    Jurassic Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

It has been pretty quiet here for some time, does anyone know when the Instagram set photo leaks will be posted? Isn't it usually around this time that they are revealed?

    Jurassic Properties 2024 - Rumors & Discussion

I’m hoping that the style of the Bumpy-build will be compatible and in the same scale with the buildable Rex from the 2022 JP set. For else I don’t really see any interest into getting it. Crossing my fingers on that the Stegosaurus will at least be fully posable, tail, legs, neck. I hope that new larger leg pieces will be made for them as seen in the Lego game but honestly I’m fine with it if they use the general herbivore legs. Definitely excited for this wave.

Maybe a stupid idea but since JW is turning 10 next year TLG may revert back to making sets ‘indirectly’ based on that movie again, this because the sets from 2015 weren’t really living up to the movie and were quite generic in my eyes. It might also be more profitable for Lego themselves. I personally hope we could see sets based on some of the attractions or the Innovation center. I’m really keeping my fingers crossed on a new Stegosaurus aswell, we need more herbivores Really hoping we could see some TLW sets some day too, that movie might controversially be one of my favorites out of the bunch

Thank you so much for the information, hopefully Lego will be able to do something with this. Also, not really JW-related, but yall have seen what happened to just2good? Lol

    Jurassic Park/World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Literally the set I’ve been dreaming about for so long. TLW has to be one of my favorites. Crazy how we got dinosaurs like Stygimoloch, pyroraptor, therizinosaur, etc. before such an authentic creature like the Stego. No to mention the absence of a molded Parasaurolophus aswell. What baffles me the most is they’ve got the most beautiful designs for them in the Lego game but they don’t really utilize them. I’m guessing the sticker in the Visitor center set is teasing something. Really hope this theme won’t die and becomes similar in consistency to SW and HP.

    I guess non-lego related.

    Jurassic Park/World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I couldn't agree more with all you've said here. I think that after we've gotten a Stegosaurus and possibly a Parasaurolophus in physical form, that it would make for the 'foundation' for all the species that might come after if the theme continues because of the wide variety of molds we'd have then, like reusing most pieces, and if necessary only making 1 new mold per dino, like for the head with the different related species to Triceratops. As for JPIII, there're actually quite a few scenes I can think of that could be made in Lego form, like a remake from the Lego Studios set with the plane crash (with a new modern Spino), or the aviary sequence, the boat attack on the river, or maybe even Alan Grant's lecture lol (jk). JPIII might also be our only chance of getting a Ceratosaurus because there is actually one short scene in which it appears, in the whole franchise weirdly enough. A set based around the MCC sounds lovely, I've in fact already seen a bunch of MOC's around the internet of it, and if it'd come with a baby Rex aswell that would be great as we need more juvenile variants. For TLW Lego honestly has a lot of great scenes to choose from, but one other set that's so iconic is the first Stegosaurus encounter of Ian and the others. It might aswell be a display set with one of Ian's quotes at the bottom from that scene. Lastly, one specific character that should become a minifig imo is Peter Ludlow, he's my favorite character from TLW! I also wondered if anyone has been able to buy the Visitor Centre set and has tried to compare and maybe even connect it to the JP set from back in 2018, because for example they both have a kitchen- and a lab section, and with the diagonal plates aswell the sets just feel made for each other to me.

Tiago Catarino just posted a video of an in-depth look on all the five sets - and I have to say they look much better outside of the box than inside lol Also, that Parasaurolophus (+ a juvenile) design on one of the stickers from the Visitor Center set looks great, really hope we could maybe see it in a wave for next year maybe (TLW sets??).

True, the new Trike does look very nice, as it's similar to my profilepic aswell, lol. But I have to say that the green one from 2019 is my personal favorite since it's color pattern looks very unique and pleasant. I honestly can't wait for him to do the Brachio set so really looking forward to that.

Alright, seems like someone on Youtube made a full short already with all of the sets, and I have to say that (just like almost every Lego set in general) they look way better in real-life, although, I really wonder how they already got them on display so soon, lol https://www.youtube.com/shorts/BHHLhAQaf6w

Is it known if somebody already owns the sets and has shown them in a picture or video?

    Jurassic Park/World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I was just saying, I don't have a lot of knowledge about it either One thing I do hope is that the body piece of the Brachio will be atleast half to one inch thicker than the one from Rexy for example. Yes, I understand they do it to keep the mold size limited, but I can't imagine how skinny it would look for else if you'd view it from the front

Maybe Lego just has their agreements with these websites to leak glimpses of the upcoming sets to the public.

I hope that the Brachio's head will atleast be slightly bigger than the Theri one. A seperate neck piece is a must too.

    Jurassic Park/World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

Maybe it's just a mistake, exclusive to that German website. It's absolutely lovely to hear that Brachio will be molded entirely instead of those Avatar hybrids; I hope that all the parts will be exclusive tho, because the only logically reusable part would be the Rexy tail, but that would probably look a bit too skinny tbh. Also, I'd rate the Brachio a solid 9/10 if it also had a seperate jaw piece, like the Gallimimus, but, thinking about it realistically, nothing will top it's amazing design from the Lego JW game, unless they'll make it identical to that one ofc, although I may be a bit too picky and overexcited here Annnnd, my young JP Henry Wu version prediction for the Visitor Center was correct so I'm pretty surprised about that haha

    Jurassic Park/World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

So, you're saying that the body and the tail of the Brachio alone are as long as the full T.rex and it would be even longer if the head and neck would be put horizontaly? If that's the case it would definitely be a very reasonable size considering the set's price and that it includes a large tree and Jeep aswell. Honestly, this set sounds like it may be one of the greatest deals for it's price point, lol

    Jurassic Park/World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I’m really just hoping that we’ll get a young JP version of Henry Wu, but there is a slight change he may be in the Visitor Center set because I don’t think they have a lot of options of minifigs to include there; unless they’re planning on including Alan, Ellie and the kids again, lol

    Jurassic Park/World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

(Long post ahead). The Ford Explorer being included in the Trike set is of course a good assumption, but just to remind that the Ford Explorer was incredibly detailed in last years JP set and is an 18+ build, and they'd have to scale it down for the set which wouldn't do it justice at all. I'd see the rest of the pieces being sidebuilds, like trees, rocks and a possible (detailed) fence which obviously wasn't directly shown in the movie but was in the game, but that probably doesn't mean its canon? Idk. What I'd really like to see being in it is the most famous big pile of shit, that would be hilarious Yes, I'd like that too as well, but those quote piece only come in few 18+ diorama sets so that isn't happening, maybe it could be somehow put into the building instuctions itself when you finish builing it. In my opinion the best combination of minifigs would be Harding, Grant, Ellie (with dual-modled arms for gloves) and Ian. It's really eird to me that Gennaro was absent in the T. Rex Breakout set as a fifth minifig in the first place I really like your callback to the Dino attack theme and I agree Maybe if they choose to make waves based on the other movies from the first trilogy, we may be seeing like in 2024 a wave based on TLW with a dinosaur chase set with the InGen hunters and a Parasaurolophus, I think that would fit perfectly, and maybe a (18+?) set of Ian and Sarah's discovery of the Stegosauri Just imagine a battle pack with Dieter Stark desperately trying to escape from a pack of Compsognathus

Honestly, that new leaf piece they're using for this set has a lot of potential for forest builds. And I love how we will be able to recreate the meme from the movie 'One does not simply walk into Mordor.' Lol

The set looks absolutely gorgeous, didn't except to see this from Lego at all, it honestly looks like a great moc. LOTR fans are really in for a treat right now

Idk if it's unnecessary, but I just noticed that Dustin's hat-hairpiece from the Lego stranger things set would have looked absolutely perfect on Josh (the gyrosphere operator guy) from the 2020 Indo vs Anky set, for if they would ever remake that set in someway or make that character return lol It would look perfect if they recolored the piece

Does anyone know if there will be any Lego related stuff at Superbowl? I'm not too well-know with this event because I'm European.

    Jurassic Park/World 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I think he means that Lego will always try to look for ways to reuse any pieces for new dinosaurs if they can so they don’t have to make new ones, for budget reasons obviously. But, I do think the Brachio will be an exception because of it’s proportions and mass, so it might be one of the few to have all-new molds

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlsRFCu0LqE This doesn't have anything to do with the upcoming wave but I just wanted to share this amazing video showing a JW moc based of Blue's squad raptor paddock. It's really one of the best MOC's that i've ever seen which I recently discovered and I honestly think he deserves a raise and more recognision. Yes, he is spanish but it's worth the watch, all credits to him!
