DJ catnip, Babybox and Kittycorn(?) have leaked. Pleased to add a couple more cats but without pillowcat I can never be content. Surely I don’t have to now wait for 2025 for more sets… I can’t see the theme being that popular to hit a 3rd wave.

I just watched a new episode of Spidey and his amazing friends - Featuring Squirrel Girl. Would be great if she featured as a minifigure if there are to be sets again next year. Seems like only way we would get her anytime soon. Though the series also has Lockjaw who I doubt we would get sadly. I’m desperate for some more variety in marvel minifigures!

Yes I expect a lot of reuse - that’s one of the reasons why I haven’t gone to purchase it yet. There’s so many great minifigure options that hopefully we get over the coming years particularly if ‘97 is popular. For example I would love nightcrawler but I don’t think that’s likely for the mansion. Particularly if it’s only 10minifigs a lot of which will likely be characters we already have. Minimum I would settle for is a jubilee, gambit and Jean.

Wow episode 5 of X-Men ‘97. It nearly made me finally buckle and buy the X-Jet set but I’m still clinging on waiting on principle of the cost and waiting to know what (duplicate) minifigures come with the mansion. If there is no Gambit minifigure this year I will be very unhappy.

I agree. For the size and cost 10 feels low. I think 10 gives you Wolverine Cyclops Beast Storm Rogue Magneto Jean grey Professor X Gambit Jubilee That leaves out Morph and Bishop from the 97 main team. I can’t see how you can have the mansion without Xavier. If 10 is really it - I’m a bit disappointed. Other than new prints - morph and bishop are easy (no new parts). I also think you miss some fun opportunities for maybe the original 5 in original costume (iceman and angel) though I expect they will be included in the portrait in the professors office. Also so much room for fun mutants - I think frankly I’m a bit bored of the lack of new marvel minifigures so am desperate for them to go hard on mutants so I can keep my collection growing (god I want nightcrawler!) I think for cost and size 15 is fair but frankly that doesn’t matter. Have to see when we get closer to the time. Long old wait for a major leak I would guess.

I’ve just watched X-Men ‘97. Really enjoyed it. It got me very excited for an x-mansion. Not sure what we’re going to get in terms of minifigure numbers. So far we’ve had Wolverine, Beast, Storm, Magneto, Cyclops and Rogue. I would expect they will all repeat (perhaps one will remain Expensive-Jet exclusive). Once you start listing the rest of the core 97 cast - Jean, Prof X, Gambit, Jubilee, Morph, Bishop. It doesn’t leave many slots left for other villains or fan favourites. Not sure how many brand new print minifigures we would get compared with say the avengers tower. Mystique, Sabretooth were obviously in the survey version. Mr Sinister, Iceman, nightcrawler, sunspot, deadpool all make some degree of sense to include. In conclusion, I’m going to need more sets, more mutant minifigures and a sentinel the size of Voltron!

Surtur and new Iron Legion minifigures are the only thing that interests me, unless there’s some good new minifigs hiding.

Just seen set 60431. Feels like the green astronauts helmet could be an option for Kang in a different colour. Obviously not coming… at least any time soon.

I really like the Team Spidey Web spinner Headquarters. All new versions or new minifigures. Gold on spider characters looks great and gives some actual variation. Love Zola and his little robot. Great Iron Man variant. All very accurate to the show. This is what I want from Lego - lots of variations of minifigures so if I buy a new set I get new minifigs not constant repeats. Will be getting this set as soon as it’s reduced online as I’m sure it’s slightly over priced but I’m excited for Zola… a new marvel character! (Wipes tears from eyes). I also like the Electro in the smaller set. Will go nicely with the Doc Ock variant from a couple of years ago. I’ve been very critical of Lego marvel in last 12 months but this kind of set (fair enough it’s aimed at preschool/young kids) is exactly what I want for my kind of Lego collecting that’s very minifigure based. Also I bought the Avengers Tower on Black Friday… excited to build it at Christmas… even more excited for Zola to take control of it now ha!

I’ve been trying to get my head round my dislike for the rogue figures hair and trying to articulate how it should look. Gryffindorbrickkid on Instagram has done some designs and how he’s done Rogues hair for me is perfect. That’s what I wanted but didn’t realise until I saw it. Not sure if it would be possible to dual mould it like that but it would be such an upgrade. Either way - not a fan of the Rogue or Cyclops leaks. Will wait for x-mansion to see what’s included and if there’s any (unlikely) upgrades to them.

I just saw the Marvels. I can understand why the Hoopty set is what it is - though it should have contained the main villain. Tbh I would have bought the set straight out of coming out of the cinema if it was a reasonable price (at least 60% less). Ms.Marvel is great. Put her in all the movies and give me more minifigs of her. Going to get her latest minifig asap either on heavy discounted set or just on bricklink.

Saw it was rumoured to be rogue… got excited. Saw the hairpiece and the legs. Wow… bad… at first glance I thought the head was a poor Jean custom. Disappointing. Will wait to see what happens with the mansion but the jet is a miss for me unless something truly massive changes.

I assume we’re not going to get any minifigs from the new code red trailer. I would quite like that version of the Collector and the big Throg!

Holy moly!! It’s huge. Love the building. Excited to see more detailed and the minifigs up close.

I’m looking forward to picking up the sets when on discount. Not seen any Gabbys dollhouse 2024 in the leaks but hopefully second half of 2024. I don’t want to pick up the sets unless I can have all the Gabby cats!
