  1. To all who responded, thank you! It seems that the prevalent issue is the amount of power and stress on these parts. I will try to implement the new cv's in the model at some point and redo the steering or gear down the drive train entirely. The goal with this model was to combine a rock crawler with a trophy truck, and I expected these types of issues.
  2. I made this as an experiment and i'm having trouble designing a working drivetrain. The issue is that whenever I start it, either a link falls off, or the cv joints in the steering break. Here are some pictures. Here is an image of the placement of the cv joint on one side of the steering. I have made an effort to put stabilizers of some sort around it, but nothing has worked so far. Surprisingly, the floating axle connections do not break. (Most likely because of the use of the new cv joints) If you have any solutions, please let me know. Thanks!

Possibly, and you're welcome to try. Please show me a picture if you build one.
  5. This is a fully functional model of the Tatra 815-7 8x8. It is driven by six L motors and steered by a M motor. This project took a little under a month to complete. Its full tatra suspension helps it do better off road. There are two seats and a working steering wheel. I was originally going to use a buwizz, but I decided to use two 9V batteries instead.More details at:https://www.instructables.com/Lego-RC-Tatra-815-7-8x8/ And:https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-90413/saulquinn/rc-tatra-815-7-8x8/#details

    New buggy chassis (Large)

I was thinking the same thing. But unfortunately, using two of the motors creates a power surge that shuts it down. This happens because the 3.0 only uses ludicrous mode; you can't change the speed settings. Thanks for the tip. I couldn't figure out how to put pictures on earlier.
  7. I built a new buggy chassis last night. I was wondering what buggy I should model it after. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. It features full soft and long travel suspension, over 5 studs of ground clearance, and 3 buwizz. It is powered by two buwizz motors and is steered by a powered up L motor. I had to use 3 buwizz because (1) the buwizz will shut down from power surge if I only use one and (2) I only have one buwizz 3.0. Thus each of the two buwizz 2.0 power a buwizz motor and the buwizz 3.0 is used for steering. For more photos, see: http://bricksafe.com/pages/saulemmetquinn/buggy-chassis-large/
