    10318 Concorde

I am very excited about this! I have always wanted a large scale accurate Lego plane, and after seeing the real Concorde at a museum I have found it to be a very interesting and beautiful work of engineering, and it is definitely one of my favorite planes. I’m interested to see how they build it, and if it will include features like landing gear and tilting nose. I wonder if they’ll be able to include any interior to it. It has a similar price count to the space shuttle, so I could see it being of a similar size (though likely longer and maybe a thinner fuselage). It’ll also be interesting to see the livery(s?) chosen and what scale it will be built at. Very exciting!

Well, Rivendell looks amazing! It really does look beautiful, and captures the feel of Rivendell wonderfully. All the new molds and prints are amazing, and to me seem to hint to more sets in the future. All the details like the shard Narsil, the paintings, tiles, and Bilbo’s book are amazing. I really don’t have any issues with the figures, and it is great to see so many of them. I especially love the crazy Bilbo face. The landscaping, trees, structures and river all look great as well. Really is an awesome (Though expensive) set.

Woooow this is quite the day for leaks. Both look awesome!! Rivendell looks great and has a wide selection of what appear to be great minifigures, and the buildings and trees and bridge and landscaping all look awesome. That Barad-Dur also looks massive and awesome, I really hope it will actually release, and the sooner the better. Everything looks great! And thanks for the heads up JeanGreyForever, I’m sorry I doubted you

Well, I really do hope that we do end up getting Barad-Dur, but I will remain skeptical until we get any more information. It is a good sign, though a small and not at all confirming that the images look at least plausible. If we do end up getting it, I would not be surprised if it is in addition to Rivendell. I think I stated this a while back, but I could see this theme become similar to Star Wars minus the playsets, with one or two D2Cs and a couple smaller things a year. What would surprise me would be if Rivendell turns out to be false, as we already have the piece count, price and release date, and I can’t remember an instance where we have all this information about a set and it turned out to be false. Of course anything is possible though.

    LEGO 10294 Titanic Discussion

When the Titanic sailed in April 1912, the US flag had 46 stars, which is what is included in the set. It was increased to 48 in July of the same year.

About the micro scale vs minifig scale possibilities, One thing I could see them doing is making it microscale, but at a larger microscale then hogwarts for example. As big as it is, Hogwarts is still too small to actually be to scale with the micro-figures. I could see a Rivendell that is actually to scale with the micro-figures, (around 1:80) allowing for a larger model then a smaller scale like Hogwarts, but still smaller then minifig scale, allowing for more buildings to be recreated, scenes to be reenacted, and still good detail to be included. Maybe they could even include minifigs of the fellowship with it.

I don’t see why they wouldn’t do both series , especially as all the Harry Potter D2Cs and a few of the Star Wars ones do.

Well, a giant Rivendell sounds awesome! I can’t wait to see how it is built and how the final product appears. I bet there will be a high number of minifigures included, if the giant Harry Potter sets are anything to go by. I would like the Fellowship, old Bilbo and Elrond, but we’ll see what comes!

Icons Landmark Buildings - Rumours and Discussion

Very beautiful model, all the shapes and angles are very impressive to me. It doesn’t have the same appeal as the Titanic for me, but that might just be me. Beautiful model nonetheless, but a too big and expensive for me now for what it is.

Well this is exciting! I have trouble seeing how Bag End could become 500$ though… the Ideas submission that got 10000 supporters a little while ago had under 3000 pieces, and I don’t see a D2C Bag End being much larger then that… I could be wrong though. This price point does make larger locations like Minas Tirith seem all the more likely, but we’ll see!

Maybe this theme could become more akin to the Star Wars UCS sets, with a big UCS style set or two a year, but not much else besides a couple little things (Like BrickHeadz).

I think Bag End is probably the most likely first D2C, as it is in both the Hobbit and LOTR, and could include many characters from both movies… I think another relatively likely option could be Minas Tirith, as it is arguably the main location we have not gotten a set of before, and surely one that would sell well. I would be happy with really anything, but these are just my ideas.

Well, this is exciting! I hope that Lego actually does a good wave, and not just beickheadz… I got the Tower of Orthanc last year and really enjoyed it, I agree that there is very large potential for D2Cs, hopefully we see some of them!
  14. Oh really? I guess I missed that. What did they say hinting at that?
  15. Well, there sure have been many leaks for the Razor Crest the past couple of days. Who knows, maybe we’ll get leaked pictures of the actual thing soon? Kuiil doesn’t look as bad as I expected from reading all of the negative comments on here about it, I actually kind of like it. It would be cool to see Ahsoka and the Mythrol, and I’m looking forward to seeing them. Hope we get a couple other nice figures though.
  16. Haha that’s awesome. I wonder where it will go?
  17. Woo! I am quite excited for the UCS Razor Crest, and from what we now know it seems very impressive. The sticker looks awesome for what it is, and the description does as well. And also, despite recent price increases, this set seems to be a great deal when considering price per price, especially for Star Wars! Only around 500 pieces less then the At-At, but for $320 less?? (Including upcoming price increase) Awesome!

I really like the Camaro! Big fan of the multiple stripes and customization options. That road looks awesome!
  19. Looks awesome, such a cool set!! I’m sure it’s also a great moc platform for classic space projects as well!
  20. Don't know if you guys have noticed this, but new images of both the Airbus and Material Handler have been revealed in the "Play Zone" of the Lego website: Helicopter link: https://www.lego.com/en-us/kids/sets/technic/airbus-h175-rescue-helicopter-ce96490ea71b29f6bb900d7a38b2dc48 Material Handler link: https://www.lego.com/en-us/kids/sets/technic/material-handler-189e45881d0440a79cf4533bb826880b
  21. Sounds awesome! Thanks for the info.
  22. I wasn't paying much attention to the Technic wave this year, but I quite like that helicopter! I'm assuming that the rotor will be motorized? And from what I've read it's supposed to retail for 200$, and will have 2001 pieces. Is this all accurate? Thanks!
  23. Cool build! Supported.
  24. Maybe it could look something like this?
  25. Woo! Seems exciting! Even though o don’t have much personal attachment to the original set, I still appreciate and like it a lot, so I’m excited by this prospect! I’m also new to this forum, so is a separate forum usually created for set rumor like this, such as Titanic or Optimus Prime? Should I look for one coming soon? Also, there should be another lisensed space creator expert set (likely NASA) coming out, which should also be interesting! EDIT: do you guys think it will come with some lunar surface/ base like the original? Could be cool.
