Disney Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

Fingers crossed to that. I might wait though and see how well received they are by fans in case Disney continues to go with the wrong focus. I just don't want Frozen spoiled for me, and I don't trust Disney at the moment when it comes to toying with existing and already perfect films. I absolutely get you with both the nostalgia and there being too many modulars to work with to change it all haha. I might maybe throw Raya in the background then while I do something, that way if something catches my interest I can fully tune in. If nothing draws me in, at least it was something to occupy me while doing a task. I do like that comparison you've made between Mowgli and Belle - I think I may have made an subconscious comparison myself and that's why I really like what they did. I remember hating they did that for Belle - not because I didn't think she deserved to be handy, but because they did absolutely nothing with it and therefore added nothing to her character. Like for me the human skills fleshed out Mowgli more; yes he was welcomed in the jungle, but he is capable of thriving outside of it and into the human world - which opens the fun debate as to whether he belongs in the village because he is much like other humans, or should he stay in the jungle to use his skills to help the animals. I'm hoping they kinda leave it at Frozen 2. I know Frozen 3 is confirmed, but I think it is unnecessary - you can image what I think about the fourth lol. My feelings on is perfectly match yours. The second sounds so clunky that if by not even watching it I feel like I dodged a bullet, 3 and 4 do not sound any more promising. It is a shame that there is no consistency between Genie and genie Jafar, I might actuall try what you've said and convert Genie to look like Jafar with the hair. If they bring that piece out later for a new Genie though and they just did genie Jafar dirty, I'mma be really annoyed... Oh I 100% agree with you on price and the quality to receive. I know it's DC but it's funny that with the Batman 1 sets, just after Lego started to recover from finanical loss, we managed to get minifigures that were all unique with the best efforts given with the technology at the time. Same with Lego Batman 2 and even TLBM. All unique, all given great effort, and all beloved by fans. The prices keep going up yet there's a dip in what we are receiving for minifigures and so forth across all properties. Even still, throwing in an extra $5 to add some leg printing and so forth to an already $90 set is nothing considering that minifigures and parts are being recycled to a point where they are just pure lazy and avoiding opportunities for us to receive new/updated figures. -

I might look around and see if there are in fact any examples of people recolouring the castle - that way I can tell if it's worth it. I do remember seeing a fair few people change the green roof of Hogwarts, but I honestly liked it and felt it made the whole thing pop. I might give Raya a watch then - at least I'm prepared for being somewhat rushed. You have made it sound intriguing so I would like to give it a go. Mowgli was indeed easy to enjoy by being both charming and cheeky - how fun! I do love how they fleshed him out and absolutely agree with having needed to do so with the wolves. I also like how they made him more capable with skills and compassion-induced bravery. I agree Scarlet was a miscast; she really should have been more alluring, sly, and intimidating. Random, but I think someone like Eva Green would work - drawing from her Angelique Bouchard role, she uses this perfect yet subtle slithering tone with swirls pf temptation and possessive intent in her voice. That makes so much sense with how you feel about Elsa and the fur haha. It isn't in her character to pull if off, but the dress itself is better than the other when I just focus on the outfits. That all sounds like an utter mess... too much short planning, lack of execution, and over-protection. Very much doesn't sound like the chaos was all worth the sole focus on a character whom Disney cares too much about monetary value than doing something interesting with them... I adored the minifigures we got in the villain icons - true perfection, but I'd be open to genie Jafar needing to have used a red variation of Genie's head/hair piece. Thank you! I just feel bummed about what I at least consider a dip in attention to detail with Lego, as I'm sure others feel as well. Ideally, if I had the money and resources, I'd enjoy working towards creating minifigures for all sorts of properties so people can get the designs that want and are often highly demanded. -

So cool!!! What you've done works very well and would love to try doing the same thing myself 🤩 Yes thank you for recommending the set - I'm probably going to use the money to buy the ideas set to just part out Belle and dedicate the rest of my budget to Pooh's house. I'm glad you managed to get a hold of those easter eggs as there are some really nice one - especially Chef Bouche which I think was a real he fun one! It definitely would be expensive to replace the colours of the castle and I'm not sure myself if the colour variants exist for all parts. Might have to leave it for project in the distant future, in the meantime I will have to cope with the amazing description of a very sugary castle haha 😆 That's a shame that the experience with Raya is one that doesn't allow you to connect with characters. While I don't need to necessarily fully relate to characters, if they don't feel fleshed out it does put me out of it - so I completely understand. Also I just finished watching the the live action Jungle Book, and it was amazing!!! Thank you for the recommendation! I like so many things they've done to build upon the classic; attention to Mowgli's abilities to emphasis where he belongs but also to make him capable, Sher Khan being more of a threat/menace, Baloo being a bit of an opportunist (in a funny way), so forth and so forth. Music was actually fine in terms of how it was integrated, I just don't think Christopher had the singing voices needed but he was great in terms of dialouge. I enjoyed Kaa but I feel Scarlett Johansson was maybe not the best pick - I think someone with more of entrancing drawn-out voice was needed. Those would be my only nitpicks if someone asked, but seriously the rest was perfection to me - thank you again for recommending it!!! I get what you mean with Elsa just whipping out a dress from nowhere and all these reskins of the same outfit. It does seem out of nowhere and unnecessary. The only reason why I liked the furr on the Christmas one is because it made me think of one of her original villain concept outfits where she's wearing what seems to be a white ferret coat. I don't know if I actually even asked, but did all this focus on Elsa in Frozen 2 at least pay off or offer anything for her character? Not saying that in a nasty way, I'm just curious as to what the goal/outcome was. Fingers crossed that we do get the other princess and some updated characters! It definitely could be a graphics error - also looks almost as if someone like drew over the image because the gap it's not consistent. I'm also wondering if it might be some gold reflective printing like we have on Aurora, and the glint is as bright as the yellow of the torso in the photo. Thank you! Not much can be done beyond redrawing something I guess. I would love to one day make my own prints - though I know it's expensive to do so. I could do a blue Aurora, unique face printing, and forth to give it out to others. Like not even for profit, just because it sucks that such things don't exist when we know it can be done and people want the same thing. -

Was bored and decided to come up with an original face print for Belle (top left). I think Lego should have gone with something like this, as I replicated the official head for comparison (bottom left) and it just doesn't suit Belle to me. I'm also aware that I'm being picky and that there would have been a budget... Just a bit bummed out... -

Deep sadness 😔 Maybe the BATB teaser means we might get a set where they have given her new face printing... Who knows, but this is sad news for me as a big BATB fan. Maybe I can find another head to swap it out. You've sold me on getting Pooh's house haha! As for the original castle, I actually prefer it's colour scheme over the new one. Castle should be tones of white, silver, and blue in association with Cinderella. The nougat and gold makes me think too much of Aurora. The main thing I like about the new one is the greenery and that it's a bit more polished with the updated pieces, but that's it. If I could find the time to track the pieces and do it, I'd honestly swap the colours to be like the original. Yes slowly getting there with getting better haha, thank you! While I do enjoy those example series, I don't think my brain would be able to take in a film that has condensed similar concepts into just under an hour... Like it really does sound fun, but I do like having the time to appreciate what I'm watching and if I wouldn't be able to do that I don't know how I'd feel about it upon finishing said film. I looked up which Snow Queen I watched, and I'm assuming it was some 2005 TV Show - apparently it's a shocking adaptation but I remember enjoying the story and ideas lol. Speaking of Elsa's dresses, I actually didn't mind the dark blue 'Christmas' one. I don't know what it was about it, but it just felt more closer to what I would think would pass for more princess attire. The Frozen Fever dress felt even more like a costume so I prefer even the OG more over that. I am definitely going to steer clear of that sequel now lol. I know a few things about it and it made me feel reassured I made the right choice to keep my experience to the first film. Sad that they kinda gave all the more interesting characters, in my opinion, the worst treatment. I'm sure there was a way to elevate and balance love for everyone, but Disney fumbled I guess... I agree with Philip looking better with darker hair and reddish brown or even dark orange would have been great! Fingers crossed that we see something like this in the future 🤞 Ooo I that map!!! 🫨🤩 How cool!!! Yeah I agree Lego has more pressing sets to cover, I'm just quirky for semi-wanting a whole world of Disney films hahaha. **EDIT** Just noticed this: in some photos of the ideas set, Belle's bodice has a line going completely straight up and down - in others it's incomplete... why is that? Also the overall linings of the entire dress seems a lot thinner compared to the other princesses which are more solid looking. https://flic.kr/p/2qfGgzf -

I might do exactly that and get the Winnie The Pooh set before Elsa's palace. I'd love both, but I think currently I might be able to get away with the tree house with the small space I have left over the castle. I'd also be having to place it with Snow White's cottage, so it definitely would be better suited. I'd love to pose Pocahontas in the trees for that very scene!!! That is such a clever little nod - thank you! Currently have Snow White's cottage right next to the colours of the wind easter egg area, and I'll probably be putting the treehouse there and shuffling the cottage over - so it will definitely work! I have the minifigures ready to go for the ice castle, so I'm more than happy to get it - just definitely a case of finding the space. Ideally, I would love to put it on the otherside of the castle (currently can't) and create a little MOC of a frozen lake/bridge from the water of Cinderella's castle. I'll certainly let you know when I watch it. I might give it a go tonight depending on if my partner is willing to watch it with me, or I will watch it on my own tomorrow morning while still home recovering. I also agree that I think Enchanto could have likely dipped out of everyone's attention like Raya if it weren't for covid - a movie which I haven't watched so I completely get your point. I do like the story of the Snow Queen. There was a live-action non-Disney movie that I watched, probably of the same name of the tale, and I actually remember loving the concept. I didn't realise Frozen drew on it until much later after watching it, and do wish they took a bit more inspiration. I do absolutely adore Anna's outfit - they also strike me as a princess attire even when it comes to her simple winter outfit. It's just a clean and sensical design. Elsa is very much runway vibes haha - I do love the ice-centric design, I applaud that, but it just doesn't scream princess to me. It does however make sense now why there's such attention put on Elsa's beauty when drawing back to her being originally a villain - also considering that the Snow Queen is a symbol of temptation. I haven't watched the sequel to be honest. Quite scared of anything with a sequel nowadays 😆 I just want to preserve what I remember enjoying. Overall I did like Frozen. My only major-ish issue was Elsa's "motives" and the amount of praise she was getting in terms of being more complex than existing princess. Now, if I were to watch the sequel and experience firsthand what you felt, which I think I would, it would change Frozen for me in a bad way which I don't want. I'm grateful for the warnings, but I'm also sorry that the sequel was what it was for you. I don't know about the Frozen characters at this point in time, but with Philip here are a few pieces you can use but you will need to make adjustments to them. As I said earlier, I drew on the leaked diorama version, where he is clearly using Shaggy's hair with a dark grey torso, dark grey legs with dual molded black boots - and of course, his red cape. At the moment I've used Venkman's head, but I might change this to Jim Halpert. I've picked out a torso the closest to what Philip wears, but you will need to use a clean eraser to remove certain details - I've included edited photos to show you what to remove. If this doesn't work for you, I've included a custom drawing of mine as to how I think the minifigure Philip might have looked in my opinion. You might be able to use this a guide to find other pieces. Yesss!!! How cute!!! I think these would be quirky yet fun little ideas for Lego to go along with. I also very much adore this!! Honestly, I would love having these sub-iconic locations in addition to Beast's castle. I can imagine laying them out to have a mini world, and it would be amazing to be able to do this for every film if it was all possible and I had the space. ...Or maybe I'm just a little Disney-crazed for thinking that 😆 -

I would say that Lego is very timid nowadays on newer properties - either not engaging with them at all or cutting them off where they thing the success might dive for the worst. I think it's such a mindset that's stopping us from getting another Winnie The Pooh set, which I would love too as I missed out on the first. Thank you for the well wishes! I do love TNBC but the set itself hasn't intrigued me beyond other sets not my style by comparison - and having Sally just in case I decide to ge TNBC set will save me quite a few dollars if she ever sky rockets. For $200 retired, I'd say that's a decent price to get Elsa's castle. I'll have to think about it in addition to TNBC because it does look nice having actually given it a good look at 🤔 I'll still give the new Jungle Book ago - I think having a more solid retelling than the later live-actions will be enough to forgive any awkward musicals (I'm sure they won't be that bad). And yes, where is Lego Mowgli and Baloo!!!??? That makes sense with your experiences. I think the over hype often kills it for me too with recent Disney films. Now that I think about it, I think I excused Enchanto because I watched it during covid and figured the hype was a mix of the very recent rise of Disney+ and knowing everyone was bored out of their witts ends. Had it come out today, I think the same amount hype would have felt more on the unwarranted side. Looking at the original concept art of Frozen, I actually think a take on the Snow Queen was more intriguing. I honestly don't have much of an issue with Anna apart from being the "adorkable" prototype, but Elsa just annoyed me not just for over exposure but she just strayed too far into being markettable. Like yes there's all sorts of princess merch, but her dress felt more like something ready to be a modern day costume than the classic princess who had something I'd see as closer to actual princess attire that later gets an adapted outfit for kids. And as you said with recent princesses, she felt like any other person but given a crown and a royal title. Yes we shouldn't idealise and value people for titles, but it left me not admiring her for having her one overwhelming trait being pretty. She has other qualities, don't get me wrong, but to me the physical beauty aspect is in your face with how they designed her. Everyone else is great, I like Olaf, I like Kristoff - yeah Hans was a weird twist villain, but he was okay - and Anna was a bit more of the voice of reason in comparison to Elsa. Songs were good too, just over played. It's sad that people get offended by small things that are just there as a sign of hope and happiness between two fictional people. Oh well - very happy that Lego still stuck to the kiss at least, which was an absolute yet happy shock for me. I agree it would be nice to have the same for Aurora. Yes maybe we should be concerned for Florian and Philip haha (kidding of course). I totally get Joanne Woodward's experience - I think I've heard this as it rings a bell, but not sure. It is a very daunting experience, even for me despite being brought up around it. But hey, in Snow White and Sleeping Beauty they made sure that everyone got a happy ending out of it haha. -

Absolutely agree! I feel we're in such a highly critical climate nowadays that people are far too eager to criticise art and other things that require the effort to understand, but will easily approve and wave superficial trends and ideas. It's a shame really. I also hope that with what's going on with the live-actions that Lego will take priority in the classics a bit more. Rapunzel and Tiana are my exceptions for modern films (Zootopia and Big Hero 6 too, but I put it in it's own category in my head). Rapunzel was the start for a trend of the adorkable and quirky, but at the time it was just her. Tiana is perfection, honestly - she makes me think more of the renaissance than modern films. Their films both stuck to more traditional values of Disney in my opinion; well-established dream, a protagonist who the audience relates with and not so much is a representation of the audience, and a clear and fleshed out villain. We'll see if they do anything with Superman for DC - I also feel they may not do much with it. I've accepted it at this point. So sorry for my confusion - it wasn't you, it was me. I'm pretty ill at the moment, so I definitely jumbled what you said in my head from being so out of it. Thank you for making the effort to clarify - you've still kept me interested in getting one!!! 😊 Sounds like I missed out on a cool set at this point by overlooking the ice palace, haha. Would love if they made a classic Glinda! With what you've said about the ideas sets, it's quite similar to what the video said. A lot of set lines have the capability to be established, but Lego seems to not push the continuation. The video, in their opinion, theorised they're just there to bridge new fans into Lego; when there's profit to gain by introducing continuation, they will. While I prefer no singing, I don't mind singing in the live-actions at the same time - I'm 50/50. I do find it odd, but I can adjust to it if songs are integrated well and meaningfully. While I did like Enchanto, I do in fact agree with you and picked up on those things. I gave it a pass I guess for some reason. For me, it was just good - I didn't consider it to be a brilliant masterpiece, it was just an easy watch and less in my face about superficial notions/digs at classic films. I also wish they did more with the peak of the conflict - I think there was a lot of potential to confront Abuela about matters beyond just Mirabelle and unpack why someone might act like Abuela in a less glossed over way. I'd say that the hate on the notion on princesses is more in line with more recent portrayals than the classic, as well as how Disney chooses to market all of them. While the classic princess are in some ways the 'epitome' of beauty, they are given genuine flaws and genuine troubles that the average person can experience - that they are not entirely perfect and, regardless of their status, are human. Elsa, Anna, so forth and so on, have this heavy emphasis on being pretty and princesses that I just never felt with the classics - not to mention, their flaws are superficial and draw on fantasy than reality. For example, Ariel who is not accepted for what she loves and wants to be has to conceal herself but actually lacks the control to do so for being so hurt and shunned to the point of being stubborn (in a good way, we all can be a bit stubborn) vs... Elsa, who shuns herself because of magical powers in fear of hurting others by getting out of control - yet, she willy-nilly doesn't see the damage of isolating family, especially people who want to understand, and hypocritically takes digs at people who blow their feelings on something/someone out of proportion??? As for people hating on the kiss to revive Snow White, likewise Aurora, they weren't solely romantic in intent. Yes a kiss itself is affection, but they were tied to the idea of pure love and genuine care in wanting to help them - TRUE love's kiss. And in being true love, a one-sided desire to kiss some one would not equate this - it would have to be a mutual experience that both parties have for one another for the kiss to work. Yes, neither princess could not sit up for a split second to consent, but true love can be both romantic or not and for the magic to work the kiss could not be based in taking advantage of someone. The confusion with Snow White is semi Disney's fault - Florian was in fact meant to be locked in the dungeon by the Queen and, I believe, was meant to find out the cure for the sleeping death there. The idea was scrapped and instead used for Sleeping Beauty. So, from the get go, the kiss was not intended for him to be a creep but out of duty, but even without this explanation, I interpreted it as a kiss of reverence. Don't know about other cultures and other Italian families but, in my own, some people kiss the person whom has passed on the cheek, forehead, etc as a farewell. For this reason, I saw Florian's actions as an innocent farewell kiss. As for Aurora, Philip is outright told by Maleficient in her twisted plan that Aurora would only wake if they truly loved each other - why bother the kiss if he wasn't fairly certain they had something genuine? Not sure which minidoll you are referring to, but I'm assuming Philip. I was trying to replicate him at some point but got caught up with other things. However, my attempts to replicate him were based off his design in the diorama leak. Either way, I believe I screenshotted various parts that would be suitable for replicating either the leaked version or the minidoll version. I can attach them if that is something you would like. -

Yeah it's a shame with what's happened to DC but it's understandable considering the issues within DC itself. That's all good if there's no side leg printing - still worth having anyway if she has the arm printing and dual molded legs. I can just mix and match things if I ever get the new TNBC set, otherwise the CMF is pretty good as is 🙂 The ice palace does look quite awesome and could certainly pass for a minifigure intended set at first glance. It looks as if it fits the style of the first Cinderella castle with those angled slopes built on the sides. Considering you have the Wizard of Oz minifigures, it would be a fun trialing out displaying it as Glinda's ice palace - didn't realise that was a thing, but makes so much sense being the witch of the North. What a cool lil' idea to know, haha! I saw the Ratatouille set and it looked excellent as well. I think after watching some videos on Lego idea rejections, my eyes are somewhat opened by people's opinions that it's a system solely for catering to introducing non-existing set lines to draw in new Lego fans. Yes there's like the occassional set that is based on an existing Lego line but some video I watched, can't remember who I was watching sorry (if I find it I will link it because it was quite interesting), kinda compared how much effort they put into new concepts vs how they dial it back on concepts Lego already covers. That actually seems fantastic in terms of blending two materials for the live action Jungle Book. Yes I do want some tribute to the original film, but I equally want something new that doesn't bash the classic. Sounds like they did what they got right with Cinderella, so I'll watch the Jungle Book. While Frozen and later movies are cute, I find that some don't offer much thought into how they are valuable on a personal level. Yes they are fantastically marketable, but I feel they don't give the same energy in terms of instilling life-worthy values. Enchanto was good though, I actually liked how it shed some insight into generational trauma. I just don't understand some of the controversies of the classics. I also wonder why they don't use the live-action films to re-articulate the original message to clarify misconceptions, rather than abolish stuff. For example, the new little mermaid. I've heard for years people go "Ariel gave her life up for a man" in the classic and the solution in the live action seemed to be dedicating time to Ariel being semi-interested, semi-disinterest (in the form of memory loss) in what she wanted with Eric. You've now got Disney wanting to cull Snow White's relationship with Florian. Both princes were a support network - they didn't rob them of ther identity through love/saving them in certain senses, they genuinely appreciated their hopes and dreams that were establisbed before ever meeting the princes. Snow White and Ariel were two individuals distressed in a life that confined them to situations they did not desire, and one act of kindness opened their eyes to the possibility of having something that they not only wanted but should be allowed to experience. It is a beautiful message, and I think it is fantastic for those who have gone through life in similar situations. I don't know how that is "weird" or dated "very evidentally so" as certain individuals have described (bashed) it... if anything, I think it's more relevant today than ever given the rise in social distraction such as technology and how we're often blindsided by other people and their need for genuine and heartfelt connection. ... Sorry for my rant... -

Oh yes I saw this a while back but completely forgot about it! It's a very cute design and it would be nice if Lego did like a little heroine icons set, similar to the villains one. I think it would be very fun!!! Perhaps they could do something in the style of the recent Gringotts. Have Eric's castle at the very top, designed to be detached. Beneath it, you'd have random mini-ish builds of the ocean - Ariel's grotto, ursula's lair, ship-reck, Triton's throne. Unfortunatly the ocen bit would be pretty much be repeating the clamshell features. -

Definitely understand the concerns with the fraying - hopefully it never does so for you. I'm overall the opposite with DC and Marvel haha. I'm a bigger DC fan than Marvel and slowly stopped collecting Marvel sets when TLBM sets really got my attention - but with the decline in interesting DC sets I rarely make a purchase. Kinda now leaves Disney for me to be the only thing for me to be excited about Sounds like you have fun and awesome collection though - very well displayed from how you've described it!!! I didn't realise the new Sally didn't had side leg printing - I definitely should get the CMF one then! Yeah I'm not too crash about the recent Disney properties after the first Frozen - I just found they started to kinda blend in terms of character tropes and messages. No hate for anyone who enjoys them but, like you, I have a softer spot for the older films. It's a shame that Lego is not taking interest in those Ideas submissions - especially when they are hitting the needed votes several times over. I get it that something being highly supported doesn't mean it will necessarily sell and be worth creating, but it would be nice if they could at least use this information to create smaller scale sets or something to test the market. I haven't watched the live action Jungle Book out of fear it would be another "odd" experience, but if it's good I'll give it a try. I'm also very much over this retconning classic Disney values or half-fasting messages. I think expanding and diving into themes with more specific detail/messages should be the priority. I would also enjoy Snow Whites rags (for the well) and Cinderella's in her mother's gown in addition to all those! Can only dream at this point in time. -

I think this would be a fun idea. I wonder how big it would be. Would we get a decent sized castle or something smaller to maintain the grand size of Cinderella's castle 🤔 A fun idea, if possible, would be recreating the facade at Walt Disney World - a fake small castle on a mountain from one side, but turning it around the internal side is actually the castle interior. Maybe that's just me though. I'd still equally love a full on castle build, but I'd imagine Lego would cut out some of the towers and sections as they did with Cinderella's castle. For Belle's castle, I think this would make it a litle bare. -

I would love some more D2C, but I really would like for them to focus on the silver age and the renaissance before touching the revival properties. Ideally, I'd enjoy them exploring iconic movies chronologically. I agree that releasing the Snow White set before the movie was probably a safer move while also keeping it to the classic. I'm not sure how well the Clamshell has sold, but I've seen that it's now on special a lot. I just don't find the live actions have the same sense of life to them and feel lackluster when compared to the animations - nor do they do much to make the stories a bit more meaningful for the new generations - with the exception of Cinderella. In addition to Beast and Philip - we need an Eric! Technically a human Ariel as well. -

Will do then! Yeah there's a lot from the princess line I want to pick from, so definitely would the wiser to just order the things I want then buy a whole bunch of sets. Would love some animal molds too. I've most especially been wanting Jaq and Gus!! I'd hope so. I would love a new Hook for more polished torso printing and for an angry expression to use in a displayed fight between Hook and Peter. And yes I agree that the fabric skirt for Tink was too much and looked like it was possibly one good tug away form tearing. Skirts or even capes with lots of zags just put me on edge after one very unlucky exprience with my TLBM Poison Ivy as a kid. Oh my god, yes the Harry Potter sets do take up so much space haha. I had to stop and I have since stored it all away. You've got the grey roofed castle sets that zip and zag in ways that it takes up a lot of room, and the modular castle needs the room to stretch in way where it's not obscured by or obscuring other sets. They are brilliant nonetheless. Currently I have a whole table almost taken up by a modular city for my DC characters, and then I've got two combined smaller tables currently fully taken up by Cinderella's castle and Snow White's cottage 😅 Yeah I might buy her myself while she's affordable. To be honest, I feel like the CMF version looks better in terms of her expression and hair. The new one is amazing too, but she seems more angry and the hair doesn't speak to me in the same way as the CMF does. -
Disney Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

That's the only reason why I have been slightly tempted to get the princess sets, but I figured I can always get the parts for cheaper off brick owl. I also want to get the Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather round tiles, but I feel I will need to get the latest Sleeping Beauty set for that; however, I'm still too bitter at Lego for ditching the diorama haha. Yeah it's pretty much the case with Lego for anything we want for Disney at this point. Where there are new prints and new molds needed, there are no sets and minifigures to come unless it's really worth it for Lego... I would love a new Alice, though this time either small legs or the medium sized ones. Yes Hook is quite pricey unfortunately. I think for me I will either have to choose Hook or CMF Pan if there aren't any decently afforable ones available. I agree the new Peter Pan is lackluster with it's plain legs - but the new Tink is much nicer in my opinion too! I think at some point I will find the push I need to get some Peter Pan characters, regardless of Lego's design choices. Not sure when, but I think eventually at some point. I'm just struggling with space at the moment to even store figures let alone display sets. Agreed, but what can you do. Interestingly, Sally hasn't gone up - I saw one for $15 AUD new the other day. Thought she would have sky-rocketed seeing her newest design lacks the more accurate hair piece that has since been retired in the red colour.
