  1. I'm holding out hope that we could still see some RotJ-themed sets coming in 2024. UCS Jabba's Sail Barge is heavily rumored, and it's possible the cancelled Jabba's Palace Diorama ends up coming out after all. Maybe we could also get a playset or two from Endor, like an Empire ground forces battle pack or something with regular Ewoks.
  2. Interesting, good catch. The 212th trooper is the only one JJP has listed, but the others are definitely possible.
  3. Apparently Omega will also be included, according to the same IG source (unsure if it's credible). If that's true, and it's the same figure, the reseller market will crash lmao
  4. It sounds like we're getting a 212th trooper in the advent calendar this year, alongside the leaked holiday ewok (rumors on IG, plus seemingly confirmed by JJP). I wonder what other figures it'll include? Probably the obligatory battle droid, maybe a scout trooper to oppose the Ewok? Holiday sweater Luke or Leia might make sense as well.
  5. Pleasantly surprised with the fang fighter/interceptor. I imagined it would look good but I'm legit shocked they're not trying to charge $120 for this. $100 in 2023 for two great starfighters and a fair minifig selection is astonishing lol

Latest news about Lego animal moulds

Agreed, I'm so nervous/excited to find out what the sets will include. Really hoping for some awesome polar animals :)
  7. Fang Fighter and TIE builds look solid, it's a shame the minifig selection isn't as epic as I'd hoped
  8. Knew this was too elaborate to be fake!
  9. Ah my bad, I misunderstood Foggy as having confirmed 2 of the sets. I've edited my previous comment.
  10. So we've got promobricks and jedijacpenguin saying this is happening... Is this happening?
  11. I think the set has a solid display look overall, and a lot of the details (bikes, foliage, etc.) are nice. I certainly like the figures more than some people do, but if the asking price is gonna be this high, I can't accept any corners being cut. This would be a bit pricey at $60, but $80 is just absurd.

    Lego VIP Add On Packs

According to the latest r/legoleaks post, the Spring pack is rumored to be available starting April 1st (usual threshold/requirements)
  13. I feel the same way. The selection of scenes is great but we could have easily seen these both as playsets at much lower price points. Take the same figures and bikes and one tree/scenery piece, and charge $30-35. Condense the throne room to something a bit bigger/more complex than the Mandalore Duel set, include the Royal Guard figs, and charge $40-50 By the sounds of things, we won't be getting any other Endor sets this year, which leaves us with an overpriced 4+ set from last summer, and now an overpriced diorama as well. I understand some level of price increases is inevitable, but it's obvious LEGO is doing everything it can to inflate that even faster. Maybe in their minds the black base and quote tile = $30 added value, but people are really gonna need to vote with their wallets unless we want this to continue.
  14. It's a shame, because I like the look of both of these sets; would be an easy buy if they were cheaper. But lmao, if you sold these without the black bases they'd be like $40 playsets. I love Endor, but $80 for 3 figs on 2 simple bikes plus some foliage? Simply absurd pricing 😂
  15. One thing I'm thankful for is that they're using the new fern piece from Rivendell on the Endor forest floor. I can't wait until those are available en masse!
  16. Diorama set pics leaked, shared by 1414falconfan among others :)
  17. To be fair, the UCS gunship is said to retire by the end of this year, so releasing a new playscale one in September wouldn't be crazy from that perspective. I still think it's unlikely, but not because it clashes with its bigger counterpart.
  18. I do find it pretty hilarious how lifebricks spent half of his latest video criticizing people for reposting fakes (e.g. the fake UCS death star pic) and acting irresponsibly to get clicks, when the thumbnail of the video is literally that exact fake set with question marks over it in order to get clicks.
  19. Agreed, the fighter itself looks pretty decent by most standards, but this move from a $30 to a $35 price point is ridiculous if they're not going to at least include a third minifig. Last summer's Obi-Wan's Starfighter is still only $30 and includes 3 characters. The Dark Trooper attack is $35 and includes 4!
  20. I've seen this floating around for a bit in the forum since lifebricks first started talking about that theory in his videos, but to be clear, there hasn't been any evidence of it whatsoever other than a known troll introducing the ×2 B2s idea when the original set name leaked. As far as I can tell, lifebricks doesn't have any special sources for this set and is going off Instagram rumors (many of which have been proven false recently), so I wouldn't take his word as a reliable source.
  21. That's a rough price for Ferrix. $70 USD is about $105 AUD, so it would seem like they just jacked the price up for the Andor set in comparison to what it should be. In Canada, both are $90 CAD, but I know LEGO can be weird about currency conversions.
  22. I have heard the same. As far as I'm aware, they do divide the costs of licensing in general across the whole portfolio. Of course, this doesn't mean they can't charge more for certain sets/themes because that's simply how much people will pay, so I'm sure that plays a role. You're right though, that many of these types of sets go on sale a few months down the line, so hopefully this will be available at a better price later this year (thus my original proposal that those interested wait for the inevitable discount).
  23. You're completely right, so I can see why they're going this way with the pricing for it. I agree the helmets are also overpriced (in my opinion), especially with the latest increases. I don't buy them as a result, but it is still cool to see what designs LEGO comes up with.
  24. The more I think about, it's kind of crazy how expensive the Executor actually is. If you compare it to another recent $70 set, Ambush on Ferrix from last summer, the Tac-Pod in that was also a detailed grey ship with a similar total mass at a similar piece count (650ish). That set also came with a speeder bike and 3 exclusive minifigures, not to mention integrated play features, a printed windshield, and large moving parts. And even that was arguably overpriced. Taken another way, a lot of small display-oriented sets like last year's mini seasonal line-up (e.g. Valentine Lovebirds) can easily present 300 piece models for less than $15. So along that same scale, a 630-piece midi-scale ship should be... $35? Why are they asking double that price? Large pieces? Nope, mostly small generic parts. Recolours? It's just black/grey. Special prints? Only the small display plaque. Figures? Nada. It seems like this is another experiment on LEGO's part to see how far they can push the "18+ tax" without turning customers away entirely. I agree with many that the model itself looks very good (well executed, one might even say), but I implore those interested in buying it to wait for a considerable sale.
  25. Yeah, I agree the price point seemed too low for this set. A mod on r/legoleak commented that a bunch of numbers have been moved around for the first half of the year, and also mentioned having seen an Endor helmet (possible confirmation?) due for May.
