Just a quick opinion gathering. Which one should I dismantle for parts as I don't need two. The custom was based of the green interceptor from set 9494

    [MOD/MOC] Darth Vader's Sith Interceptor

I did one of these a while back when set 9494 came out. This looks good too, I did stick with mostly black though. Nice job keep up the good work.
  5. Let me start out by making my intentions clear. 1 I wanted to make a mini imperial style Venator in good scale to the Super Star Destroyer. 2 Make the mini ISD with the model look better and more to scale. After crunching some numbers, the ISD should be 13.5 studs long/4.25 inches, the Venator should be 10.32 studs/3.25 inches. I found it really hard to stick to ten/eleven studs for the Venator. I was able to do a nice ISD at 13 studs but could not use it because of the size of the mini venator. The final models come out to be about 15/16 studs for the ISD and 13/14 studs for the Venator. Here are some pictures from LDD. Before I go ahead and make this i thought i would get some feedback/suggestions. I included in the pictures the original mini ISD model from the set.
  6. Hello Everybody. This is my first review so go easy on me and I hope I do a good enough job. Let me start by saying I have never played TOR, I just bought this ship because I loved the look of it. Here are the specs. Set Name: Sith Fury Class Interceptor Set Number: 9500 Piece Count: 748 Price: US 89.99 EU 99.99 GBP 79.99 # of Minifigs:3 (Darth Malgus, 2x Sith Troopers) The minifigures are the highlight of this set in my opinion. The Malgus figure alone is amazing, and here he is flanked by two equally awesome sith troopers. This one without the chest piece and helmets. The detail is amazing on the figures especially the chest piece for Malgus. Individual shots. Now for the build, since I didn't take pictures I'll have to just give my opinion. I really enjoyed it and the technic use in the wings was really interesting and fun. The model can be broken down into three main pieces. Believe it or not the wings are kept in place by only two red pins, one for each wing. Still the ship is very solid and has great swooshing ability. Close up of the wing mechanism. Top greebles. Here are some pictures of the ship and its gimmicks. Here are some comparison pictures. I choose the recent Tie and Vader's TIe to show it can seemlessly join there ranks also the x-wing to show the size, it is a small ship for its price which is a definite drawback. For the final part I took pictures of the instruction booklet as it came with that small comic at the end. Also I do not have the box as I got it on ebay with no box. Notice the leg printing on the Sith Trooper, looks like TLG left it out. The summer 2012 wave minifigs Overall thoughts: I really like the set as it is, but the price is horrendous for what you get. It is the same size as 9493 X-wing and costs US 30 more. I know the piece count is more but the price should not be that high. I was lucky to get this before most in the US because of catching the ebay listing from the people who do the brick show. I got it for a much cheaper price without the box which was worth it. I did leave out, there are stickers that add some detail on the inside of the wings. Overall I would recommend this set just for the Mini Figures which really are the highlight. I mean that Darth Malgus is beautiful. If anyone would like to request additional pictures please let me know as I can get them up within a day most likely. I am sure you would like to see some characters with Malgus's chest piece just let me know and if i have the figure i will do it. Thank you everyone. Hope you like it. Also Moderators please add a poll as I did not know how to do it. Thanks. REQUESTED PICTURES without cape with cape The cape piece is from what I know new. Sorry for the one blurry pic but it doesn't affect the size comparison.

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

Is there any info on the what I am assuming exclusive sets (police gunship and droid trifighter) besides what is on the first page. Such as minifigs/features? Are they even confirmed or is it just speculation?

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

The first wave usually has the smaller lower cost sets. The big expensive sets are usually released more towards the summer.

They probably backed out of Commander Wolfe becasue his helmet would need completely different printing and they could cut costs that way since TCW is a dying line within the Star Wars Lego universe.

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

Thank you Birckadeer!!!! It is fair to say I'm getting all the Trooper sets soley for the minifigs. The builds are kinda lame. The battle of selucami? really? one clone vs. 4 droids. They should have thrown another trooper in there. Jedi Interceptor is nice but why couldn't they have done Obi's red or blue. So tired of all the anakin fighters we get. Still on the fence on the v-wing, it might be the first v-wing i buy.

I can take some pictures for you. Let me know exactly what angles you would want so I can satisfy your curiosity. As for your question I never had the old gunship but I like the look of the new one better and it was a fun build. I do plan on modding doors onto mine like the old release but haven't had the time to try it. The same for the tank droid, have the new one dont have the old but going by pictures the new one looks better but the old one had the nice printed dish piece.

Wow that chewie looks great. Not getting the Jedi Interceptor as i made my own from 9494 so the anakin does nothing for me.

With the Hi Def pictures of City and Friends out today. I'll wager the SW sets aren't too far off. I never understood why in the USA tehy wait till after Christmas release. But to be more on topic. I will be getting every set this wave that has a Phase II clone, and i would love a UCS set in the scale of the SSD, MF, ISD..etc. I just love those big builds and the ringed instruction book so here is hoping for an AT-AT.

Funny that this all got posted today as I bought the new AT-TE today at amazon for 25% off so couldnt resist. The new one IMO is definitely the better looking and I will be taking the red highlights from the CW one to put on the Ep II one. I guess the real judging moment will be when I have them side by side. I won't sell the old one as I might gift it to one of my nephews who is starting to get into Star Wars Legos. And kudos on using Latin, don't see that often.

IMO looks great. Some problems but better than the CW versions of the phase II. Which in my opinion is the best of the helmets

I agree, but maybe not the angle but the distance away from the camera IMO Also the phase II clone is looking great compared to the CW verison.

Well this is dissapointing. I really want to know who at TLG looked at the mold and was like wow looks great. SMH. I will still be picking up that BP though. And the target demo (kids) wont really care about the helmet being "a little off" EDIT: Also has there been any speculation as to what the UCS releases will be in 2014?
