Are the plans for this magnificent F-4 MOC available for purchase somewhere? I could not find it on Rebrickable.

I went and read the "Terms" in the link from Koalayummies. I don't understand why would anyone sign up for that. I have bought several MOCs from Rebrickable from several designers, I and enjoy MOCs as much or more than actual Lego sets. My approach to building an MOC is completely different than a regular Lego set. But I have no idea how much money people can make creating and selling MOC Instructions, or if it is enough to be a full time job designing MOCs. In any case, I saw some beautiful designs in all areas of interest in that Studio Newsletter, and it seems sad they are not all available for purchase so people can build them. Oh well, back to Rebrickable.

Thanks to both of you for all the info! I don't understand that system, but it's okay. I will have to research this topic a bit more. In the meantime I'll find another castle to build.

Yes! Yes! Yes! That is exactly the design. I just tried LEt.sGO on Rebrickable and found two MOCs from someone using that handle, but not this castle. I am new enough at this that I do not understand why that MOC design is not easily available for purchase, especially since it seems to get such good reviews. Thank you very much for your quick and helpful response!!! If you know of other sites like Rebrickable where this MOC might be available, I would be interested.

I am relatively new to Lego, and have built several Lego Technic sets and MOCs. I have a question, and have no idea who to ask. I received an email a while ago titled "Studio Newsletter" from the BrickLink Team. It showcased a number of very interesting MOCs, listed as the Most Liked MOCs of '21. I saw one that I would like to build if I could find the instructions to buy. It is very different from what I have been building, and I wanted to try something new. It is called, "The Medieval Fortress (Castle)" designed by someone named thomaslajon from France. But I cannot find that MOC anywhere besides in that newsletter. Of course I looked on Rebrickable, searched for the MOC and the designer, came up empty. I found lots of other castles, and will buyanother set of MOC instructions and build one if I can't find that one. But that one appealed to me. I tried standard search engines, still nothing. I must be missing something. Are the designs in the Studio Newsletter just prototypes or future MOC offerings? I would appreciate any education on this. Thank you in advance.

I am in the middle of building this MOC. This MOC is impressive in every way. Loxlego did a remarkable job designing this model, the instructions are clear and logical. The model itself is robust and can stand being handled during the build without falling apart. The photo instructions are well done and easy to read. I will definitely buy and build more of Loxlego's MOCs.

I posted more photos of the Artemy Zotov Audi R8 on the Eurobricks group page on Flickr. I had to make some parts substitutions and a few changes because all the Lego parts available in red (according to the MOC design) are not made in blue. I used only Lego parts, but some are slightly different, but compatible parts. If anyone else wants to build this in blue, let me know and I can post more details on the parts I used.

I just finished building this model in blue! I had to make a few modifications since all the parts are not available in blue, but I made all changes using only Lego parts.

You have a very good point. They are two different skill sets. I keep finding MOC instructions that can be improved, only by comparing ones that are super easy to follow. I noticed another feature on some MOC instructions that I like, that I didn't miss until I built one MOC that didn't have it. The parts used in each step listed in a box or whatever, up at the top of the page, is immensely useful. Sometimes I can't figure out what part to use, especially on MOCs that use photos in the instructions. Janotechnic on ReBrickable is for me the gold standard. He creates excellent MOCs and his instructions are easy to follow and logical. His MOCs reflect that he is an automotive engineer (he mentions that somewhere in his profile.) I built one of his MOCs as my first one, and even though I had never built an MOC before, it was easy to follow and the end result looks great. I kind of compare all others to his work. Maybe it is obvious to everyone else, but what is "LDD" in this context? I googled the acronym and there are so many meanings I can't figure it out. Thanks in advance.

One more thing I have started to look for. Some MOC instructions are a series of photos, others are pdfs from Studio or wherever. I find the pdfs from Studio easier to interpret and follow, because each step is often highlighted, either in a brighter or different color, or the newly added parts have red framing around them.

Good idea using tecnic beams to reinforce a structure, when it is on the inside and not visible. I have seen MOCs that fell apart easily, and using such bricks would be a big help. Thanks for that tip!

Another thing I am learning is to try to figure out which parts are on the interior structure of an MOC, and will not be seen. Those parts can be any color, as long as I can keep track of them during the build. I am currently sourcing parts for a large MOC with over 5800 pieces. If I can use parts from my spares stock, even if they are a different color but won't be visible, I can save money on buying parts. A few MOC designers make a list of which parts can be any color but so far, I have to go through the instructions and try to figure out which parts can be any color. In my case it is worth it to save a lot of money on parts.
