How many Clone Wars clones do you have?

You know, I actually wanted to get some minifigs from sets I can't afford this way, but I wanted to pay for them. Then, I figured out that if you try to order whole figs at once, they want you to provide a Proof of Purchase code from the front of the manual. I never even knew they were there, till I looked on one of my manuals. Its a long digit-only code, printed in white, extremely small, on the bottom of the front page of the manual. I don't think it was dishonest if TLC was stupid enough to send him the parts without a bill. That actuall happened to me once with some Bionicle parts I wanted extra of. I got the price in an email, decided it wasn't worth it, then two weeks later, I got a little padded envelope in the mail, and lo and behold, TLC had sent me the parts on accident. I guess every once in a while, these things slip through. DSR
  2. Hey guys, This is my first shot at a quick diorama. I put it together with some spare parts I had, then dissasembled it because I needed the parts for a MOC i'm working on. So, without further adieu, the Empire disposing of some megablocks on the Death Star. I tried to do the background with just a few parts. An overview. Black R2 unit FTW!!!! "Think stealth, you are not carrying a missle on your back, no one notices you...." "Move along. Nothing to see here. Official Imperial business. Move along." See anyone ususual? A cameo appearance! Jessa, from my comics. Guess who! Even Darth Vader, the most bad-megablocks villain ever, despises Megablocks! Just how DV and Tarkinn are held in place. I have the rest of DV, but it was easier to place him this way. One more shot. Just shows the Stormtrooper taking out the trash, smashing it in with a megablock. Anyway, hope you liked my first diorama! I know, I really need to find a better place to take my pics. Look for another diorama from me soon! Next time, something desert-y. Need to use that new baseplate for something! DSR

[Comic] Even the Empire hates Megablocks

Yeah, megabloks usually takes the general idea of something that's selling good and makes a cheap, crappy version. Also, double post. C&C always welcome! DSR

The what I did today thread ......

That really sucks. Can't say I haven't been there. Keep at it, find a new fish! Yeah, don't do that. Never a good idea, trust me. Well, on topic, I got some more legos from my friend, and he bought Star Wars: KOTOR I for Xbox, but he wouldn't let me play it. I'm gonna by it off him anyway as soon as I get money. DSR

    2008 Picture thread

I really like all the new sets, actually. Clone BP- I'm not really a big fan of chicken-walkers, but I have to say, this beats the crap out of the speeder from the original BP. Plus, Commander armor, which I have yet to get. And, 4 clones! YAAAAAAY!!!!! Assassin Droid BP- Not sure about the speeder, but, it has some dark blue parts, which makes it good in my book! 5 blasters, yay! and, the whole point of the pack, 5 IG-86's! And two are black, cool. Hyena Bomber- I actually really like this set. Plus the droids are awesome! AAT- Simply beautiful! Dark blue FTW! Plus a bonus clone and Yoda remake to boot! TIE Advanced- Not really different than the old one, except gray instead of blue. I might get it for parts and DV, though. Republic Attack Shuttle- This is just, awesome! Dark red is the best color IMO. I will finally be able to get a non-LUL Mace Windu, hooray! Just my few cents. DSR

    Z95 Headhunter MOC

I like this quite a lot, actually. The color scheme is especially creative, and uses a difficult and rare color. My one tip would be stop using imageshack, too many popups and not as great of service as sites like Flickr. Actually, I highly reccomend using flickr, and brickshelf.com for deeplinking. That's what I use (most likely cuz I don't know how to deeplink flickr images. ) DSR

    Does anyone else...

Yeah, if I want to spend over 50 USD for a non-LUL. Seriously, look.
  11. Dark Sword Ragnarok

    Does anyone else...

No, I just don't want them... All I need is a Mace, preferrably not a LUL. If there was a non-LUL Luminara, I would get her in a heartbeat!
  12. Dark Sword Ragnarok

Whoops, there's SNOT dripping off my nose!

So, is this like, an open-docking kind of ship? It looks like a small fighter could fly in and dock that way. Or maybe it just isn't finished. Personnally, I like the first dosign's command Bridge, it reminds me of a freighter starship.

    Does anyone else...

Well, I recently got a LUL Luminara from a friend, and I love it! If only she came in a non-LUL version, but meh. I also got a LUL Vader, but the battery is out. My friend said if he found another Vader, he'd let me swap them. Now, all I need is a Mace Windu... DSR

The what I did today thread ......

Well, spent the night at a friend's house, played some Halo 3 and Rainbow Six Vegas 2. He got an iPhone, and he offered me his Palm Centro, but I gave it back after a few hours of use. I'd rather stick to my Motorola Slvr, something I'm used to. Went to see the Mummy 3 originally, but I decided since I hadn't seen the first two, we should see something else. So, we saw Stepbrothers with Will Ferrel instead. A lot of cussing, and a scene in which you see Will's, well, sack on a drum set. It was gross, you'd have to see the movie to know why he did it. Since I bought his brother a slushie at the theatre, when we got home, he gave me a bunch of stuff from his lego bin. LUL Luminara , Wookie Cheiftan, Yoda, Ep. III Obi Wan (without hairpiece ), a stormtrooper, black R2-unit, Ep. III Anakin, Grand Moff Tarkin, and some parts from the Millenium Falcon and Star Destroyer, and a few extra parts. He was supposed to give me his LUL and regular Darth Vader, but he couldn't find either. I guess me and Darthy just aren't ment to be. I was going to take his Jango Fett instead of Tarkin, but his arms and head were so loose it wasn't even funny, Not to mention his face was almost completely worn off. Plus, my grandmother just returned from a trip to her old house (My uncle rents it from her now) and she brought home all my uncle's old legos! There might not be much left, because she let all the kids who played with them take what they built home. But, hey, free classic legos! I'm hoping for some old Space figs! All in all, a pretty good day. Now, to wait for my BL order to arrive! DSR

    Triple Threat!

This is great, Rook! I love the Jedi and the yellow/black Droideka! It's like a wasp. Also, nice dragonish creature, Dragonator will love that! And, are those zombie troops, or some kind of skeletal alien? Quite a bit of room in there, too! DSR

    Jack's Trip to England

Hey guys, back again with a new comic! This time around, Jack recalls his trip to England that made him hate Brits so much. No, it probably won't make any sense, but who cares! A lot of the comedy in this one is based on the Billygoat Caller movie on youtube, by Dom Fera, the creator of the Lazer collection. (a shoop da whoop video) If you don't understand the comic, search the billygoat caller on youtube and watch parts 1,2 and 3 of Billygoat Caller:The Movie (slight language, just a warning). Then, it will hopefully make some sense to you. Anyway, let's get started! Characters: Jack (J) Jessa (JE) Two-fourteen (214) Mystery Character (M) Republic Base:Blaster Training area. Three days since the Mysterious Sith warrior attack J: Great training session, guys. 214: Hey Jack, can I ask you something? J: Sure, what is it? 214: Well, when we first met, Adam said you had a bad experience in England. What happened? J: Well, it's kind of hard to say, but fine, I'll tell you. It all started when I went to a club in London, on my trip to England right before the War started... J: I was enjoying a nice, exotic tea, when all of a sudden... M: Billygoat. J: Ah, Holy God! J: That was weird, oh well. M: Enjoying your tea? J: Ah, who's there!?! J: "So, I gulped down the rest of the tea and left." M: Billygoat. J: " I had no idea what was happening, I figured the drink was spiked or something, but..." J: "For days, I kept hearing it.... Billygoat....I'm going to eat your toes while you're sleeping!..." J: "But everytime I looked, there wasn't anyone there." J: Eventually, I snapped. I took the next ship out of England, and I've never been back since. 214: Whoah, that...actually makes sense... it's crazy, but... I get it now. Sort of. Je: Jack, that's just stupid. It makes no sense at all! J: Aw, whatever. Let's go to the Rec Room and relax. Je: You know, your story is really stupid. What are the chances of something like that happening? Je: Ah! You know what, Jessa.... J: What the.... 214: Dude, that sucks. J: Oh, son of a... EXTRAS Well, there's only one, really. GROUP SHOT! Hope you guys enjoyed this one! DSR

    Jack's Trip to England

Well, it's hard to recreate England in the future (well, technically the past, but whatever) without ever have been there at all, if you kow what I mean. Anyway, this comic was just something to do between comics, sort of. And I needed to get Jessa captured somehow, that'll come in later. DSR

    Comic Characters

Oh, well then... it souded like you were trying to be funny, you know, because Imperious sounds like "imperial".... I shall consider it! (along with the others). By the way, i'm still taking ideas. I want something that sounds really cool when someone says it without saying "Darth" first. Like "Imperious!" or something. You know, that actually does sound kind of nice...Decisions, decisions! Well, it will be a while till he comes back, so plenty of time to think! DSR

    Comic Characters

Hey, I'm sure a majority of you have seen my Star Wars comics( If not, scroll to the bottom of my post and click the links in my sig). I just wanted to share the main and recurring characters here, in a different thread. First off is Jack Sisco, my SigFig: Mostly serious, he is an Ace Pilot and amazing in battle. He is equipped with Shock Trooper armor, a HUD, intercom system, blaster pistol and Lightsaber. Also a Jedi, he utilizes the force in battle and is used to quadruple-tasking in battle: Commanding Clone Troopers, aiming his blaster pistol, parrying blasts with his saber, and crushing close droids with the force. A few more pics: The custom blaster pistol: Jessa: Timid, but has a short attention span when it comes to training. She craves adrenaline, and loves to fight. Nieve. She has a lot of potential as a Jedi, but hates training with the force, because it takes so much concentration and is very dull. She is equiped with an intercom system, a blaster, and a Lightsaber. Se keeps some things in her knapsack. No one knows what's really in there but her. 214 (Two-Fourteen): An amazing clone pilot, he joined Jack's party at the same time Jessa did. He currently replaces Jack's personal Clone Squad, because there currently aren't enouugh Elite Clone Troopers to satisfy his needs in battle. His piloting skills are top notch, and he can pilot almost any vehicle, land, sea, sky, or space. He is also the single British Clone. He loves tea. Most people think it's strange, and that usually angers him. (see my first comic) Magna Guards: Regular Chaingun Version Not much to say there. (as of now) Nameless figure: Not much is known about him, not even his name. He wields two conjoining Lightsabers. If you can think of a name for the Nameless figure (ie: Darth "Enter name here"), post it! He needs a cool Sith name! Single Saber Wha... lightning? Yup, withought a lightsaber, this pretty much kills you. Jack and Jessa in battle: After he discovered he could create an energy shield with the force. Maybe he'll discover more Force Powers? And the final one: A droid! This little guy doesn't even hav a name, poor fellow. Thats it for now! Remember, if you can think of a name for the Nameless figure (ie: Darth "Enter name here"), post it! He needs a cool Sith name! DSR

    2008 Picture thread

Well, maybe you don't remember, but in the HP sets, don't remember what year, there was a set with just Hermione and two Diagon Alley shops (basically two 8x8 plates, with a rack of lightsaber blades for "desighner wands" and a drawer with a frog) if I remember right. It also had a cardboard cutout of the walls of the shops. Quite an uneventful set, but it had Hermione with civilian clothes. So, if Lego can't find a way to sneak Padme and C3P0 into a set, her apartment would be a perfect solution. Plus, Hasbro can't get on Lego about having figure packs for SW. Win win situation in my eyes. DSR

    Which set should I buy?

    7673 Magna Guard Starfighter Review

Time for my first review! 7673 MagnaGuard Starfighter Peices: 431 # of figs: 2 Price: 44.99 USD THE BOX: Pretty decent size box for the price. MagnaGuards: The Normal Box Stuff: Front of the ship: Back: Open Cockpit: Back of the Box: Contents: DSS (dreaded sticker sheet): First Manual Page (because it's super important not to build on carpet. ) Fig Build: The Magna Guard Head: (IMO it's beautiful! ) The Purple Cone! Cape Box: The Capes!: Just One: The MagnaGuard: Back: The Parts (nicely sorted!) The new Windshield Piece (Beautiful!) The First Step: Seccond Step: More Steps Of The Main Body: The Wing Assembly: (Sorry for the blur) Attached: Opposite Wing: Both Attached: Rear Engine Build: The Staffs. I have mine set up differently than in the instructions. I put one cone over the hump on one end of the staff, and the other in the original spot. Then, to load them onto the fighter, all you do is push the original placed cone down and put it right in. This way, the staff looks better and it works the same! See? It slides right in: Skeletal parts of sides attached: Close Up: Bottom: Both Wings Attached: Hidden Missle Launcher: Raised Up: Another Shot: Staffs Attached: Complete: Side Panel: Side Pods: Complete: Swooshable!: Finished!: Time to complete: >2hrs. Okay, Overall rating time! PRICE: 9/10- Could have been 40.00 USD, but due to new molds, this is understandable. PARTS: 9/10- Could have hade more Dark Red, but thats IMO. Plus, I love Dark Red! BUILD TIME: 8/10- I took my time on this and enjoyed the techniques the designers intricated. Also, taking pics added to the time quite a bit. PLAYABILITY: 7/10- The main playability functions are the missle launchers in the back and the sliding cockpit. My only gripe with these is they don't set right with the other slopes on the top. Also, the inside of the cockpit is easily modded for regular size minifigs. Just pop a handlebar piece in the already provided arm in the cockpit and bam, your favorite figs can have a ride! It also helps keep the Magnaguards in place if they hold it. MINIFIGS: 10/10- IMO, the new molds are great! The only downfall is the right arm on both is less moveable due to the hard plastic turban-thing connected to the head. SWOOSHABILITY: 9/10- The starfighter is pretty sleek, and very swooshable! DESIGN: 9/10- The most important aspect, and this one's a winner! It's only a nine because it needs to have smoother edges in a few spots, but they are easily MODable. OVERALL SCORE: 8.7! I think it's an awesome set. Very satisfying! 2008 SW ON! DSR DSR

    The Batpod

Wow, this is really good, Fat Tony! If the wheels were a size bigger, it would be just about perfect! I especially like the size of the Batpod compared to the minifig. Compared to the others, your Batpod fits a minifig the best! DSR
