I designed this awhile ago after Set 9494 in LDD. I finally went through bricklink to get all the pieces. Very slight modifications besides the color of course. I think it looks great and look forward to doing it for Anakin's Yellow Eta-2 and Darth Vader's Black one. Here are some comparison picrtures.

I agree the dk green isnt too memorable. But the black was never on screen. I just love the style of the ship. My total bricklink cost for this fighter was about $27.00, but i had parts from the previous red eta-2 from ultimate space battle. I would definately go the bricklink route rather than buying 9494 and modding. Unless you are getting a good price selling the extras. With regards to the black version. Which do you like better?

My next bricklink adventure will be the yellow version, i am also working on an AT-PT. This is my favorite PT ship and pretty high on my list for the complete saga. Not sure if i will do the blue one as after the yellow i want to do black. These aren't finished models. Here are pics from LDD. Which black verison do you guys prefer? I really want to do a prgression of ANakin's fighters from Azure Angel-Delta 7B-Eta-2 Yellow-Eta-2 Green-Eta-2 Black-Tie Advanced. I have already completed my azure angel from plo koons jsf. I just need the yellow and black Eta.

I just got this set along with two uruk army sets on Amazon US for $196. I was not going to any LOTR sets since i am mainly star wars but i could not resist this after reading the review and watching reviews. Otherwise no other sets interest me. I just look forward to a minastirith set. I hope it is like the UCS Falcon, huge and 3,000 peices.

Here is my take on the AT-PT Walker. I am off to bricklink and pick a birck to buy the pieces to make it. Let me know what you think or if you have and suggestions. The only feature of the set is the opening back to eject the cockpit. I could have done a flick fire missle where the lightsaber hilt is but did not like the look.

I still absolutely hate that dark saber. I bought one of these from bricklink. THis is what i will give him when i pick up the fighter.

If I do i would like to wait till i finish the model in real life and maybe make a small battle pack out of it. With a speeder bike and some other troops.

Where were they on clearance?

I just bought 8017 (vader's tie) on ebay for $32.00 to go with 9492. I also just bricklinked all the parts to make an Obi Wan version of 9494. Will post pictures when i finish.

Is this the first PT Palpatine with a lightsaber? He comes with a nice gold golored hilt.

I love it. I am glad they choose to include the little speeder that Anakin takes to the Senate. IT is very well detailed in my opinion and should make for some great scene reanactments, suck as when yoda confronts palpy.

What is the little thing with the Handlebars supposed to be? A turret?

Do we know when these will start to show in America? I have seen different things on different websites.

This is the only reason I want this set. Gotta have that Boba Fett. Wish there was one more figure though, a Han or Chewie maybe.

Agree with the darksaber. I was really hoping to be wowed by it.

He lost it in ROTS and probably never made another.

You could always mod it to be like the older ones. I plan to do that.

Do you think what we saw is preliminary or final with regards to the darksaber?
