Even though Polly Pockets and the minidolls are similar, they are different. The minidolls are LEGO plastic, and Polly Pockets are rubbery plastic. Minidolls can be taken apart. So they are similar, yet different.

Agreed. LEGO wouldn't wanna disrespect girls or make them feel awkward in any way, so that is goodbye to the hot babes in underwear...
-
I've only been to the LEGO Store thus far to pick up some sets, but they are on a display in front, and have a shelf area like all of the themes are. I do love all these new colors! I wonder if these will appeal in other themes? Back to the underwear thig, I dont think LEGO would go for it.

Lego Batman 2 announced!
Perry the Platypus replied to Professor Flitwick's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Well, I guess it has wen confirmed! Seems fun. Any news on when it will release? -
I'm all for it. Especially if we get some stripped dolls! I bet girls would feel awkward buyig a slumber party set with girls in their panties, but it's part of the human body. There is no lies about what lies underneath those clothes...

With bras and nightgowns? I would buy a bunch of those sets, and create an army of bra women. I love my twisted brain...
-
I'll be there.
-
Yeah! Emma in a bikini would look hot... I mean, ugh...
-
Right you are. I don't know if LEGO was trying to be sexist with that figure or what!
-
I see no breast lines on THAT one!

Just picked up some Friends sets. I'm making a sweet mech for Olivia using white and Medium Azure pores. Looking nice so far! I'm trying to make it look big and robotic, while still using Friends pieces and keeping it girlish.

Female minifigures don't even like the minidolls!
-
I better start building, and making it bizarre!

Heh, I'll do it. For the girls! My daughter seems pretty excited about the new Friends line. I might as well bring her along. My son could care less. I do have about a hundred bucks from Christmas, so if I like one, I'll probably buy all of them. It would make for some good father-daughter bonding time.

Oh God. I'm going to the LEGO Store on Saturday to buy my first Friends sets. I wonder people will think about a grown man buying a stereotypically girly LEGO set. All I want is Medium Azure to make my Perry the Platypus!

2012 looks amazing so far! Just received the January magazine, the cover of the Green Ninja is cool, and I love Mezmo and Lasha! Also, is it just me, or is Nya Samaurai X?

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
Perry the Platypus replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
Just received the January Club Magazine. A comic was included! Lex Luthor and Joker team up to destroy Batman. -
Olivia. I like the minidoll, and she seems to be the tomboy of the group.
-
Wait for the Summer wave. There will be nine more sets. I bet LEGO wants us to buy all the sets to collect all the figures, so we can do "scenes" with them.
-
What's up with the lack of Breez and Thornraxx? Does LEGO not like them or something?
-
When I first saw pictures of this new theme, I was completely skeptical, but now, not anymore. The designs that went into these sets are pure genius. I may sound like a geek, but I'm a sucker for the plethora of new parts in the Friends line. I'll go to the LEGO Store or Toys "R" Us to see if they have these things in stock. The only thing I see wrong with this are the trashy minidolls, so I'll probably give them to my daughter. Cheers to LEGO for releasing such a unique, new theme.

Hmm. I'm counting on it. They look like some very great sets! Speeda Demon seems interestig. Can't wait to see pictures!
-
No, it is obviously Skiddley Whiffers!
-
Yes. In July of 2013, to be exact. It seems like a very cool game! I hope it turns into a theme. I want Agent P minifig...
