21348 Lego Ideas Dungeons & Dragons and D&D CMF
Pirate_King_1982 replied to Black Falcon's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Will reserve judgement until I see further pics. However I do like the the dragon be detached from the building and is a stand alone build. I hope it won’t be too hard to Figbarf some of the figs to be yellow skinned as I’m not really a fan of fleshies.- 357 replies

[MOC] Orders from the Governor, Santo Domingo 1674
Pirate_King_1982 replied to A_Goodman's topic in Pirate MOCs
Absolutely stunning. Great choice of minifigs, the buildings look amazing especially with the deterioration hinting at the buildings age, and the flora is fantastic too. You should be very proud of your work. Kudos.- 6 replies

Looks a tiny bit bit like a Leman Russ Battle Tank from Warhammer 40,000. Very nice build regardless.

Which island type do you like the most?
Pirate_King_1982 replied to LetsBrick's topic in LEGO Pirates
Personally I like slopes (POBB) and curved slopes (Eldorado). I can’t really explain why beyond that I like how they look out of all the options provided. -

Anyone who thinks LEGO are greedy and evil hasn’t dealt with Games Workshop. -
What a beautiful ship. Kudos. I look forward to seeing her built from bricks.

A lovely selection of sets and a fantastic start to a Lego pirates collection.👍

I actually prefer six wide vehicles. So much so I’m looking into how to modify the very few four wide cars into six wide cars.

Which Pirates sets have (or may have) problem with brittle brown bricks?
Pirate_King_1982 replied to zinnn's topic in LEGO Pirates
By that rational the red cannon holders should’ve broken too. -

Pirate_King_1982 replied to zinnn's topic in LEGO Pirates
Brown has always been a bad colour for cannons. I remember one year I had a pirate themed birthday party and ended up with five or six harbour sentry sets that came with brown cannons and every cannon carriage or holder or whatever you want to call it broke. In contrast I owned heaps of sets with red cannon holders like the Clipper, Eldorado Fortress, Renegade Runner andSabre Island and not one of them ever broke. -
Modular 1973 Ford XB Falcon GT 351 Hardtop (Yeah, Mad Max)

It’s been a while since I’ve seen the first film, I forgot about the panel van. I look forward to seeing both of those MOCs. Keep up the great work. Kudos. -

Fantastic stuff. Kudos. As a Holden fan though, you should do the HQ Interceptor that Nightrider absconds in at the beginning of the movie. Yeah, the means by which Max gets his interceptor back, along with both Furiosa’s and Immortan Joe’s backstories are included in a four part comic series. I have them or at at least had them in single issue format at one point but I’m not quite sure where they are now that I am reminded of them. I think I may buy the four part collected volume at some point. I love all the Mad Max films, though the second, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior is my favourite. -
Fantastic MOC. Absolutely love it. It’s a very accurate recreation of the game, it reminds me I should start playing it again very soon.

I’m the opposite way inclined and I plan on upscaling the buildings in this set and making them larger to match the Ideas Blacksmith. -
[MOC] The Evil Baron Raymondo's Spanish War Galleon MOC Based on Sid Meier's Pirates!
Pirate_King_1982 replied to azog's topic in Pirate MOCs
Beautiful ship. You can see the subtle influences of the POBB ship although it is quit clearly it’s own entity. It also very closely resembles the ship in the source material you’ve shared and it is very easily recognisable as the ship in the screen shots of the game. I’ve never played ‘Sid Meiers Pirates’, but it does look like it would have been a lot of fun. What game system/s did it come out on? Anyway it’s a great looking MOC, you should be very proud. Kudos. -

Could you see yourself making instructions available for this wonderful ship? I for one would buy them with the intention of building the ship. -

[OFFICIAL] 40710 LEGOLAND Pirate Splash Battle
Pirate_King_1982 replied to Yperio_Bricks's topic in LEGO Pirates
Some of the parts, especially the staff torso, will be very handy for the POBB theme park ride I’ve got planned. Im going to try and use products from these guys https://en.gobrick.co.kr/index.html to have rowboats move around the Pirates of Barracuda Bay Island. I think it’ll be really cool. Im going to have an assembled, intact Barracuda for my actual Pirates display, but use the island as a theme park attraction for my City display. I may even build Marooned Marin’s version of the ship for my actual Pirates display and have it anchored near Skull Island with Read Beards House by Massenzio on Rebrickable https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-105796/Massenzio/pirate-skull-island-with-redbeards-house/#details , as I fell the latter is a far better land based build than POBB. -
Your Barracuda and your Pearl are both very lovely ships. You should be very proud of the work you’ve done. Do you think it would be difficult to mount firing cannons in this ship? Also as others have said I would love to see you tackle the Clipper next and maybe even the Queen Anne’s Revenge.

Beautiful.

There’s actually some really cool minifigs in both the police and fire sets. I really like the variant Duke Detain, the CSI and the fire woman without the full uniform in the tank top. Edit: also is that lattice a new bit or is it some of the old fences turned on their side? Edit 2: there’s actually some really useful looking stickers or printed pieces in some of these sets. Hopefully they’re printed pieces and find their way to PAB online.
