LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Coryo replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It's probably worth giving some of the movies another shot to see if any of the designs or characters stand out to you. And if you liked the Nebulon-B set, you could take a look at the Starship Collection line of similar midi-scale ships that started recently. -
Does anyone know why Lego went with bright yellow for the Malfoys' hairpieces instead of the tan colour they used to have?

Playsets would include battle packs and regular minifig-scale vehicles or location sets. Display sets are the dioramas with black bases and quotes, as well as buildable Droids/characters, and midi-scale/UCS ships. So from 2023-24 the playsets would be: All four Ahsoka series sets (Ghost, E-wing, T-6, Peridea Battle) The Mandalorian sets (Spider Tank, Pirate Snub Fighter, Fang Fighter vs TIE Interceptor, BARC Speeder, Paz Viszla/Moff Gideon Battle, Ambush on Mandalore) All three Rebuild the Galaxy sets (Dark Falcon, Bob's Starfighter, X-Wing/TIE Mash-up) Battle Packs (Clones vs. Droids, 501st Specialists, 332nd) Young Jedi Adventures sets (Tenoo Temple, Crimson Firehawk) Yoda's Starfighter TIE Bomber Coruscant Guard Gunship Yavin 4 Rebel Base Boarding the Tantive IV Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator The Onyx Cinder Desert Skiff & Sarlacc Pit Imperial Star Destroyer Maybe the Holiday Diorama? Not sure how to classify things like microfighters and mechs though -
Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Bigfigs are at least twice the height and width of regular minifigs, and looking at the set video from FF, I don't think the Thing would end up being big enough to warrant that. One other option would be a specially moulded headpiece that covers the chest and shoulders, similar to Ned-B or the Wookiees -
I'm glad I have the Burrow from a couple of years ago, I don't think the new one really warrants such a massive increase in price. Hopefully there'll be a Deathly Hallows version of Bill at some point down the line. It's minor, but the soap dispenser design is lowkey genius

Batman (DC Superheroes) 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Coryo replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Looking at the DC sets that are available now, it seems like Lego is largely forgetting about their main target demographic. Ignoring the mech and the buildable figure, it seems like every set is aiming for people who are 30-40+ with nostalgia for the Keaton and Timmverse versions of Batman, which is possibly why they feel safe in randomly adding an extra 30% or so to the price of a Batmobile. I'd like to see more waves similar to their output from 2015-2018, with more sets that aren't tied to any specific interpretation and wouldn't be pricing out the child and teenage audience. -

Narkina 5 Yoda is wild, gives me hope that the design team are still thinking about stuff from Andor -
I think they should approach the Endor battle similarly to the two Mandalore sets from this year, with a playset and a battle pack with both factions releasing in the same wave.

Batman (DC Superheroes) 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

I really hope the Batman cowl pieces from 2012 and 2015 aren't going to be phased out completely, IMO the new dual-molded one just looks too bulky and I can't see it working for most of the live-action Batmen, it barely suits the comic version as is.
