Awesome custom Republic Gunship for sale

Like what? I just made it up to go along with everyone else. None of it is true. What exactly was offending? The redneck part? Or the kid's building skills? DSR -
Awesome custom Republic Gunship for sale
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Pineapple's topic in LEGO Star Wars
What probably went on was this kid needed 80 bucks for a game system or big toy or something (maybe even a pet?) and his parent's either wouldn't give him the money or wouldn't buy it for him. The parents probably told him if he wants such an expensive toy, to sell some of his old ones first. Unfortunately, the boy is no longer interested in his legos (poor soul) and rushes to his room. He has seen all the Star Wars movies and has just recently seen the preview for the Clone Wars movie. He decided the RGS is the coolest thing he saw in Star Wars, and began to build. From the looks of it, he has used parts from the Droid and Clone Battle Packs and one of those brick buckets from TRU. He attempted to throw together a ship based on the RGS and this is the Bantha Poodoo that came out. He rushed downstairs exitedly and showed his parents what he had built. He made his dad take a digital picture of it and put it on the computer. He then told his dad to "sell it on the computer" and went to bed. Assuming his son wanted the full 80 bucks for it, he posted it on Craigslist. Seeing as how the best creation he's seen in his life is a multicolored skyscraper 2 feet tall, he saw it as a work of art, hence "good deal!" and "selling a republic gunship i built my self and i dont need it anymore." Also, considering he spelled "bored" and "myself" wrong, and used commas instead of dash's in between his phone numbers, this is most likely a redneck family. To make sure, I dare one of you who lives in the area or has unlimited long distance calls to call the number and inquire about this "work of art". Wow, that took a while! DSR -
Hey guys. Couldn't find a thread for this, so I figured I'd make one. I'll start off. Jesus could walk on water, but only Chuck Norris can swim through land. DSR

The straight section is five studs long. The whole thing is 8 studs long. Hope this helps. DSR -
Hey all, I recently came across a few old figs ( the ones with the smaller cross on the bottom of the torso), and I've heard you can use them for a few different arm tecniques. The only one I know of is pushing one of the horn peices (Example. You should see the horn part i'm talking about.) What I want to know is if there are any other tecniques for using the old torsos? I'm trying to make a cyborg Sith character, and I figure that I can use one of the black torsos I found. Any help would be appreciated! DSR

Your loss, IMO. I think TLC nailed this one. Great SNOT techniques, and great figs! DSR -
Sounds like some great sets! Also, your username is spelled wrong. It's Ahsoka, not Ashoka. Common mistake. DSR

Hey all, I was thinking about the upcoming Clone Wars sets, and I wondered if TRU and the other stores will take down their old Star Wars display models to set up the Clone Wars models. Anyway, what I was wondering was, what do the stores do with the old display models? They can't sell them, right? I've heard a few stories of members getting some display models free from Lego stores in the Sales and Deals forum. Does TRU and the other retaileds do the same thing, just give them away? Do they keep them in the back? Or maybe they give them to the employees? The reason I'm interested is because my local TRU has many Star Wars displays, many of them expensive sets. The glue that they use to hold the models to the display looks like simple hot glue, easily removed with a knife, I think. So, in a nutshell, these are my main questions. 1. Will my TRU give me the display models if I ask a manager? 2. Do they glue every brick together on the models, or just the model to the display case? 3. Will the glue come off easily? 4. Do you think they will dump the old models for the Clone Wars ones? 5. Will the bricks and figs be good as new when the glue is removed? Thanks in advance, DSR

Has anyone bought from either Hogtown Brickyard or the NERDS Shop? I'm mainly interested for their sets without figs, they are much cheaper and I only want vehicles. DSR -

7673 Magna Guard Starfighter Review
Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Well, thanks! This means a lot coming from someone who makes a review almost daily. The Magna Guard heads are made from super hard rubbery ASB, I suppose. It doesn't bend, but it isn't normal brick plastic either, I think. DSR -
I know. The next one up is 105 USD and has no minifigs, so I'm going for a 110 USD one w/o LUL Mace. Unfortunately, the seller I was going to buy from had some cool figs and other stuff I was going to order. My total was 105 USD. Oh well. DSR

Dark Sword Ragnarok replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in LEGO Star Wars
No, they don't. They only fit on lightsaber sized pins. But a regular minifig head can fit on the Magna guard body. -
Cool. Definately something to think about. Well, the one I'm looking at has the LUL, and is cheaper 100% w/o box as some others w/o box and no figs. I will have to talk to my parents about getting an advance on my measly income. I may have to take out a loan from my sister. She's saving for an iPod and won't take anything less than 20% interest. (not a month, just 20% when I get it) DSR EDIT: Aww, man! The 91 USD one I wanted is gone now! I knew if I posted it here someone else would snag it.

[Comic] Jack and Jessa visit the Archives
Dark Sword Ragnarok posted a topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Okay, hopefully this one will go over better than the last! THE STORY: Okay, since the last comic, Jack, Jessa and 214 were sent to research in the Archives. The Jedi Council wanted Jessa to learn some basic Jedi history and such before going into battle. This comic shows the events of that trip. The Characters: Jack Jessa 214 Jack: Ah, here we are, the greatest place for learning in the entire Galaxy! The Great Archives! Jessa: I still don't get what we're doing here! Why aren't we training for battle? Jack: Well, there's two reasons for that. One, your not ready for that yet. Two, the Jedi Council doesn't want me in battle for a little while. Jessa: Why's that? Jack: Umm, they said it had to do with my anger problems in battle... (FLASHBACK) (END FLASHBACK) Jack: Hey, where'd that come from! Oh well, let's get inside. Jessa: Whee, a giant museum. Boring! Jack: It isn't a museum, it's the Archves. Just go inside already. 214: Ay, whaddya want me to do? Jack: Uh, just, like, clean and load the weapons. Or something. 214: Ah, I'm never appreciated 'round here. It's always bloody cleaning. I should be flying a V-19 right now! Jack: This here is a statue of... Jessa: No duh, of course it's a statue... Jack: I wasn't done. This is a statue of a nameless, but very important man. He designed many building machines and helped contributed to modern day intergalactic society. Jessa: Oh. Jack: Anyway, lets go look at the Archhive files. 214: Aww, bloody Hell! Tha darn loading mechanism is jammed! Better get Jack... 214: Hey Jack, how do you unjam this bloody loa... *click* 214: Blimey! *whoosh* Both: Woah! 214: Nevermind, it cleared now. Hope you enjoyed this one, guys! DSR -

I'm glad to help! You know, at first I didn't plan on buying it. Then, while I was at Target, browsing the new CW sets, my Grandmother decided out of the blue to get me it. I showed her what the new stuff was, and she said "Well, would you be dissapointed if I got you the cheapest one?" (They didn't have the cheaper ones at Target) And I told her I would appreciate anything she was willing to buy. So, I walked out with it. If anyone wants to see any part of the finished set in better detail, tell me here and I will see what I can do! DSR -
Really? Small world... So, I guess I will email him or something, see how much S&H is. DSR
