Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
ScaryScarecrow replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Ollie doesn't look that great, in my opinion. So I guess I can get over not having him. Comic Con seems to be having a lot of Black Suit MOS Superman this year. There's also supposed to be an expensive variant MOS Superman statue with him in the black suit and I think a couple obscure toys that DC has a license with with that outfit. I don't really recognize that Spiderman, but that Spiderwoman looks kinda cool. I think this is the first time I've felt true apathy towards exclusives. -

Barbara would be cool. I'd also like to see The Huntress and Black Adam. -

Any news on that Lego Marvel Iron Patriot? I love Rhodes and own the Extremis Sea Port Battle just so I had could have War Machine. Never pre-order from Wal-Mart until they update the listing with the bonus, or you won't get it. -
Was at NYCC today. I won a turtle. He has NO back printing (instead, he has a shell, which is a new backpack mold) and a new head mold. The skateboard is the coolest part. I want to get the Krang Android but I doubt I'll find one, seeing as he's selling for more than the NYCC exclusive turtle.

I sure hope we get Legend of Korra. It's a great show, and has a giant following with kids, teens, and adults. The building and vehicle designs were also awesome. If we got a theme, I would say: Chi-Blocker Tank vs. Korra (Korra, Chi Blocker, and Chief Saikhan) General Iroh vs. Equalist fighter planes (General Iroh and 3 Equalist bomber plane pilots) Bolin and Asami Sato vs. Hiroshi Sato (Bolin, Asami, Chi Blocker, Hiroshi Sato) Equalist Booster Pack (5x Chi Blockers, Lieutenant, Amon (With mask)) Out of The Past (Older Aang, Older Toph, Older Sokka, and Yakone) Equalist Revolution (Korra, Mako, Amon (Without mask), 2x Chi Blockers, and Lieutenant) Air Bending Temple (Korra, Lin Beifong, Tenzin, the airbending babies, Pema, and Tarrlok) A TMNT theme would be kinda weird, though. How would the turtles be done? Would they be minifigs or a bunch of new molded parts?

We gotta remember, those aren't the finished product technically. It's always possible that we get full head printing, but wasn't on the computer rendering because we wouldn't see the back or sides of the head. -

I still think we should get Catwoman. Maybe her hair is still in the design process, after all, they would probably make it so that you can take the goggles off her hair and have a double sided face with them on. It just wouldn't make sense to not have her. More people are familiar with her than they are with the Commissioner. The guard and him would probably show up in AA. Last Batman wave, the guards were S.W.A.T. as well, which Gordon is wearing. After all, that wave was only a couple nicely sized sets. -

Spiderman set looks better than expected! Iron Fist is the best minifig in it in my opinion. -

The Bat and Bane's Tumbler? YES. I still think it needs Catwoman. 3 minifigs is sorta low for any set. I could justify not having her at Comic Con: they'd need to make new hair with the kitty ears. -
Fair warning: some people managed to get their hands on a working copy (or so they say) of TDKR, and have been spreading the spoilers around. Even though they haven't been confirmed to be real, it's better to stay safe to get the whole experience and not be disappointed (Like me ).

The Knight Rises/Batman's Bat vs. Bane's Tumbler: Bane has his own tumbler! Batman has to team up with Catwoman and Commissioner Gordan in The Bat and stop him! Includes 4 minifigures: Batman, Bane, Catwoman, Commissioner Gordan (It's not like I want an Anne Hathaway Catwoman, or anything...). 49.99. 487 pieces. Arkham Asylum Takeover: Harley Quinn has sneaked into Arkham Asylum to release The Joker and send the inmates to run wild! Will Batman and Robin be able to stop her before it's too late? Includes Wing-Suit Batman, Red Robin, Disguise Harley Quinn, Inmate Joker, Poison Ivy, and The Scarecrow. 119.99. 1230 pieces. Atlantic Iceburg Battle: Mr. Freeze has taken his Iceburg and The Penguin has taken his submarine out to the middle of the Atlantic to freeze Atlantis! Will the Batboat and Aquaman stop them in time? Includes Anti-Freeze Batman, Aquaman, Mr. Freeze, and The Penguin. 24.99. 248 pieces. Sounds about right. The "middle" wave last time was only 3 sets IIRC.

I think it's safe to say that we'll see a microfig Ant-Man. I don't care much about Marvel, and I rather dislike Ant-Man, so I think I can save my money and skip the Marvel waves. I still want to see The Bat vs. Bane's Tumbler, and Catwoman thrown in. It's not a TDKR set without her. -

I feel bad for everyone who won the exclusive Spidey. All they got was an exclusive head. The rest is the exact same thing as Venom but without accessories. Compared to the entirely brand new Bizzaro, Shazam, and Bizarro, it would be quite disappointing. I have a feeling that at NYCC, we'll get Killer Croc for DC and The Lizard for Marvel, because it's not popular enough to give out 4000 figures. Alligators/Crocodiles in New York's sewers, anyone? -

I can't be the only one thinking that Robin in his Freeze Suit would be better because they can cash off of the videogame. If it's Aquaman and Batman vs. Mr Freeze, perhaps we can get a surprise Captain Cold? Wouldn't make much sense, but 2 villains vs. 2 good guys is fine by me.
