Arthur picked De'kra up, to carry him to a cleric. EDIT: Hey, Sandy, where is the Cursed Idol item from?

-==IC: Arthur==- Arthur was concerned. He hadn't intended his jesting poke at Spag to go so far, but it seemed to have affected him rather deeply. Good, he thought. Maybe now the thing'll think before he acts, for once in his life. Arthur wondered what it was about the Grumpkin that irked him so, but he didn't have time to ponder it. Arthur runs to De'kra, and scoops him up in his arms. Surprisingly, the diminuitive shade had quite a bit of weight to him. He wondered if it was a side effect of whatever was happening to the shade. "CLERIC!!!" he yells.

...You mean she's a QM? *Dodges thrown vegetables*

"Yep. And they send them out in front of them for battle, perhaps a dozen chickens for every Brobric Elf..." Arthur was hoping this would scare some seriousness into Spag, but it clearly didn't seem to be working. In fact, it just seemed to be making things worse...

Heh, we were just having this conversation about Althior and Atramor (and Arthur as well). I guess everyone decided to start yelling at each other at once. After having typed those three names into this reply, Althior and Atramor must now Quest together at some point in the future, just to mess with the QM. Preferably with Arasmyth and Arthur as well. Any other A-names want to join?

Zepher, I have to ask, is Wren the only person you have planned to mess around with chaos? Because, like I PM'd you a while back, I have ideas. I'm taking all the ideas I get and stewing them together, changing them just a bit so they don't conflict with certain Quests and tie in to others. When I finish writing my Quest, I want it to touch many of the others in little ways, while still having a flavor all its own. Perhaps it's my experience from weaving together 15+ different PCG stories into a single, (mostly) cohesive canon, but it's a style I really like. The downside is, I have to run little tie-in ideas past current and former Quest Masters in order to make sure I don't counteract anything in their stories/plans, but I want to do so in a way that doesn't "spoil" it for them in case they end up playing the Quest. (Sandy is the exception, for obvious reasons, but even then I'll try to keep some things a surprise in case Ellaria comes along for the ride.)

Likewise, a fair number of humans should NOT be considered sapient.

You know, to some people, this would be a sign of sociopathy. To roleplayers, it's par for the course.

Sorry, that's a lie... Oh, come on, you were all thinking it...

...does that include me? Yeah, I have a tendency to either hint so lightly at backstory that no one picks it up, or else I end up with an infodump. I'll try and balance it out a little more, and if this Quest turns out anything like Althior is suggesting, it'll probably make Arthur clam up a bit. Well, some people don't understand, especially when they're new to roleplaying, so it's better to be safe than sorry. When I first started RP'ing, I dropped out of an awesome Star Wars RPG once in part because I mistook one player's jerkish words and actions to be coming from the player rather than fom his (dark side) character. Like I said, better safe than sorry.

OOC: Again, my character saying this, not me, I'm loving the characterizations.

The Ji Pei and the Wolfgang are a total blank for me (well, except the Ji Pei on the far left--oddly enough, I've gotten all the parts to build him within the exact timeframe that the Heroica RPG has been active ). (I do recognize Ogel's face on Steerpike as well, but not the rest of him). I have most of the Zegfried faces aside from Zelda (where is that from?), but I have no idea where I'd find the clothes (aside from Sprout's stuff on...I believe that's Mabel, right?). I'm also at a loss for Nuitan Shadeaux's face and shirt, Belannotte's hair, Umbra's face, and Noctus' clothing (both shirt and pants). I plan on making a Bricklink order in the relatively near future so I can build all of the major NPCs and as many Heroes as I possibly can (as well as whatever I need for scenes, etc.). EDIT: I'd also love to know where all those shields are from, I've never seen any of them except the Shadeaux emblem, and then only on the "oval" version of the shield.

Wow, Sandy, I didn't even see those pics at first! (Fail computer, I have to go to lengths to see most pics. ) Any chance someone coulf give me Bricklink links for a parts list for them?
