    Storage and Sorting LEGO

I had a question about how people prefer to store their minifigures, I've been concerned a lot about torso cracking that I've had in some figures between 2013-2019 mostly, and am trying to take the best course of action to prevent or minimize it. In theory keeping minifigures disassembled, or the legs not fully attached reduces the amount of pressure on the torso and can help prevent cracks. But I wonder if you stored them that way, but frequently assembled and disassembled them when wanting to use them, would frequency or infrequent assembley more likely to increase cracks than just leaving them assembled would? I'm curious if anyone has experience with the subject?

I feel like Stan Lee would have been a better choice. But I was already pretty content with the minifigure roster, so this is just an added bonus. it's kinda a fun idea. Final thoughts might depend on how many figures in the tower have leg printing.

    LEGO Videogame Tie-Ins - Rumors & Discussion

Update on the Tremortusk, Brickclicker mentions it in a video saying that the image is probably fake. You never know for sure, but he has a very strong track record, so I'm inclined to believe him.
  5. The Venator looks perfect, I love it! Personally, I think it being the resolute is cool! Now the only question is to find a way to afford it...
  6. It's cool that the clone battle pack is a kinda like a remake of the original two battle packs. Not too sad to not have any star corps clones. With the macrobinoculars piece I feel like getting a set with Commander Bly i just a matter of time.

    LEGO Videogame Tie-Ins - Rumors & Discussion

They definitely used to be banned. I still have saved that old google doc that featured a list of allowed and band IPs. Something mad them change there mind. I recall a couple months ago the official Final Fantasy VII twitter account ran a contest that involved a MOC from seven. I think Horizon was always banned too, so maybe making that caused them to rethink things.

    LEGO Videogame Tie-Ins - Rumors & Discussion

The picture looks pretty good to me. There looks like a very blurry Aloy minifigure on the base. But people are pretty good at edits, and it's really convenient that the name of the set, the piece count etc, are all too blurry to read (since those could have been photoshopped from other sets. Also kinda of weird that not many accounts have posted it. I'm skeptical to avoid disappointment, but I hope it's legit cause it seems like a real cool set and I loved the last one!

Assuming the X-Jet is X-Men 97-based, I really hope that it comes with Gambit and Rogue. But any new X-people would be great!

For Marvel Modulars, I think it would be pretty neat if they tried some more experimental ideas too. Something like a Wakandan Embassy (even if it doesn't quite makes sense could be a very unique build) or Pym technologies building.

Licensed Lego Ideas - Support & Discussion

I made my first Lego Ideas submission about a month ago, based on Star Fox. Lego has been dipping there toes into further Nintendo IP, but I feel like Ideas is the only way we'll see Star Fox come to fruition. LEGO IDEAS - Star Fox: Arwing

    M4-23 Winners!

Congrats to the winners! So many amazing builds!
  15. Introducing the Tie Viper! The Tie Viper is meant to be an underwater variety of the iconic Imperial starship, for when the empire has nefarious things to do underneath the depths.... I was thinking about what type of ship I wanted to make for this context, and then during the night, I had a dream about an underwater imperial vehicle. I don’t remember what it looked like in the dream, but I thought it was a neat concept, an underwater vehicle, and kept that as the central concept of the idea. I wanted it to look familiar, keeping a similar shape, but in a way that’s instantly discernible. Which resulted in the wings being so close to the cockpit. I pictured it as a stealth vehicle, kinda lurking around in the dark depths, waiting to attack unsuspecting rebels which is why I went for a darker color scheme compared to other imperial fighters. The cockpit is much larger and deeper compared to most Tie fighters. There is room for both a pilot at the front and a gunner at the back. It’s got a little extra room in the middle potentially for troops to sit and wait. Since the Imperials don’t have a huge underwater fleet, I imagined it would need to be a multipurpose vehicle. The model was created in stud.io, and exported to Sketchfab (where I took screenshots) since I didn’t have all the pieces I would need to build it on hand. The ship is entirely black, but the lighting in Sketchfab makes it look a little bluer than it’s supposed to. (I hope that’s alright, this is my first time exporting a model as a 3D file)
  16. My submission for the Minifigure Habitat, The Karn Family Breakfast Bonanza! This diorama recreates the iconic scene from Andor where Syril and his mother Eedy Karn enjoy a carefree meal together with no judgment! (I used an app to remove the background in this photo) We can see a bird’s eye view of the breakfast room. I removed the chairs and table just to get a better view of the back wall (I’m pretty happy with the greeting) And here we have our custom minifigures! Everyone’s favourite Imperial sympathizer, Syril Karn in his casual outfit! It was a challenge to find a torso that was bland enough but still fit the futuristic aesthetic. Eedy Karn, 5-time winner of Mother of the Year! (an award she probably gave herself). Finding a face that matches her stern expression was important. And who could forget everyone’s favourite character, R0O-8A, the loveable cleaning droid who is totally a real Star Wars character and not something I made up to hit the limit of 3 minifigures. In seriousness though, I liked the idea of making a droid from scratch and the idea of a cleaning droid felt mundane enough to fit within this scene. R0O-8A has vacuum pads on the bottom to suck up any dirt as well as containment canisters on the back to store said dirt.
  17. My entry for the Nature is After You category: Reeksa Root Retrieval! This MOC is based on Season 1 Episode 18 of Star Wars the Clone Wars: Mystery of a Thousand Moons. In this scene, Anakin and Obi-Wan travel down a crevice on the planet Iego (with an i not a L) in order to find the cure for the Blue Shadow Virus: the Reeksa root. But upon finding the root, the Jedi find themselves attacked by the deadly Reeksa! (I guess the root is named after the monster/plant) I really liked the idea of depicting Anakin and Obi-Wan fighting off the Reeksa on the side of a wall, I really wanted to play with the verticality. In the episode, the Jedi retrieve the root from a crevice in the ground, and it was fun layering the plant pieces within the ground to try and recreate that. The majority of the build is the rock wall, I made sure to make more use of SNOT bricks this time around to give more variety to the rock face, but also to make sure that the plant work could be layered within. I didn’t have the best selection of parts on hand to create the Reeksa with it being very organic and bendy, but I’m decently happy with how it turned out, It was important to portray the arcing movement as if it’s on the attack. Took some inspiration from the sandman build from the daily bugle.

    [M4-23-Rogue Clone] - Boil’s Lament

Thanks! When you put it like that, I totally see it, the majority of the pieces I used were from the early 2000s so that might be the reason Thank you! Thanks for the feedback, totally agree. Was a bit at the mercy of the pieces I have available for building at the moment, but I'll have to invest in more snot and rock pieces for the next one.
  20. Hope y’all can forgive the background. I’m still pretty new to mocs and this is the biggest diorama I’ve built so far, pretty happy with how it turned out.2 Introducing Boil’s Lament! I always like to imagine that Clone Trooper Boil participated in the battle of Utapau (which he probably did but we’ll probably never know for sure). I liked to imagine that had been there, somehow he would have resisted order 66, or at the very least questioned whether the Jedi really betrayed them. This diorama depicts part of the aftermath of Utapau. After believing General Kenobi has been eliminated, Boil’s team is sent into the depths to confirm the Jedi master’s demise. While his team secures the area, Boil lowers down into the water to investigate, finding only the remains of poor Boga, and Obi-Wan’s cloak. Holding the hood in his hands, he only asks himself, why? Why would their stalwart general betray them? One trooper secures the repelling equipment so that Boil can be safely lowered (and raised back up). Another trooper stands at attention in case any dangers attack the survey team. This trooper scans the surroundings, ensuring no surprises disrupt the survey team. 0

  22. Yoda's starfighter looks fine, but not for me. I actually think Yavin looks really good for the piece count, I really thought it would look rough with everything that was rumoured to be included. Still a pass over everything else we're getting this year. They are really pushing it with the clone sets, that swap speeder is way too small for that price, and doesn't even have any battle droids or something to explain why its more than the 501st set from January.
  23. This is a really incredible design! The shaping and scale are excellent, and I love that you added a working cockpit ramp. It's super cool!
