For those of us unfamiliar with what loco you’re talking about, perhaps a reference picture would help.

in terms of colours though, two quick points.
Lego bricks are in a limited range of colours, most of the time it is choosing ‘close enough’.

And with the exception of a handful of colours, anyone can grab some colours and see how they look in real life. Have you done that? Not worrying about shape, just considering the questions asked above, does the grey look ok? And the red?

When I tried to attach a photo the forum software says I can only post attachments of zero K

but this is what I am referring to: sp7611.jpg

UPDATE: apparently I can now post image URLs that will show up

Hey folks, it's been a while since I've had the time to lurk on Eurobricks, so please forgive me!

A few years ago, I published a book through No Starch Press with some of my six-wide train designs. You may have heard of it, most likely you didn't.

I thought “7 LEGO Train Projects” was a good book ... I’ll have to get this one too ツ

Those are some neat locomotive builds you got.

At risk of both sounding like a troll and that guy at the same time, I have a suggestion for an almost meme-worthy addition for the WXYZ:

No joke, this locomotive has a wild story behind it.

    Edit: added a link

    hah ... what a beast!

story behind it reminds me of the Fontaine Locomotive ...

was supposed to run faster using that top wheel ... but it did not. Currently building one in Lego (Well still at the finding/ordering parts stage)

I do have the electrical parts, I have scrapped 2 receivers from 40230 Technic Bucket loader I got back around 6 years ago. It also has an L motor on it but taking it out will be an absolute pain. Thanks for the complement. I do not know if I will be able to build it in real life because I do not have the money for it. That is why I might release instructions for it, in hopes to get some buyers:tongue: A new model is coming soon (PBKA Thalys) it will be much better and refined because I plan to create it over the next 2 weeks! I hope to speak again soon.

are you going to release instructions? I know someone who is looking for plans
