Cheers, Love! The cavalry's here! And by “the cavalry”, I mean Lego Overwatch sets! This is very exciting news for a big Overwatch fan such as myself, and I’m here to tell you all about my thoughts on these sets! About Overwatch For those of you who are unfamiliar with Overwatch, click below to get a brief summary of what it is: Set Number: 75970 Name: Tracer vs. Widowmaker Theme: Overwatch Year of Release: 2019 Pieces: 129 Minifigs: 2 Price: £12.99 / $14.99 / 14.99€ Links: S@H Brickset Bricklink S@H description: The Box The box art shows Tracer moving the payload across the Watchpoint: Gibraltar map near the start point while Widowmaker is… well, I’m not sure what she’s doing. It looks like she’s running away from Tracer which is very unlike her, plus she seems to be holding her sniper rifle by the butt. It would have made much more sense to position her on the platform in the back trying to snipe Tracer, but oh well. The top banner sports the Lego Overwatch logo on top of the white-to-light-gray gradient that is often used in the Overwatch branding and a depiction of minifig Tracer in the same action pose that she has on the box of the game which is a nice touch. There is a Blizzard logo in the lower right corner and there is some info about the set on the left in the same font that is used for text in the game which is also a nice detail. The back of the box looks a bit strange as it looks like it could be the front of the box. It has the same layout with the Overwatch logo in the upper left and the set info below it and another picture of Tracer and Widowmaker fighting over the payload. The only difference is the URL in the lower right, the name tags for the figs, and the inclusion of the minifig accessories and the stand for the payload. Also, is it just me or does this picture of the set look a lot more CG than the one on the front? The top has some copyright information and 1:1 scale images of the minfigs. The bottom has some choking hazard warnings. The choking hazard warnings continue on one side of the box while the other has a render of the two minifigs in action poses. Contents The box contains three unnumbered bags, a loose 6x8 plate, an instructions booklet, and a sticker sheet. Noteworthy Parts Even thought this is a fairly small set, there are several pieces of note. Those include some printed pieces such as a large dish to represent the drone's charging station, a 1x1 cylinder with a slanted red cross, and the good old white slope with a radar screen with controls. There are also a few parts in rare colors such as the A-Wing fins and a neck bracket in white, the ingot tile in flat silver, a 1x1 round tile with pin holder in red, and 2x2 plates in dark azure (not pictured). In addition, we get a new gun mold in black and white. Hmmm, I wonder which one belongs to the good guy and which to the bad guy? Instructions The first pages of the booklet show instructions on how to sort the parts and retrieve digital building instructions using the Lego Life app, although the instructions for these sets are not available yet as of this writing. Here is one of the instructions pages. The call-outs are pretty clear and the build pops nicely against the light blue background. However, I noticed an error on this page where it tells you to turn the build around even though the building step doesn't require you to do that. Are they trying to make the build last longer by making you do pointless tasks like this? Nice try, Lego. At the end of the instructions there is an image that lets you know that this set can be combined with 75975 Watchpoint Gibraltar and there is another ad for Lego life telling you to scan the QR code again to unlock some stuff in the app. The last two pages list the inventory. The Minifigs As you probably figured out by now, this set includes minifigures of Tracer and Widowmaker. I guess it makes sense including these two in a set together given the encounters they’ve had in the cinematic trailer for the game and the short “Alive”. For those who don’t know, Tracer a.k.a. Lena Oxton is a young British adventurer and hotshot pilot who was left with "chronal disassociation" after a failed test flight of an experimental aircraft. She would randomly disappear for long periods of time at first until Winston invented a chronal accelerator for her which allowed her to control her time-jumps and made her one of Overwatch’s best agents. She’s also lesbian, bringing some much needed LGBT representation to the Lego world, and she's kind of the mascot for the game, so it’s nice to get her in the cheapest set. Widowmaker a.k.a. Amélie Lacroix on the other hand is literally a cold-blooded assassin who used to be married to an Overwatch agent, but was brainwashed by the terrorist organization Talon to kill her husband and become a living weapon for them. So yeah, pretty much the polar opposite of Tracer. Both figs look great and come with cool new hair molds. This is a pleasant surprise especially for Tracer whom they could have easily just given Kai’s hair from Ninjago. I really like Widowmaker’s gunmetal goggles with red highlights and purple hair in the back. They both have nicely detailed torso printing which extends down to their legs. Widowmaker’s torso features one of the biggest cleavages we’ve seen on a minifigure to date. Are we sure this set is meant for 8 year olds? Here are some screenshots of the two girls from the game. Overall, I'd say they look pretty spot-on. The only thing that would have made them more accurate is dual-molded arms to represent their short sleeves and maybe some more printing on Tracer's legs, but I don't think it's necessary. For all the weapons in this theme, Lego decided to go with a brick-built approach using the new gun mold that I highlighted earlier which actually works quite well. Tracer comes with her pulse pistols and Widowmaker comes with her rifle which is known as the Widows's Kiss. She also has a grappling hook like she does in the game to get around the map. Sadly it doesn't come with any rope, so there's not much you can actually do with it, but I appreciate the inclusion nonetheless. Tracer also comes with a lightning bolt attached to her back to represent the zig-zagging trail of light that she leaves behind when she blinks in and out of time which is a nice touch. Both of their torsos have back printing with lots of nice silver details. Their heads are also double sided, giving Tracer a confident grin and Widowmaker a winking expression for when she's looking into her sniper scope. The good thing about their weapons being brick-built is that you can convert the Widow's Kiss from its sniper rifle configuration to its submachine gun mode by simply removing the barrel and scope. The Build Aside from a bit of SNOT, the build is pretty basic and quick. The Completed Build Once you finish the satellite drone and put it on its charge station, you're done. EZ GB (Easy, Good Build). As I mentioned earlier, the XR-9 is the payload of the Watchpoint: Gibraltar map where you need to escort it to the rocket so that Winston can launch it into space and re-establish Overwatch's communications network. Below you will see a screenshot from the game. I'd say they nailed the look of the drone and its charge station. One thing I noticed, though, is that they moved the "WP-G" text off from the center of the station since they can't print in the center, but that's okay. The way they used a hinged window frame to allow the drone's head to peek out of the hull is so simple yet brilliant, and the use of hinges for the engine intakes is pretty clever too. The whole thing has a very sleek look. I love how they used those black curved wedge slopes to round out the front of the wings and the nose. The only thing that bugs me a bit is how the stabilizer fins stick out so much at the back. It would have been nice if they could have used some inverted slopes to make the transition between the fins and the body a bit smoother, but oh well. I like the use of the profiled 2x2 bricks for the engine exhausts. It looks especially aerodynamic when viewed from above. Here you can also see that the engines are firmly held in place via Technic connections. Play Features Even though this is just a simple drone that moves from one point to another in the game, the set designers were able to fit some play features in it. The 2x3 tiles in the center of the XR-9 can be removed to reveal a small cockpit that you can seat a minifigure in. Of course, since it's an automated drone, it doesn't make much sense to have a cockpit, but I suppose it could just as well be a maintenance hatch with the drone's computer inside it. There is also a storage compartment in the back that contains a health pack like the ones that you find hidden around the maps in the game. Again, there is no such thing on the XR-9 in the game (unless there's some secret hack that I don't know about), but the health pack looks great and adds play value, so I'm fine with it. Spare Parts There are a few small studs and things left over after the build, including extras of the rare white neck bracket and red pin holder tile. Ratings Design: 5/5 - The designers managed to recreate the satellite drone from the game perfectly and the fact that you get one of the check point markers with it to use as a stand is great. Build: 3/5 - Aside from one or two clever part uses, the build is pretty average. Minifigs: 5/5 - 2 Minifigs is not a lot considering that you get twice that many in Star Wars sets of this size, but the two that we got come with great new hairpieces, double-sided heads, multiple accessories, and a satisfying amount of detail. Playability: 3/5 - You can swoosh the drone and open its secret compartments which give you decent amount of playability, but there's not much else you can do with it. Parts: 4/5 - There are more rare parts in this set than I was expecting. The printed elements and the new gun molds are especially neat. Not a bad for such a small set. Price: 4/5 - 11.6 cents per piece isn't ideal, especially with only 2 figs, but it's not bad, and the new molds make up for it a bit. Overall: 4/5 - This is a pretty good little set. If you're just looking to dip your toes in the Overwatch theme, this is not a bad way to do it. The minifigs are great, the set is accurate to the game, and it includes some cool parts, all for a decent price. Plus it's a nice addition to 75975 Watchpoint: Gibraltar. See my review of that set to see how the two can be combined. Thanks for reading and please check out my other Overwatch reviews! I think what they did makes sense since the black part does cover over half of her head. They just didn’t do it well. Yes. There are a few at the end of the review.
-
It has also been implied that she may have decelerated aging due to her medical technology. By the way, Amazon already has some of the sets except Bastion and D.Va/Reinhardt on sale!

Reaper's cape is the classic thin kind while McCree's is the spongier new type interestingly.
-
Welcome to EB! I assume you're not from the US? The price does seem a bit high in other countries.
-
I probably should have included this in the review, but anyway, here is a picture of both Reaper's and McCree's capes unfolded. Ironically, Reaper's cape sort of looks like a skull. I'm not sure if this cape really works for Batman, but here you go. I'm sure it would look great on the Nick Fury from the Helicarrier though which I sadly don't have.

Sorry for the bad lighting, but I hope these answer your questions.
-
They are in that picture, above the tip of the brick separator. Do you need a different angle?
-
Fair enough. Exo Force was certainly the pinnacle of Lego mechs and nothing has really compared to those since then except maybe the Exo Suit, hence why I couldn't give this a full score even though I do think they look accurate. I've been seeing mods and mocs of D.Va's mech already popping up on the web with all kinds of color schemes such as dark blue or black and orange which might be more your cup of tea.
-
Not a bad idea. I do have the Graves figure, so here you go. Not a bad combo, but I think I prefer the official hairpiece.
-
I think this one might look a bit small next to those sets, but I'm glad you like it! Here you go. And check out the image that I added at the end of the review as well. Overwatch Minifigs by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Yes, the minifigs are all pretty great otherwise which makes it so much more disappointing to have this persistent printing issue. I think Overwatch fans will just be happy to see locations from the game represented in Lego as I was, but we'll see how the set performs. Thanks. It's good to see that these sets appeal to non-Overwatch fans too and inspire them to create their own designs with them. And to be fair, your gripes about the interior are easily fixed as well.

Hooray! Only the 4th day (still the 3rd over here on the west coast) and I already got a manatee! Can't wait for the prize reveals now! Thanks again to CopMike and Siegfried! I'll send my address shortly. I bet next year the background will also be a manatee. It's manatee madness I tell you!

What should Santa look like? Well, if he goes around eating cookies and milk at every single house in the world in one night, he should look something like this by the end of the day: Thanks for doing this fun raffle again! Good luck everyone.

Well, most of the game takes place on Earth and there are no Martians as far as we're aware, so a whole subtheme is unlikely, but both Winston and Wrecking Ball originated from that moon base, so it's important enough to warrant at least one set based on that map. It could come with Wrecking Ball and a launch mechanism for his mech (even though Hammond didn't become Wrecking Ball until he landed on Earth). If they base the set on the final checkpoint, it could also contain a rover.

To all who come to this happy thread, welcome! As you may know, I'm a huge Disney fan, so after the popularity of the Purist Superhero Figs thread, I figured it would be great to have a similar thread dedicated to creating purist Disney minifigs! Since it will probably be a while until we get another series of Disney CMFs (if we get one at all!) it's up to us to fill up the roster of minifigs based on Disney movies. Anything from TV shows, short films, animated features, and live-action films is welcome here! Flesh skin-toned figs are preferred since they look more accurate and fit in with the CMFs (unless the character has a different skin color in the source material of course), but yellow figs are accepted as well. Allow me to start by sharing some of my creations. First off, here is a pure Joy from Inside Out. I made her yellow since she always has that golden glow. The Cyborg hair actually suits her pretty well. By the way, if you want an official Joy minifig as well as the other emotions, please support my Inside Out Ideas project! Pure Joy by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Next we have the Sultan and his trusted advisor Jafar along with Jago from Aladdin. The sultan's turban doesn't fit on his head completely due to the beard. He could use a cape, but sadly there are no tan capes. I'm pretty happy with Jafar, even though his skin is not the right tone. Sultan and Jafar by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Lilo & Stitch is probably the most under-represented property in Lego, so here are some figs to fix that: Lilo herself, Pleakley, and Cobra Bubbles. Lilo looks a little... boyish, but that's just because the head and hair that are most accurate for her come from male minifigs. Lilo, Pleakley, and Cobra Bubbles by Okay Yaramanoglu, on Flickr Also, this isn't mine, but somebody made a Beast using the minidoll head: So what combos can you come up with to make our Lego Disney dreams come true? Please share your creations along with a little description!

These sets look a-Mei-zing (despite the lack of an actual Meinifig)! And some of them seem ridiculously cheap for licensed sets given the part counts! I love the inclusion of Pharmercy, one of my favorite strategies. All the builds look great and that Bastion is heaps better than that stupid overpriced Omnic version thanks to its ability to transform alone, although I wish it came with a minifig-scale version as well. That little health pack in the Hanzo vs. Genji set is a nice touch and makes me wish they would have one of the large ones somewhere as well, but who knows, maybe there is one hidden in the Dorado building or the rocket. It's odd that the backs of the boxes just show a slight variation of what's already on the front of the box and no play features or anything, but oh well. The only really disappointing thing is the duplicate Reaper. I know the one in the Gibraltar set has those "ghost legs", but come on, they could've at least given him a different skin in one of the sets. Aside from that, a nice selection of spot-on minifigs, and that new gun mold is neat, so I can't wait to get all of these sets! Let's hope the theme does well so that we can get another wave with the rest of the characters and maybe even a CMF line!

Sad, but true. I've only seen the first two episodes and so far it's just ok. Cellshaded animation usually doesn't look very good and here it's no different, although it looks better when the scene is not in broad daylight. While some scenes in Rebels looked like gorgeous McQuarrie paintings, this series looks like a cutscene from a Wii game most of the time. And yes, it's very kiddie, but CW and Rebels started out this way too and got much better later on, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. The lead character is tolerable. I groaned at most of his slapstick more than I did at anything in Rebels, but he does seem like a good kid and he will probably get more competent in time. What I did like is that this show seems to be what a lot of people wanted Rebels to be: A SW show with no force sensitive heroes whatsoever (Unless you count Leia I guess). Just rebellious pilots doing their thing. And seeing all those PT, OT, and ST species and droids in one place was indeed a nice touch as made it feel more like a hodgepodge of aliens than any cantina scene before it. I also liked that Poe Dameron was only in it for a little bit before he left and I hope he stays away. I don't want to see that hot-headed idiot any more than I have to. Personally, I find the First Order not threatening at all despite their ridiculous amount of resources, so I almost find it comical that they're setting them up as the villains of this show. Then again, the fact that they are run by cartoonish one-dimensional characters makes them a much better fit for a kids show like this than for the movies. I think this show has potential, though, so I'll wait and see how it develops.

This is one of my entries for the Incredibles contest on Lego Ideas. It is meant to take place after the events of Incredibles 2. After moving back to the suburbs, the Incredibles invited their friends over for a BBQ to celebrate Dash's birthday! Dash is playing with his new toys and accidentally splashes Violet with water as he runs over the pool, but she's able to deflect it using her shield powers. Meanwhile, Elastigirl is putting the finishing touches on the decorations as she hangs up a banner by herself by stretching her arms. Frozone has just joined the party and is also using his powers to help decorate by turning the Incredibles' fountain into an ice sculpture. Mr. Incredible is by the grill holding a huge platter of food with his super strength. Jack-Jack is helping him grill the meat with his fire powers. Edna is throwing away an old cape that she found in Bob's closet while a racoon is stealing some trash. Just as they're about to eat, the party is crashed by Bomb Voyage and the Underminer, the two super villains that have escaped the Incredibles in the past! Bomb Voyage is about to literally blow up the Incredibles' inbox with a mail bomb while the Underminer emerges in a smaller version of his Tunneler which causes a pizza delivery truck to crash into a fire hydrant. Presents, cake, and fighting bad guys? Best birthday ever! I tried to include as many details as possible in this scene, including a few of the easter eggs that you see in all the Pixar movies, such as the pizza planet truck, A113, the famous Luxo ball and lamp, and a character voiced by John Ratzenberger. Can you spot them all? Please also check out my improved purist Bomb Voyage and Frozone minifigs here. Thanks for looking and have an incredible day!

It's been a while since I posted any new figs here, so here are some Incredibles characters I've been working on. I was very disappointed when the Incredibles 2 sets featured a minifig of Mr. Incredible that was basically just an inferior version of the CMF one instead of the much more movie accurate semi-bigfig that is seen in the video game, so I set out to try to create my own more barrel-chested Mr. Incredible and this is the result. I'm quite happy with it, although it turned out bigger than I hoped. I also made purist figs of Bomb Voyage and Frozone. These are different from the ones in my Dash's Birthday Bash MOC since I wasn't allowed to use any licensed parts in that contest entry. I'm not super happy with the latter. While the Cpt. Cold torso is pretty much perfect for him, it's not the same color as his legs, and there is surprisingly no headgear that correctly represents his visor, so the best I could do was the Falcon head. Seriously, why did we not get an official fig of him? Anyway, here's a shot of Mr. Incredibly Swole's back: I hope you like them, and as always, feel free to share your ideas and your own purist Disney figs here!

Haha, yeah, he certainly seems less animated than the original Aladdin. (Sorry, couldn't resist.) But it was only a few seconds, so I'll wait to see more of his acting to make a judgement. LOL. I think you're thinking of that other Disney movie with a magic lamp where the evil sorcerer transforms into a bird.

I haven't seen any spam since the security questions have been implemented, so nice work guys! Make EB great spam-free again! Build a firewall!

My excitement level for this rehash: Sorry, but without the top-notch animation or Robin Williams' talent and energy, there's just no way it's going to be nearly as good as the original. And now they added Lilo & Stitch to their never-ending list of live-action remakes. Although I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a bit curious to see the awesome opening scene from that movie recreated with some Star Wars-level special effects. On a brighter note: True, this one is better since we finally get an idea of what the plot is actually about, although I'm afraid they may have given away too much as I can already predict a lot that's going to happen. And yeah, it seems quite possible that Yesss is one of those surprise villains that Disney loves to have in their movies ever since Frozen got so popular. I don't think the Deep Web is going to play much of a role though. It probably only appears in that one scene just so they can make a few jokes about it. Like you said, it's already surprising that it's in the movie at all. I can see spambots or something being the Cybugs of this film though. They certainly have been the arch nemesis of EB for the longest time, although I think the admins have finally found a way to keep them out.

Adding some modulars is definitely a good idea if you can afford them. Detectives Office and the Pet Shop are the two that fit a New York aesthetic the best. Some kind of bank is always a good addition to any superheroes display considering villains usually like to rob those. Brick Bank seems to be the obvious (and currently the only) choice, but if that's out of your budget and you're able to get some retired sets at a decent price, something like 3661 would work too. 60008 also has a nice building that could easily be converted into a bank. You could also use the little stores that come in sets like 6864, 76057, and the ATM heist that has already been mentioned, and maybe even stack them to create taller buildings. There's also those smaller 3-in1 modulars. For example, you could get 31050 Corner Deli and modify it into a 3-story building with a shawarma restaurant at the bottom. And I don't know how you would add it into your display, but if you can figure out a way, I can highly recommend getting 76057. It's an excellent set and looks great in any Marvel display! You could even get two to combine them into a full bridge. Avengers Tower is kind of essential for a Marvel display, though, and it's supposed to be big. Maybe you can display it behind the other buildings? And it's a shame you can't get the Bugle as that's another iconic Marvel building that would have fit in perfectly here. Good luck with this and keep us updated!

Hello there. For the past few weeks, I have had trouble from time to time with opening Eurobricks and navigating around in it. This happens regularly (about twice a day), but only sometimes. And when it happens, I try to log into EB from a different computer, but I get the same problem. I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing such problems. This hasn't happened before, and I'm pretty sure that it's not the fault of my computer, so could it be that there is something wrong with the EB server or something?

Yes, it looks pretty, and Emilly Blunt does a good job from what I can tell, but it just looks like the first movie again. Did we wait this long for a sequel just to watch Mr. Banks' son learn the same lesson as his father (which also happens to be the same lesson Christopher Robin learned in his movie this year)? Sorry to be so negative, but I'm just so tired of all these reboots.
